I've said it a few times now but I will say it again. Alabama Shakes held their own at Shaky Knees. Much better show than the previous few times I saw them. The band is starting to catch up to Brittany's talent level and the new material was very good.

A few of my friends saw them last summer right after jade was no longer part of the band and said they pretty much just skipped over songs where jade is a main part and that it was unsurprisingly weird as hell.

yeah, it's definitely killed any interest for me. I was invited to join said friends to that show, and declined because what's the point without jade? she's at least half of the appeal. plus the way she merrily bops around stage is so endearing.

I believe they now do it as a crowd singalong kind of thing. I was lucky enough to catch them seven times before Jade left. They were easily my favorite live act. But the post-Jade videos I've seen don't look too good. I really hope they can work it out and get her back in the fold. Also, don't judge them based on their albums. Their albums suck and that last one was fucking awful. It's all about the live show. Their Which to Sonic sets at Roo are some of my all time favorite musical memories.

Oh I think I caught them the last time they were at 'Roo, I definitely remember hearin' "Home," maybe from the ends of the crowd and bein' happy with that.
But I always had wanted to see them; not really now though.

It's a shame things went down with the band and Jade. Seems like the whole group was behind splitting with her. It's one of my favorite bands but I'm afraid to see them without her. It just doesn't seem right. Hopefully they mend.
And their last album was great, but not as great as their first. The second, in my opinion was their weakest (but still great).

I don't hold the behavior against him at all. I'd be in a pretty sour mood too if only 40 people showed up to my bands show because no one promoted it. Just want to replace the memory.
