After meeting you krisp...that avatar is truly hilarious!!!!
OK...definitely need to get a classic rock act in there somewhere. I'm also up for Kacey Musgraves, Sturgill Simpson, and Jamey Johnson....now that would be some funky country.
Sledgehammer on the beach would be cool. Ditto some of Santana's tunes. I like that George Clinton/Funkadelic/Preservation Hall Band going down on pre-party Thursday at the Palladia stage. Excellent 2016 spot that The Word was in.
Mark my words...I called ZBB set being really good and now Tedeschi Trucks in 2016. They can bring it. They need an hour and a half time slot on the beach.
I am good with Cold Play, Mumford and Sons, The Raconteurs. Love to see Moon Taxi again as well as Jason Isbell, OCMS and Delta Rae who all have new albums since last Hangout.
C'mon krisp...yer killing me. OK...Coldplay...listen to clocks....Muse...only when my son is in the car, Kendrick....no way...Sam...my cousin in Dayton's fave....not so much with me.
Can't you find a rock n roller you like? Sorta kidding...sorta not. I'd have to do a sad panda protest and sit by the pool and drink. Hmmmm, maybe that lineup isn't so bad...hic...after all.
If you think Muse isn't rock Bob I think you have to go back and actually listen to them. Awesome guitar and basslines and their live show with their screen/lights/lasers set up is second to none. They'd be absolutely incredible on the beach.
Some suggestions for classic acts. I don't think many of these would be that expensive, although a couple could be.
James Taylor Cat Stevens Peter Gabriel Van Morrison Mark Knopfler Lyle Lovett Television Duran Duran Lionel Richie Bob Seger Duane Allman Jimmy Paige Dr. John Huey Lewis & the News Blondie Cheap Trick Joan Baez
Would die and go to heaven for Van Morrison on the beach.
Y'all are way late on the Muse thing.... I posted about that the day after the festival.
Yea I know you posted that picture of a ball on site but just wanted to follow up to that with that instagram Info I came across. I Don't think we knew that ppl were actually working the fest for muse or whoever.
Also for me MUMFORD n sons would be more ideal then Coldplay but that would be too good I think and makes me feel it's not realistic. Also cold plays a easy call to skip and catch the edm act. Disclosure would be great for that.

So for the most part I thought that the headliners, outside of Beck, were a let down this year. Zac Brown's set in year one was much better as was Foo Fighters set in 2011. I LOVED the undercard this year though. It was the best hangout since 2011 in terms of music in my opinion.
I think it's safe to say that either Arcade Fire or Muse will be there next year considering the balls and the fact than Win and Regine stayed around for the whole weekend and played that aftershow at the Gulf. That would automatically make next year's headliners better...but really this was just a down year for headliners for every festival except for those who got Macca.

Muse it is Zaj....Foos Rock....Ditto Sarah...Van Morrison would be prime for the beach. Peter Frampton playing that classic double album would also be awesome on the beach.

Yeah, it was the fourth time I had seen them and my least favorite. It was still good, just not great as the previous shows had been. I guess I've probably seen them headline more than anyone else, other than maybe phish or panic (and I'm not crazy about either of them either). I'm just ready for new blood. This was my 56th festival, so that makes it hard to see things I haven't already seen, which is no ones fault other than my own. Tame Impala on the beach next year would be perfect after seeing them at Shaky Knees. They're the next big Rock and Roll act in my opinion.
Neil Young and Crazyhorse or The Boss • Arcade Fire or Muse • Tame Impala would be perfect, but that's too rocky probably.
Foos were def great but their 2011 setlist does look a little better for my tastes. Doesnt change that they were awesome though. That being said I'd be more excited to see Muse or AF on the beach just given that they'd be firsts for the fest, I've never seen either in person, and both have incredible live shows.
If prefer AM too but after the heavy US touring last year I just worry about them being free next year. Cant get the Strokes out of my mind after that tweet they sent out.
So 300ish days of speculating who will play next year? This should be a combination of fun and exhausting.
Well, it's 361 days now and Hangout announced their lineup January 15th and that would be 125 days before the preparty, so it's more like 230-ish days.

I said to myself, "Take a fee months off from inforoo since hof id over." Didn't happen. I'm awaiting the FFF Fest and NOLA Jazz Fest line ups, then everything os set. Come FFF, it'll be time to gear up for SXSW rumours.
