No, Caribou will be in Darkside's spot. Now the real question, who's worthy enough to hold down the spot before?
You're overly optimistic. Bonnaroo has an unfortunate history of this bullshit.
I actually picture Caribou in a slot similar to Cut Copy, closing out a tent.
Oh, I'm all too familiar with some of the strange scheduling choices Bonnaroo goes with sometimes.
I think they actually did a nice job with the lat night schedules last year though. Who would have thought they'd actually give us a metal tent one night, or have the genius to book Nick Cave into Darkside? Imo, there were solid choices for just about everyone last year.
Closing out a tent for Caribou wouldn't be terrible either. I could live with that. Either way, Caribou at Bonnaroo will be a good thing.
But could you imagine a Caribou -> Simian Mobile Disco late night? SMD could do a traditional set to start with (a la their Live album), then finish it off with an awe inspiring sun rise performance of Whorl.

Caribou would definitely be in the electronic/Hip-Hop themed Other Tent. Seems unlikely Roo would give him a late night. That slot would probably go to some womp womp lazer set.

You're better than this. Are you better than this? I thought you were better than this.
I'd love to see FlyLo at Roo again and I'm sure he would be given another late night if he returns with this setup. It's the only way it could work. It's great Roo gave Darkside a late night. Usually, it seems, they reserve that spot for the high energy EDM acts like Boys Noize. I don't know that Caribou would be a big enough draw for the masses for them to give him a late night set unless it was the 3 am spot when Centeroo isn't as crowded. Then again I went by that Pedrito Martinez set one year and there were only about 50 people there. I think he might have been up against Skrillex and the SuperJam that night.

I could see him playing the late night spot in This or That like Darkside or Animal Collective in '13. Darkside went up against the wompy Kaskade on Which and Glitch Mob on the Other Tent. Animal Collective went against Porter Robinson on The Other Tent and Pretty Lights on Which. So this year Calvin Harris on Which, Dillon Francis on the Other, and a nice empty tent to enjoy Caribou on This or That. Book it!

Also just want to restate for the record that Pops had this confirmed like 5 days ago. I know that nobody pays attention to the feeble ramblings of an old man, but he had the scoop.

Funny you mention Dillon Francis saw him last night. It was terrible, good for dancing though.

Seeing him in a couple weeks, I wouldn't complain if he was there, I'm sure many others would though

It was fun, I like going to a show just to dance my ass off sometimes. Especially if I have someone to dance with. Probably should have went with generic instead of terrible.

I'm guessing Caribou will end up being like Chvrches last year or Jim James the year before. Pre-headliner tent slot, round 8 pm. Before everyone heads to the What for a headliner.
11/2/19: Tool 5/17/19: Blues Traveler 5/9/19: Tool 11/10/18: Tenacious D 9/20/18: White Denim 7/23/18: Radiohead 6/4/18: Jack White 5/20/18: Tool 5/18/18: A Perfect Circle 5/18/18: Alice in Chains 5/6/18: Blind Melon
Hope Caribou pans out, put on a hell of a show Tuesday night. It's not just Snaith on a stage, he's got a full band he performs with. I'd guess they would get Polica's Thursday night slot, I don't think they're big enough to close out a Friday or Saturday night tent.

really? I think Caribou is definitely an established enough name to get a non-thurs slot.
i'd be totally cool with Caribou on thursday but i doubt that'll happen.
