I voted YES!
Simply because I have such a deranged sense of humor that I found everything by the capp dog funny to me personally.
If people got butt hurt then they need to push that lil red X in the top corner. No reason to get upset over what someone on the internets says about you.
I do not find it particularly funny and it is against the rules.
If the rules are changed then so be it. When things get crazy busy around here it is hard enough to keep up. Add in dupe accounts and I believe it would get really messy.

Humor is subjective, and if you don't find it funny, obviously no big deal.
But I don't believe people are asking for any and all duplicate account to be allowed, just to free this one in particular. It wouldn't cause any more headache during the busy season, business as usual, except allowing the The Big Capp Dogg to roam his territory freely like the alpha male he is.
Would this be bending the rules as they currently are? Yes. Is that necessarily a bad thing? I don't think so. It's a nice comic relief that the VAST majority of the site finds humorous.
I guess I don't see the harm in it. Never been one to follow a rule just because it's a rule. Sometimes rules need to be broken, or at least bent.
Edit: and to pretend a significant portion of the negative reaction isn't simply because it's Juggs is a little naive imo. There are several on the board with a strong dislike of him, this is just another way for some to express it.
It is moved and seconded that the following resolution be adopted: To alter the rules of the inforoo forums to allow more than one account per person, per lifetime, either with explicit moderator permission or until such time as the privilege is used for evil or nefarious purposes. The floor is now open for debate.
I changed my vote from yes to no last night. The people arguing for 'no' make much better points. It seems like a lot of people who are saying 'yes' to this and not worrying about precedent are the same people who would argue for the importance of precedent in other future hypothetical situations. I don't think liking or disliking a poster should have relevance for a yes or no vote, otherwise people who aren't liked could be voted out as well. But just because some people view the Cappdogg posts as fun shouldn't be the basis for defining the rules and guidelines that are used to make future decisions. It would be hard to explain to idiot X that he can't have a duplicate account when someone else does.
First, I'm unclear as to why people seem to think it's going to be a free-for-all. It reminds me of the insane right-wingers who argue against shit like gay marriage with foolish slippery slope arguments. "What's next, people start marrying their dogs? Or sisters? THIS WILL LEAD US DOWN THE PATH TO DESTRUCTION."
Second, there are already several parody/duplicate accounts which are allowed to operate on this board.
Third, before the Capp Dogg account ever went live, a request outlining the purpose of the account was sent to the moderators, who allowed it.
Fourth, in the year or so that the account was active, there weren't any instances of people running amok trying to create their own duplicate/parody accounts. So we have at least some evidence that it won't be the precedent-setting nightmare we're all wringing our hands over.

I understand your points. Just giving my thoughts. Yes, Juggs is uh...polarizing(?) but that is not necessarily part of my opinion. It may be for others.

At this time I'm only aware of two confirmed duplicates. If you want us to shut down Horn's then we can. QSAROO is not being shut down. If there are others who are definitely duplicates then I'm not aware or haven't been able to prove it.

Just for clarity: You created the duplicate account which you knew was against the rules (which is why you used to post as Capp Dogg under your original name) and then asked us how fast we would ban the account and told us that it would be better/funnier if it was allowed to exist. I agreed and vouched for the account to the other mods who were hesitant to allow it. I pushed for it and made it clear to you if we got complaints or if you attacked others directly we would have to pull the plug. We got complaints, pulled the plug, and then after we got rid of the account you would bring it back/make another one to post as AC again.
I've stated already that I liked the account. But I want the background info on it to be accurate.

This isn't how I recall it happening, at all, but fair enough.
Why can't the posts be done from the account that he already has? Is the username that essential to the gimmick? It seems like everyone already knew who was behind it.
The opposite point to this is that it was well known that it was juggs posting under the account. He just used the account to make in character posts for a comedic gimmick. He didn't do anything that would be out of character for him to post on his own account, so why is it a huge deal for him to just post it from a second account in order to make it funnier? itrainmonkeys posted as Mark Twain for a while under his account. The posts look weird now that he has reverted to his standard name. Moreover, I hate to bring them into it, but QSAROO could post everything they do from their various accounts. It just makes it a lot easier when they are able to post from one account. It just speaks to the double standard in play where some cite rules as a basis behind their No opinion when that account is obviously also against the rules. Everyone just allows it because everyone can agree they do amazing work.

I complained about Phy Segall on multiple occasions. Do my complaints not matter or do I have to be secretive about it and send it through PMs and never mention it on the boards in order to make things happen?

I wanted to refresh my memory and went back and found the PMs between you and I at the time you created the account. The creation and allowing of the account is definitely how I described it here. There may be something off/mixed up with the info about you bringing the account back to life (I was a little fuzzy on that part) but the creation of the account was definitely how it happened from my viewpoint. If you had discussed the topic with other mods before that then I may not be aware of some details.

We've talked with Phi when he gets complaints against him and if you're serious that you don't think we've done our job when dealing with him then you can let me know. This is a different situation in the sense that we told him that we'd bend the rules for him (even though some didn't think it was deserved) but if it got complaints or if he singled out people (instead of the big rants in the Which stage) then the duplicate would have to be shut down.
If Iamrob is allowed to create 10 accounts I don't see why Juggs can't use a duplicate as well
Which 10 accounts are his? We've tried to ban them when we know for sure it's the same person. Please let us know which duplicates are his. I know Juggs believes that Scud is him so I've been looking into it more.

Yeah Scud is his newest account, but I think the other nine or so have been deleted/banned, but Scud is definitely Rob

So then your point about us allowing him to have 10 accounts doesn't really make sense, does it?

The part about Phy was totally jokes.
So the duplicate was shut down bc of complaints? It's just that I don't remember him using the account to single people out at all.

I was going more along the lines of that he's banned but continues to make new accounts and post until someone makes a problem out of it. He's been posting for seven months without being banned again even though people like Horn and Juggs have pointed out that he's Iamrob
