Something terrible happened in the hills outside Bonnaroo - We are looking for people to be part of a film
crew to go up to the Tennessee hills and find out the truth about a man most people believe was framed for murder. The center of the tragedy is believed to be linked to a nefarious drug sting gone wrong.
This is for real. And there is the un fortunate fact that there is an innocent man in jail as we speak.
I feel like if you really want to help you should stop trying to make it so much about Bonnaroo when really the festival is just a detail in a bigger story. Sorry, this just seems like it'll make a mess of an already complicated situation.

This synopsis makes me think of a low budget horror movie. If you don't want arrested for selling drugs, then DON'T SELL DRUGS. And please change the synopsis.

I tried giving your FB page a look but it's all over the place. I agree that your synopsis needs work, it's not cohesive or informative. It also shouldn't consist mainly of quotes.
If this is truly something you care about, you have to write something that gets other people to care enough to read/watch.
I saw some interesting feedback so I thought I'd check it out myself.
Holy shit man.
ed: but if you're casting "various hill people", I would submit an audition to play hill person #2.
Don't put yourself down like that, you were born to play hill person #1
There might have been someone on this board that I thought should absolutely play a hill person when I was making the previous post.... They just quoted me. Let's do this. I can't make my eyes look crazy or whatever else a hill person might do, but I can chew tobacco for the length of the scene before I would have to throw up.

1. This isn't a film. Don't oversell it. A monkey can turn a camcorder on and point it at things. That doesn't make her Leni Riefenstahl
2. Your Facebook page looks like a hangout for acid casualties that can't grasp the idea of laws.
3.What does the name mean? Are you saying people should stand within Bonnaroo and fear the hills from a distance? Or is it a message? Bonnaroo is telling everyone to fear the hills. Or are they hills from Bonnaroo that we should fear?
4. Don't refer to your subjects as "hill people." It comes off as disparaging. It might also elicit images of the bald guy from The Hills Have Eyes.
5. If you can't communicate the basic idea of the project on a Facebook page then you absolutely have no idea how to raise funds, shot, and edit a "film" worth watching.
6. The Facebook page reads like the back cover of some book my Grandma checked out from the mobile library.
7. What is "regular arson?" How does it compare to abnormal arson or even frequent arson? Do these hill people ever experience a momentary lapse of arson?
This is for real. And there is the un fortunate fact that there is an innocent man in jail as we speak.
Two years ago I was camping in the hills after Bonnaroo, just minding my own business. Sherriff Myers framed me for some BS. His corrupt actions resulted in my kids being taken away and me put on the sex offender registry. I don't live in TN but will do whatever I can to help. Just let me know.
I love how as soon as the Roo Clues start the crazies start making threads. It's the most wonderful time of year?
Yes, actually there is an actual case which can be reference at tn.gov under Adam Clyde Braseel from Pelham, TN. This is for real the movie. It's not a joke and an innocent man is serving a life sentence..danger sets in because the feds hands are not clean in this

My first thought was this sounds like a terrible beginning of a found footage or Faux documentary drama. OF COURSE YOU'RE GONNA SAY THIS IS REAL! But I did a little looking and their are actual court documents on state government website supporting the story. I really don't think you should use Bonnaroo in the titel. The only relationship Roo has to do with this is a geographical proximity. I'm not trying to be mean or dash your hopes of making this film but putting Bonnaroo in the title really cheapens what credibility your trying to establish. It seems that your only putting Bonnaroo in the title because it will attract some attention. And it will. But after someone who's attention was caught by the mention of Bonnaroo reads the story they will say to themselves "WTF does this have to do with Bonnaroo? Doesn't even sound like any of these people went to Bonnaroo. Meh" [clicks the x on the top corner of their browser]
EDIT: And this is not to say that the story you're trying to tell isn't an important one. I'm just saying I wouldn't use Bonnaroo to draw peoples attention to it. It comes across like a ploy undermining what you're trying to achieve.

But Guize these hill people only live 38 miles away from Bonnaroo. It's totes about Roo. Hillz that big should be feared and the federal government is involved too.
You could have done better than using Topix posts as quotes.
He may be innocent but I doubt a poorly executed documentary is going to make a difference.
... Actually, documentaries do make a huge difference. If you don't like the ham sandwich Sheriff Myers, please tell me a way in which to word it better. But I cannot be accountable for the lack of intelligence or conveyance in tone of the FBI agents. They've lowered the standards for entrance into their academy so there aren't many Harvard grads investigating Tennessee drug corruption, sorry to say...

HAHAHA So don't use the facts of the case because they might draw attention to the subject? 100 million dollars comes to town every year and if you don't think there are nefarious local folk getting a piece of it, you are so naive.
This is not our first time at the rodeo. I have a 100 percent success rate. Albeit 1 for 1. An equally treacherous situation. I understand if this scares you though.
Clues come where they come from, the "the ham sandwich" remark was from the "source" not us.
People are signing up and we are looking for strong willed people who would like to be part of an adventure in making a film in a difficult situation. Trust me this is something that warrants action. I wont divulge too much here There is a reason for some secrecy for safety, but if you want more info, PM on the page and it will become clear we are not fooling around.
FBI agents....investigating Tennessee drug corruption
From the FB page
What pill bust? What drug corruption investigation? When I read the www.exonerateadambraseel.com I didn't see anything about this having something to do with a bad deal? Or how said deal was in anyway tied to Bonnaroo. Reading over that FB page I can't help feel that it's author has an interest in 2 disparate stories and is trying to link them together through Roo because legend has it that Roo is a giant drug induced free for all that the local cops camp outside of and harass anyone with an out of state plates. From everything I've read these things are not related.
Are you implying that Adam's wrongful incarceration is the result of a county sheriff (whose jurisdiction is not Coffee county) covering up for his involvement in drugs running through the town that were suppose to be on there way to Bonnaroo?
From the info available it sounds like lazy impersonal cops sticking to a bullshit investigation and feeling OK with sending someone who didn't commit a crime to prison for life. AND THAT IS HORRIBLE. SHIT LIKE THIS REALLY HAPPENS! But what it has to do with Bonnaroo, or drugs that may be destined for Bonnaroo....I guess what's not clear to me and is bothering me about this is how are you or the film maker linking them together?

Who are you even talking to?
And Tracey City has pretty much nothing at all to do with Roo. Does Grundy County even have more then one exit for the cops to reach I-24? Besides the Monteagle one, which I've NEVER seen police activity at during Roo. This sounds like the biggest pile of crap.
And I'll go ahead and tell you. You are one shitty filmmaker if you are coming onto a Bonnaroo message board trying to recruit people for your super secret project.
Coming from someone with real life experience working on films in dangerous places. Go away and stop embarrassing yourself.
