Also, in regards to the repeat act, it'd def be Jack White for me. Imo his shows have gotten nothing but better since our show and I'm much more familiar with his stuff so I'd enjoy it that much more. As a big DMB fan I've been outspoken about them staying away from fests. I think they've had one truly solid setlist from start to finish at a fest and that was Mile High Fest in 2008.

Jack would be #1 for me also. I'd also be open to Stevie Wonder (since I quacked up and didn't see him in 2013), KOL (I love them, haters gonna hate), Tom Petty (if he switches his set up), and I wouldn't mind giving Paul Simon a shot.
I'd see the first 2 with no problems but yeah I completely forgot about Imagine Dragons until they f*cked up the Life Is Beautiful lineup. There's a huge chance we get them next year.

I know we'll eventually have to deal with them, but I want to put that off for as long as possible.
^^ we called to ask about booking ours again and they told us we were better of waiting bcuz they couldnt guarantee the price bcuz they knew there would be an increase, something like that but cmack would know better since he talked to them. I got a bad feeling im gonna have to miss next year if these prices become too outrageous, i love this fest and all but im not trying like $300 for a ticket and 2k for a room
Right. Seabreeze wasn't bad at all and a 15 minute walk up west beach. We didn't have a problem walking around all weekend. I'm sure we could book there again at a cheap rate but without chichinchickasaw's gracious hospitality we wouldn't have been able to leave the fest for drinks/relaxation and make it back for the next set which is what we are looking for.
Southern Sands still has a few units available, 4 nights running between $980 (sleeps 6) - $1900 (sleeps 8). It's right next to Island Winds West.
Voodoo lineup comes out sometime next month. They are not getting Tool because those dinguses haven't finished the new album yet. Maybe next year. Rolling Stones are doing a Stadium tour and are not going to get booked at a US music festival this year. Coachella is the only one that can afford them and they got AC/DC instead.

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't really enjoy Stevie as much as I thought I would. Seems like he had us singing half of his songs for him. It felt like he wasn't all there, and then he started crying...
Stevie sucked. Also on the Imagine Dragons note, really hoping we don't get them and Sam Smith both next year. That's 2 complete duds that will be in the top 4-5.
stevie was good to me, not as good as the last time i saw him (still one of my fav sets ever at ACL 2011). IG and Sam on the bill would be pretty brutal i dont even wanna think about it just bcuz of where they would be billed, i do dig the first IG album though and enjouyed them live at MIa 2 years ago in a mid day slot

I think the thing Hangout should do now that they have the keys to the Goldenvoice castle (and maybe GV's phat bank account) is to not do what Firefly did and book a act so massive (Macca) that it cuts down the quality of the rest of your lineup. Firefly does nothing for me after the halfway point of the lineup. Instead of going to get someone major like Paul, grab maybe 4-5 big names and use what's left over to beef up the mid-to-lower tier of your lineup.
Any of the vets have an idea where Paul ranks in terms of pricing as a "get" for a fest? Like if you had to rank Paul, Elton, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Prince, the big heavy hitters of classic #1's fests would go for, how would that be laid out? Any names I'm forgetting. I guess you could throw Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac in that discussion too.

Not necessarily a Muse fan but I believe they would rock out hard. Everytime I hear that one new song I just get Marilyn Manson Beautiful People stuck in my head. Plus: lasers
watched the DVRd SNL last night...what about Rhianna? (Don't get crazy on me it's just a thought)

I think I'd put Paul, Elton at the top Billy and Fleetwood next then Prince and Metallica and Pearl Jam last. Just because they seem more agreeable to me than the others. Buy I am also just making this all up.

Paul - Elton - Prince - Billy - Fleetwood- Metallica - Pearl Jam would be my best guess.
Just find a way to get us a random Arcade Fire show as the Sunday closer and idc about the other 2 headliners. I'll jus get f*cked up and bounce around in the tent if I have to. I say this because this fest would never book some1 like NIN, TOOL, or Metallica so I'm not even considering them. Also, it's about time this fest gets f*cking Pearl Jam. They brought back Foos and ZBB who played Deluna in 2012 and Hangout in 2010/2011 respectively in the same year. No more excuses, go get 'em.
I was actually wondering the same. I can figure out how to get on there and find the torrents but can't find the link to actually DL the torrent itself.
