I'd love to go one year to experience Sherwood Forest. The lineup just never does anything for me. I still regret skipping Rothbury '09 when I had a chance to go. I was jonesin' for another camping fest filled with free spirits after my first Roo that same year and I liked the Roth lineup and the fact it was over the 4th of July weekend. I had only been to ACL before that year and thought two festivals one month after the other would be too much. Major fail on my part.
Yea everyone has different tastes but last years was an ideal lineup for myself. Got to see SCI, STS9, Moby, Booka Shade, Umphreys, Classixx, Shoolboy Q, Art Department, Andy C, Catz n Dogz, Saundersons (son and father), Dusky, Golf Clap, J Phlip, Justin Martin, Kygo, Lee Burridge, Lindsay Lowend, MK, Moon Boots, Papadosio, Soul Clap and the Floozies.

I could deal with that lineup if I lived closer and didn't have travel costs. It seems like they're making a shift and booking more acts I'm interested in. Didn't they have a Lauryn Hill Incident? I bet the FlyLo set was dope.
Didn't get to catch FlyLo but heard great things. Lauren Hill Incident was definitely cool to hear those Fugees classics. I think this was my favorite photo from SCI:
I have a group of friends who go every year - and the forest is something I've always wanted to experience. but it's always the weekend right after roo and there's no way my body would be able to handle that.
buuuuttttt, this year there's a weekend in between roo & EF. and I'm likely moving from minneapolis after this summer. so I really should go.
I just hope the lineup is more appealing to me this year than last year's was.

it's realy the jam band-y type stuff that doesn't really appeal to me - like string cheese, umphreys, etc. I've seen a handful of these acts live and it never does anything for me. I also can't do hardcore EDM for an entire weekend. for me there would need to be a good mix of EDM I like (flume, classixx, odesza, caribou, john hopkins etc.) and bands that are electro/indie/poppy (phantogram, chromeo, sylvan esso, chet faker, glass animals, etc.) to get me excited.
we'll see. I may just go regardless of lineup for the experience. I need to decide.

Went back in '09 when it was Rothbury and had the time of my life. For some reason I haven't been back. That changes this year. Got my tickets and am ready for the return. Let's get it.

Definitely on my list of festivals to consider but its close timing with Roo has always been the stopping point. I went to Firefly in 2013 and Governors Ball in 2014 so maybe I can swing it.

Lineup should drop anytime between now and Feb 14 based on a reddit AMA w the guy who runs EF (Jeremy Stein?) Who had said lineup will drop late jan - early feb. Lineup dropped on feb 14 last year, feb 5 in 2013 and feb 1 in 2012. Should drop between Noon and 3pm Eastern. Detailed enough for ya? Haha we're all pretty anxious over on reddit

I've tried to follow the reddit stuff but it's such a mess. All I got out of it was that people want Odesza and everybody thinks it's unbelievable when they randomly meet another person who has attended. I am hoping for a random day this week drop but wouldn't be surprised if it is Friday.

Yea, I've seen a lot of the ones that interest me. Though Digweed and Oakenfold would be awesome and I'd see Kaskade again. But that video is gorgeous.
