Weekend one for me! Shakes are killing it. the rain on weekend two is a real bummer.
Yea, rain is no fun. But Modest Mouse has been so elusive for me, same with Florenece (though I'll be seeing her at Roo too, but it looks like her show is amazing). So I'll be dealing with some rain. I'll see The Strokes this weekend at Shaky Knees & I can always get a day pass for the Shakes if I have to. Never seen them live and I'm not sure I will at Roo, so depending who is all playing that day I may do a day pass.
These headliners make it easy for me to get to the aftershows early. I'd stay for Florence. I hope she is Sunday. And I'd stay for Disclosure if they end up closing a stage.
What weekend are you planning on doing as of now?
So are you looking at weekend 2? Where are you staying? Thinking about it, the first weekend is my bday but the second looks like a better line up for me
im really considering this fest over ACL. in fact i had originally counted it out because i thought tickets were about to sell out and i cant buy a by RespectSale"> ticket just yet, but apparently it was just that pricing tier that sold out. so this is definitely still on the table. the small crowds, no music overlap, byob, camping, all that sound great.
i don't know if they still have it, but the year i went they had a disc golf course too. they probably do. it was sick. Galactic, !!!, and Brownout with Bernie Worrell headlined.
Utopiafest is still scheduled and will be featuring some good music. Man man, of montreal, RJD2, Explosions in the Sky, Wild Child, Sip Sip, tune yards

I will be going to weekend 2! But I will be living there by then so regardless which weekend you came I could def come see you! I may try and do a day pass for the day the Alabama Shakes play weekend 1 anyways.

After last year I'm buying several day passes to resell and offset my weekend pass costs. Those single day passes last year selling for 250+ Was dumb stoopid.

yeah it is but i dont know if they still have the disc golf course, it was a 9er i think. I'm sure they do. Small but amazing views of snake like hills surrounding trees and cactus and tents.

Killers and Fun. confirmed for 2016
Fun. got a lot of crap for playing all over the festival circuit, but Nate is a fantastic frontman with a Freddie Mercury wannabe approach and dynamic vocal ability. If he's projecting as a solo artist in the same way he did with Fun. I'll definitely check him out.
Brandon Flowers comes off as a bit of a douche, but I'll still check him out. Krisplettuce - wanna share your Spotify playlist with the forum?
In Bloom Festival 3/18-3/19 Houston, Texas Rock Werchter Festival 7/5-7/8 - Werchter, Belgium Mad Cool Festival 7/12-7/14 - Madrid, Spain Austin City Limits 10/5-10/7 - Austin, Texas

Will do just as soon as I can get to my computer. Can't do it from my phone for some reason.

Yea, I'm feeling über lazy, I'd like in on that too. Did you make it for just weekend 1 or both?
Bought my Weekend 2 ticket last night, pretty stoked about Chance. Top ten at first glance would be Chance the Rapper, Tame Impala, Disclosure, Father John Misty, Foo Fighters, Sturgill Simpson, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Classixx, San Fermin, Jose Gonzales

don't call it that. Nobody calls it that. Nola, New Orleans, N'Orleans are all acceptable. Only tourons call it that. Don't be a touron.
What's a touron? I plan on being in New Orleans for halloween, not sure yet if I'm doing Voodoo.
I think Tourist+Moron. If you will be in town, you should go to Voodoo. It's a dirt cheap festival value, and the headliners alone are usually worth the price of admission. Being that Halloween is a Saturday (won't get Sunday next year because of leap year), they will have something random, evil or crazy for that night. Voodoo has some decent aftershows, and Halloween goes until dawn anyway. It's a stay caffeinated weekend.

. Presales were 100, and they'll come back out for 150 probably after the lineup or initial lineup which should come out next month. I don't remember what the crossover with ACL was last year, but there were a few acts. And of course Foo Fighters closed Sunday last year at Voodoo and will be headlining ACL.
*edit* Outkast, Skrillex, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave. and Zedd were crossed last year. Foo Fighters, 21 Pilots, GRiZ, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, The London Souls, Sturgil Simpson cross to this year.
Ok, so weekend 1 3-day GA sold out already. Weekend 2 I'm sure will sell out sooner rather than later. Last year that didn't happen till July, like early July. I'm debating if I should buy my pass now or not. I technically have the money, but I really don't....
I know EAP always gets a cheap wristband really close to the fest off craigslist or whatever, but I don't like waiting that close- I'm way too much of a planner. Shoukd I wait it out or buy my ticket now. Ugghh. Decisions.
Does anyone have Weekend 2 passes they would like to sell? I know I can still buy them at the regular price, but I wanted to help someone out who had opted for W1 but already bought W2! (Since I did the opposite)

Be excited. I saw them at Shaky Knees and was blown away. They are fantastic live. They're def on my list of most anticipated for ACL. At SK I was socializing and getting drunk on free VIP booze and was passively watching/listening to them. I hope I can get close at ACL.

This all day. Blown away when I saw them a few weeks ago. Must see set.
