big boi/phantogram ln tent. each their own set then one set together. I don't feel like linking to phantograms twitter but they're in the studio together working on an ep
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Modest Mouse can do a late night set right this year.
I want it just as badly as you, if not more. That being said, I'm looking out for you when I say not to get your hopes up with such an (amazing) idea. Modest Mouse would be amazing and idc who I'd have to miss to see them, because I'd make sure I was on the rail for that show. But we will have to just be happy with modest mouse being on the farm at all.

honestly, I'd be thrilled with either of these for a late night show. But if they are just booked and play regular day time slots, I'd still be a happy girl.

The good news is expect both of them to be there (if tame impala gets their album out soon enough) and, even though modest mouse most likely won't get a LN, I feel like tame impala will either be pre-HL Which or LN tent, unless roo totally fucks up. But their show in 2013 was exceptional and it was late afternoon (I think during sunset or right before it) so, I'm sure the LN with the bigger stage setup and a new album would be many peoples' favorite show of the year.
How about Spiritualized in the Nick Cave spot? Both are slow, boring, and under appreciated in the U.S. acts. I imagine Spiritualized would play to an under attended tent. If Caribou followed, it would be so killer and come close to being the equal of Cave/Darkside.

I fully support this, but it won't be comparable to Cave/Darkside. I would kill for spiritualized, but I'd probably end up skipping out on Caribou due to conflicts since I just saw them in November.
Put out some more thought into it, it MIGHT be able to hold its own when compared to Cave/Darkside, but I doubt it. As opposed to being awesome, it would feel like bonnaroo's attempt to match last year and that would make it feel fake. Still, I support Spiritualized (with or without caribou following)
i lied, fuck Spiritualized -> Caribou, bonnaroo should make one of the LN tents be The Jesus and Mary Chain -> Spiritualized
I'm still pushing for a late night set from these guys... Their next album will most likely get them popular enough to play LN which
Tame Impala>RTJ would be amazeaballs. Tame to ASAP was a real treat to say the least. A quacking party treat.
Honestly I would have liked someone other than ASAP to follow, the crowd after Tame was not pleasant. I feel the same would happen if run the jewels played.... A different psych rock band, maybe king gizzard or TOPS would keep the good vibes.
Which : Primus & The CF ( 1am-330am) This : SuperJam / Govt Mule(Dark Side Of the Moon) That : Tame Impala / Portugaul.The Man Other : Run The Jewels / Fly Lo
Sat -
Which : Deadmau5 (1am-4am) This : Superjam / Galactic That : Flume / STS9 Other : Hot Chip / Ratatat

I agree! That was probably the least fun experience I have ever had at Roo followed by one of the best... A$AP was insane...but man that crowd was terrible. Everyone trying to leave and get in all at the same time... I'm 6'4" and was uncomfortable, I can't imagine what it was like for a small person... Let's get The Dead Weather to play late night after Tame if its on a stage...or The Black Angels...somewhere in that area.
Ha, yes, there will be so much damn love for Isaac
This is the one thing that the shitty headliners made me ecstatic about. If modest does get a LN set, I'll front and center at that bitch! I know it won't happen but I want Modest Mouse -> Spiritualized in That Tent this year that way I can get can get my modest mouse show and then the EDM kids will all leave for whoever is closing the which stage.
as a side note: I'll be livid if modest mouse or spiritualized conflict with MMJ during the latenight shows
Friday What: Florence + the Machine (6:00-7:30) -> Kendrick Lamar (8:30-10:30) -> Deadmau5 (11:30-2:00) Which: Steely Dan (7:30-9:00) -> Tame Impala (10:30-12:00) -LN-> MMJ (2:00-4:00) This LN: FlyLo Superjam (1:00-3:00) That LN: Modest Mouse (10:15-11:45) -> Spiritualized (1:30-3:30) Other LN: Flume (10:00-11:30) -> Run the Jewels (1:30-3:00)
Saturday What: DCFC (7:45-9:15) -> Mumford & sons (10:00-12:00) Which: St. Vincent (8:30-10:00) -LN-> Primus & TCF (11:45-1:45) -> Bassnectar (2:15-4:00) This LN: Flying Lotus (12:00-1:30) -> Caribou (2:00-3:30) That LN: New Basment Tapes Superjam (12:45-2:45) Other LN: Panda Bear (12:15-1:45) -> STS9 (2:15-4:15)
Who will be this year's Die Antwoord/Weird Al/Alice Cooper/Gogol Bordello/GWAR that will have an outrageous stage show and deliver the most uniquely crazy late-night shows of the weekend? I wish it could have been the Knife.

Could be Of Montreal though I hope it's someone far more rare

Eeek, flashbacks of the Die Antwoord pit still haunt me, which is equally great and terrible
With the lineup now officially out, let's figure out which shows are locks for late-night sets. I don't know all of the EDM artists and don't know many on the bill after Mac Demarco, so I might miss a few, but here are my guesses...
Locks for Which Stage: MMJ, Bassnectar
Locks for tents: Flume, Slayer, STS9, Flying Lotus, Caribou, SBTRKT, Jamie xx, Odesza, Rudimental, Gramatik, at least one rap artist (hoping for Run the Jewels)
Probable: Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Moon Taxi, Sylvan Esso
Wild cards: Gambino, Ben Harper, Atomic Bomb, Earth Wind & Fire, Twenty One Pilots, Trampled by Turtles, Between the Buried & Me, Pallbearer

How does that list look?
Bonnaroo has a long history of taking "locks" for late night sets and saying "here, enjoy playing in a tent at 4:00 p.m." See, e.g., Four Tet, SBTRKT, Battles, etc.
