Taxi rocked. They really do Rage well. Didn't see Freedia. Grouplove was fun and I was thrilled when they covered Beastie Boys Sabatoge. Matt and Kim had a mega crowd and the show was high energy. They weren't on my radar, but I'm happy I got to see them.

Sounds like a lot of fun last night. Checking the current radar and rain might just get outta there by noon-2:00. Hard to tell. There is a lot of rain south and west in the Gulf.
Hate to miss Jason Isbell...will look forward to seeing him at Bonnaroo. Got my ticket and parking pass.

Pre party was fun. People of the Sun rocked me hard. Had a great time at the pre-pre party also. The apple pie moonshine was a nice way to start the weekend. Can't remember which of you crazy folks brought it but thanks! Nice to meet you sparkysarah. Chickinchickasaw is the greatest host!
Pre-party was one of the best we've had. My best friend surprised us all and got engaged during Taxi sound check. Video is their FB page. Kim added a nice shin bruise to go with my deadlift scabs. So I "caught" one of her drum sticks (unathletic nerds don't catch shit). Weather seems to be on the up & up. Great start to the fest.

It was great to see you guys, and a double thanks for the shine, jdstultz! You should go into business and sell that stuff. cmack and Ne215's crew stopped by not 15 minutes after you left and we finished it off. AWESOME! Weather is sucking big time right now, but hopefully it'll break early afternoon. Fingers crossed.
Looks like it's almost by you guys, though it'll probably stay cloudy for a bit. Maybe a shot at some spotty light showers off and on, but you guys will be fine sooner than later unless some new storms form, and they aren't forming here. Don't forget that depending on cloud types, you can still fry.

1/5 (750 ml) moonshine (ever clear or high-proof vodka works, too) 750 ml Captain Morgan 1 gallon Apple Cider 1 qt Apple juice 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 10 cinnamon sticks
Combine cider and juice, bring to simmer. Add sugars and cinnamon sticks, bring to simmer again. LET IT COOL. Add liquiors, send a message to the crazy old guy from Illinois, and enjoy.
Let the mix cool to room temperature before adding booze, or the alcohol will evaporate.
