Mumford and Sons | Arcade Fire | Muse | The Dead Weather Disclosure | Tame Impala | Elvis Costello & The Imposters Weezer | J. Cole | Alesso | Chromeo | St. Vincent | STS9 MGMT | Old Crow Medicine Show | Run the Jewels | Diplo
I could fuck to this. You know I debated adding arcade fire to my mock instead of pearl jam but then edited back. I would have run the jewels on mine but figured they'd fall lower on the lineup. And I would totes take dead weather over ROBERT plant but gotta have something for the old heads yu know? I'm guess that's where Elvis Costello comes in and old crow. +5 gold stars!
It's a pretty uninspiring, softcore, gererifest lineup there Zen. I like most of that stuff, excepting Alesso because I don't really like any of the big names in the euro-whatever genres. I thought the Coachella stream was Bottom 1 edm. I tried to go back to it multiple times and kept changing the station. Same goes for Tiesto, Hardwell, Axwell, Fedde LeGrande and Avicii. That shit bores me to tears though I realize a lot of people dig it.

I'd like to see them both, but for different reasons. I could do Costello late afternoon or early evening, but I'd want to see Plant at night. His last album was pretty eclectic but it had a lot of energy. Now, if he were to show up with Allison Krauss, that would be a night to remember. (just dreaming)

Yes this. I planned to have mrs Krause on there but lower down as well. I could finish the poster if you'd like haha.

Go for it! I'll make a mock schedule if you do the whole lineup. Even pre-party
Why do y'uns keep putting Tame Impala so low? They're a headliner from here on out for things like Hangout. The new album is great. Maybe the fourth name, which is NOT a headliner, right, Krisp? Winky face or smiley face.
The jury is still out on that.
Besides this is THE Hangout, don't you know that? They're lucky to be on the 10th line.
I feel as if Tame Impala would close down the Palladia stage at Hangout. Just because that's what Hangout does. Opposite a pretty heavy hitter like Flo/Robert Plant/ Sam Smith/Insert surf stage closer. Seems like a great spot for them rather than a day set on the beach.

After seeing Tame Impala recently, I would never want to see them during a day set. They are definitely a night-time show.
Top five acts I'd like to see at Hangout next year that haven't played it before.
1 - Arcade Fire 2 - Arctic Monkeys 3 - Tame Impala 4 - Local Natives (side note - they're in the studio right now so I think there's a very real possibility they make the 2016 lineup) 5 - Band of Horses
They're a Chevy/Surf closer imo which seems very fair. They get a sunset/nighttime set, throw them in at #6 on the poster. 2nd line could easily go something lame but mainstream like Imagine Dragons or Sam Smith (We're probably getting one of them) | Untz (Disclosure/Bassnectar) | Tame Impala.

They have an album coming out in July. Thanks to Sam, we all know that if Hangout books them early and the album pulls anything at the Grammys, they'll be up there.
Wow...Hangout 16 blur whatever has fallen off the front page of threads this afternoon. Can't remember that happening in a while. It would be cool if someone could post a simple link to a list of all the upcoming festivals by date, location, types of music or headliners.
I like the proposed list. Add Tedeschi Trucks in there somewhere...probably a second or third line band at this point, and I would say my alumni/earliest bird tickets and condo are a good deal. Gotta figure out how to get all into the condo next year with one parking spot. Some entrepreneurial (sp?) person in the Gulf Shores area should eat that up. If I was BR-Meyer, etc, I would cash in on that one myself. "Park you second of third vehicle here and we will shuttle you to your condo for $$". If the airlines can do it...why not realtors. Another solution is to park the construction vehicles on the construction and make the workers walk a block to the condo so the people going to the show are not put out by the people constructing the show. Other ideas?
Can we merge all the Hangout 2016 logs into one thread? Seems to work out better that way. Hope everyone has their heads and homes above water, enjoyed Memorial Day, and over the hump day.

I know someone who was working in the restaurant during the fest this year and she said they made them park at a lot a mile away and walk. No shuttle, nothing. I know Hangout is only associated by name now, but that seems kind of harsh.

Dang. Would.
My theory is Imagine Dragons would play the night Pearl Jam does. So your main stage headliners would be PJ, Muse, Dead Weather. Imagine Dragons, Bassnectar, and Flaming Lips close the Surf Stage. Tame, Weezer and Elvis are your pre-headliners on the main stage.
still not buying Tame Impala as a headliner next year for mid-larger fests.
Also, I understand that you enjoy the Dead Weather, but what makes you think they're going to be playing any time soon? And they're definitely not a headliner in my opinion.
Dead Weather and Raconteurs. Y r they on any mocks right now? It sounds like Jack is taking a long (and deserved) break other than some small theatre shows. I mean I know we're jus dickin around with these but they both continue to pop up with no explanation.

Jack is working with The Dead Weather on something.

Yeah, I mean I don't mind it, because these mocks mean nothing at all, but I feel like some of the acts on Zen's mock make a lot of sense. Seven repeats in the top four lines might be a stretch, but I'd love to see Tycho on the beach.
Maybe I'll try one soon so I'm not just pointing the finger and then you all can clown me too.

Not sure the point of this since sk also had avetts as a headliner and they where a mid day act on the main stage at hangout several years.
