I have a question. I am honestly curious. There are many on this board that openly dislike Juggs/whomever he wants to be today. This is no secret. You fight with him on a regular basis. You report him to the mods often. But yet you want to reward him with a duplicate account that he can use at his will and whimsy to continue to berate and abuse you.
I guess I have a hard time understanding this. Explain it to me.
I fight with Juggs on a regular basis, but I don't dislike him. I just don't take what he says too seriously, I don't know if he feels the same way but whenever I clash heads with him I do it all in good fun

I voted yes because no matter what my day was like, a post from The Big Capp Dogg would make me laugh. Maybe I need to go back & read all of the posts, but I don't remember him directly going after another person on here. I have no problem with the duplicate account and would love to hear more from the people that do.
I voted yes, but I would like it to be with the caveat that it is the only account Juggs be allowed, and he gets banned for two weeks every time he breaks character.

You have rage quit before because of him.
Yeah, but that was when I took the internet too seriously.

if he wants to have the capp dogg be his only account, go for it.
just b/c some people find him funny doesn't mean he gets to do whatever he wants.

I don't think I was around during this user's run here, or if I was I wasn't paying attention. Was it actually AC? Or is this some classic and notorious bullshitting.
Someone: Context. Let's go.
Parody account from Juggs that pretended to be AC. Not the real person at all. He made a lot of over the top posts which you can read here: inforoo.com/user/17031/recent
Most found it funny, some didn't like being ridiculed, some felt it was unfair treatment (since there aren't supposed to be duplicate accounts for members). Caused some headaches and was locked down.
Correction: people who actually take time out of their day to complain about something like this caused some headaches.
How about we make a rule - there can only be one parody account and its Jugg's "The Big Capp Dogg". Despite me thinking that Juggs is a sack of human misery and insecure condescension, I can at least still recognize the hilarity of The Big Capp Dogg. I mean, the shit is hilarious.

How about we recognize that the rules here are pretty arbitrary and enforced with a heaping side of discretion? I don't think there's a single thing wrong with that, but let's not stand on ceremony and pretend this is some slippery-slope, law and order issue.

I don't really dislike anyone, if we're being honest.
I'd like to point out that the Capp Dogg's ire was directed at all, and was never used to target any specific members of the board.
With respect to the "unfair treatment" angle, which inevitably leads to the "if you allow this then people can just make as many terrible parody accounts as they'd like" argument, I'd suggest that the litmus test for being allowed a parody account would be the recognition of that account by the target of the parody in a Reddit AMA.
Interesting that the very litmus test you suggest has been passed by only you.
Well, that litmus test was suggested precisely because it would place constraints on the whole idea of "parody accounts." You see, because some people think like this:
While I personally found the account quite funny and would like to see it brought back for my own entertainment, I think it sets a sort of precedent to bring it back. Then there's nothing stopping other posters from making novelty accounts, which could go downhill fast.
Then what, we post a poll for whether or not a novelty account stays or goes? Then the novelty accounts could be used to skew the results of the novelty account polls. Easier to just nip a potential issue in the bud ahead of time.
Also, I hate fun.
It eliminates the "slippery slope" argument, which is often cited to.
I voted No. I do not like the idea of a parody account of Mr. Capps. It leaves the door open for too much trouble. My, humble and solitary, opinion. Of course.
Seeing as how AC and co. are already aware of it, and clearly don't care, what's the trouble you're afraid of?

This is an easy one. The Capp Dogg hasn't ever targeted someone out of spite or general mean spirit. It's an over-the-top caricature which ultimately pokes fun at the entire festival concept.
Also, it's not like I need a second account to "berate and abuse" people. I do that just fine on my own. This is something else.

I honestly wonder how much it being Juggs skews opinions on the matter. I can't help but think the response to it would be different if it was someone who was viewed generally in a more positive out at the least neutral light.
In regards to special treatment, are we deciding that Juggs is the only one who can ever have a parody account ever? No. He's just the only one who had really tried it out and found success. If someone else started dropping gems under a parody account, I'd be totally fine with allowing it as well.

I mean, let's be completely clear- the association with me is absolutely what skews the opinion. That's really the only issue.

Voted no. Could only get through about half the recent posts (I was not around when this all originally happened). At first it was amusing but it got old pretty quick.
I was not around when he was terrorizing the board so i have no bias against him.
And also, I like where he said Bjork makes awful subguttural warblings! It was funny and I love Bjork. But i can see why some would not want this dude around.

The only people who have a serious problem with the Capp Dogg account are posters like EAP and Gibran who have a long history of Juggs issues. Gibran is at least pretending to have a (flimsy) reason for opposing the account, EAP isn't even trying.
AC knows about the account and doesn't care. Neither should the Inforoo moderator staff. This is a clear cut issue, just look at the poll results.

clear cut? i hardly think that 35 voters count as that.
what would be a good enough reason for you guys? nothing anyone says seems to be legit.
