Don't be sad about it! It was just after they released Waiter: "You Vultures!" and the "company" they booked the show through was a bunch of dumb kids who didn't really know what they were getting into. Even the dickish behavior can't keep them from being one of my favorite bands.

oh, but here I am fangirling SO HARD when I saw john gourley (he was wearing a tunic in august...)at a fest last summer. I wanted to get a photo with him, but didn't want to bother him while he was on the phone, soo instead I look like a real fucking [awkward] creep.

I'd call it a combination of the two. He was very obviously upset about something when we caught him and we didn't really realize this until it was too late. We just apologized for the shitty turn out and thanked him for playing an awesome show anyway. I wish I could remember what was so dickish about it, but it was 7 or 8 years ago. I do remember him asking us where all of our friends were.
There were a few people yelling out Anatomy of a Ghost songs during the lulls.

Every other person I've talked to that's talked to any of them has said great things. Mine was just a chance bad evening. :-)
Also, i make that face ALL the time. It's called "Kait face" in my circle of friends.
I'm sad that it's to the point where I don't really care who the EDM headliner is because I can almost assuredly expect to skip it due to conflict (unless it's Massive Attack, but I'm not holding my breath for that)
I will say that Pretty Lights wouldn't be shocking/disappointing because he got the live band since he last played roo. So I'm sure plenty of people would be delighted with him being our EDM HL (though more people would probably be aggravated)

I love Pretty Lights. I'm going to Basslights next weekend. Hoping he doesn't play Roo again for at least a few more years for the sake of variety.
They should try to get Moby, Justice, Fat Boy Slim, or Chemical Brothers. Heck I'd be happy with a mau5 return... But we'll get stuck with Calvin Harris or Martin Garrix and it will be horrible.
