What do you guys think they could do better? Any complaints any of you who attended have or heard?
Honestly didn't have any issues throughout the day, but mind you I only went on Sunday. I didn't catch any shows on the Honda Stage so I can't speak for the sound issues. Oh, another beer option besides Miller Lite would have be nice too
Yeah the beer thing was my biggest gripe too. I'm not particularly a Miller Lite guy either. It's being worked on!

They have Brooklyn Brewed stuff right there. Keep the Miller Lite but bring in some local stuff too.

It's going to seem like a ridiculous complaint for a festival or, you know, a business, but it really felt like they sold too many tickets.
The sound bleed from the main stage over to Honda/Big Apple was really bad. I didn't think it was that bad last year (of course I was at Outkast/Strokes/Jack White). I also felt like there was too much EDM but realize that's a preference thing.
Would love for them to drop the policy of no 2 years in a row because some of these artists are blowing up and could be higher next year. Tame is going to be headlining soon. I want Sturgill back too.
I also guess that (again, personal preferences) Saturday was light for me and Sunday was too heavy and I'd like a better balance.
These sound like a lot of complaints but I realize most of these can't be rectified and I really do love the fest. The food is great, a real plus, the activities are awesome, and I think they do a great job with limited space and resources.
This is a great fest - this was my third year in a row attending. Quickly becoming my go to fest. There's something I really like about Randall's Island - the fact that it's pretty uninhabited in this sea of ridiculous population density really gives it a cool feel. There is some sound bleed by Big Apple from the Main Stage. They could potentially expand the fest a bit, but I think the size is a big reason I like it some much. It's very easy to travel from stage to stage.

Soundbleed was fucking awful during Lana Del Rey. I was near the sound board for her set and you could still hear The Black Keys. Doesn't help that her vocals were almost non-existent in the mix.
Other than that, I had a good day on Sunday. Tenth time seeing Tame Impala and they're always great, Noel sounded good and the crowd was surprisingly decent (and unsurprisingly sparse), Weird Al was fantastic and the crowd were way up for it and Hot Chip/FlyLo sounded amazing.
I went on Friday and had a blast. As someone living in NYC I love GovBall -- it's close, it's easy, and they always have such a SOLID lineup. Now that I'm packing for Bonnaroo I'm kinda wishing I just did a three-day pass there and let it be.

I was blown away at the value of the VIP passes. Worth every penny, and I can't recall a festival of this size anywhere else that gives its VIP entrants the kind of perks that came with these tickets. Initially, I thought the size of the VIP looked big on the map, but only so that it would stand out more to those looking over the layout, but wow - I would guess about 1/8 of the tent was split off for viewing and the other 3 stages had what felt like a ridiculously large area roped off as well.
It was amazing to be able to walk right up to so many acts and grab a great view in no time at all; it really adds to the value to be able to jump between acts without the hassle of fighting through crowds. Throw that in with no bathroom wait and little to no food/drink vendor lines and you've got a great experience. The more time I spend seeing music and the less time fighting to get there, the happier I am.
I give it an A- but only because of Miller Lite...

Pearl Jam has to be an early favorite for next year. It sounds like Gov Ball has been trying to book them for years. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if they want after Radiohead or Gorillaz.
