Planning to come Friday night through Sunday. This will be our first Nelsonville, so I'm pumped too!

I'll be there early Thursday and staying until Sunday. I'd love to meet up with some people from the board. I'll be there most of Thursday by myself because my wife still has to work that day in Columbus.

I wish this ass were going to Roo, it is just not in the cards...unemployment is a fierce opponent. :-)

Wow! Missed the Mavis add. She was amazing at NFF last year! And she will be at the same fest as the 'smashing turtles' again. Looking forward to our first trip to this fest. Woah tomorrow is May! time to start thinking about this!
Schedule is up! I'll probably make a clash finder for this on Sunday when I get a chance, but I'll have to just guess at the end times since only start times are on the schedule. Based on previous years though I believe it's a given that main stage bands get an hour and headliners get 90+ minutes.

Here's the clashfinder, let me know if I made any big mistakes! Regarding set times, I made the general assumption that there will be 30 minute breaks between main stage and porch stage sets, and also that the no-fi cabin sets probably won't go longer than 45 minutes in most cases. It's definitely not completely accurate thanks to the lack of end times in the official schedule, but hopefully it helps anyone else who's going!

Looks like I will probably make it after all. Still have to check the ol' finances and actually buy a ticket, but I can leave work by 2 on Thursday and I have at least Friday and Saturday off. Might have to leave Sat. night or Sunday morning, not sure yet. We were supposed to be a group of three but the other two bailed due to not liking the lineup and family crap. Family shmamily, damn priorities. I did one of my 5 Roos solo though, so Nelsonville and the 3 hour drive should be no problem. I can't wait to kick back and enjoy some awesomeness.
Do they allow chairs into the venue? And I think I saw that camelbaks are not permitted. Do they enforce that? Vendor prices similar to Bonnaroo? I'm just wondering whether I need to pack much food or bottled water, etc.

Chairs have always been allowed into the festival and as far as camel paks go I'm really not sure. They have water filling stations inside so I don't see why they wouldn't allow it as long as they are empty going into the festival itself. Security is very lackadaisical getting in (open your bag, take a peek inside etc.).
That said I'm really excited for my 4th NMF. I saw the Lips in Nelsonville in 2011 and it was a phenomenal show, got to meet Wayne after the show and whatnot. The guy really loves the festival. Going to have a solid group of about 10 people and we'll be arriving early Thursday afternoon for the whole weekend and will be camping so if any of you folks want to mingle with some good people just let me know and I can PM my phone number. Going to be a great weekend!
Sunday you have to get out of the campgrounds? Clues as to what time it ends? We are Rving and starting the plan for when to drop off the rental, plans for sunday night, and when to start the trek home.
For some reason in the past I thought you had to be out of the campgrounds Monday by noon. Athens is a ten minute drive from Nelsonville and if you're interested in some delicious food and beer then I have to recommend Jackie Os if you're looking for something to do Sunday night. I lived in Athens for years and moved away last summer so I'll be staying an extra night in the area.

Hmm... 2 more days... and I have the NMF website loaded, with a ticket in my cart, unable to decide whether to pull the trigger or save the dough for Roo... I'm giving myself until the end of tonight's Cavs/Hawks game to decide. Dang, first world problems.

Quacker and I are heading out 4 am tomorrow.. Ohio hear we come! Really hope to meet up with some roosters.. only ones i know for sure we will see are Gibran and his lovely lady. We have a small facebook group for this and will prob open a whatsapp chat for meeting up. FB friend request and a message saying Rooster - add me?? Sorry so very tired and not thinking about logistics anymore.. its time to nap and drive!

Alright, I didn't wait for the end of the game. A 25-point lead at the end of the third quarter and a little liquid encouragement were enough to get me in a positive state of mind. Can't wait for The Flaming Lips, and The Black Lips, and it should be a nice prelude to Roo. And I hope to see ya'll having a good time.

This year, I'm a resident of Columbus and plan to camp with my sister. This will be her first festival! We are very excited and totally not prepared as of right now. I'm confident I'll get it all together; always seem to be cutting it so close! When are other people from Columbus planning on getting to the campgrounds?

I'm also heading down from Columbus, and I'm hoping to pull in around 12:30 tomorrow.
Just finished my last shift of work have have the next seven off. Going to be heading to Athens county from Chillicothe around 11 and hitting the campgrounds around noon. Would love to meet up with everyone. Camping in the campground with five of my close friends. Bloody Mary's at my campsite every morning!
Leaving in a few hours. I'll post on here when I get there, and hopefully I can meet up with some inforoo'rs. I'm flying solo until my wife gets off work tomorrow.

Very jealous of everyone. I've decided I won't be there tomorrow because with the move and everything coming up so soon I need to be responsible. It's going to be a blast, enjoy yourselves and stay safe. <3
