Foo Fighters-The Black Keys-Drake Deadmau5-Robert Plant-Florence and Machine
Foo Fighters v Florence and the Machine The Black Keys v Deadmau5 Robert Plant v Drake
since ACL usually puts one of the 4-6 on the main stage with the city back drop, had to put RP there with Drake on other side, like Beck v Outkast last year.

IF that's the lineup, you probably exactly right that Plant would be on the Samsung stage, and I would have to skip.
Just a prediction, i know as much as everyone else does. Foo's pretty much guaranteed for Friday, maybe they play Saturday, but is more logical that they have a day off in between Austin-Atlanta.
If Lolla's headliners are either Metallica-Kanye-Drake(or Jack White)-Florence-EDM-Sam Smith, then who would be the crossover? Sam Smith played last year so nope, Florence will most likely be one, Jack White will be here this weekend so doubt that, Drake or Kanye could be a possibility for the hip hop headliner, and if Metallica headlines along with Foos... That would be awesome.
Updated prediction: Metallica, Foo Fighters, Drake, Florence, EDM, Robert Plant
Foos v EDM Metallica v Florence Robert Plant v Drake

when does this lineup usually drop? its stange to me for a fest as old and big as ACL (two weekends) is there sure dont have a large online following/presence. whats the deal with that?

It's one of the later, if not latest, major festivals of the year. The line up drops late Spring if I remember.

i've been told today by an inside source who works for ACL that Metallica will be there this year. When Foo Fighters were asked about only a smile was given.

Now that we know the Lolla lineup, who are the crossovers we should expect? I definitely see Florence being one of the 6 headliners along with Foo Fighters and possibly Robert Plant? Does ACL book Macca too? I've been waiting for that one for the past 3 years!! It just makes so much sense that Paul McCartney would headline ACL, he fits the mold perfectly.

I doubt they'll share Macca or if they could even get him to commit to back-to-back weekends. I was kind of expecting Drake or Kendrick and in my dreams Radiohead's new album comes out and they finally play ACL. I like to dream big.
suspicious scheduling: Foo Fighters (Lock, No Texas dates) Robert Plant (No Texas dates) ACDC (No Texas dates) Billy Joel (Houston in November but no other Texas date and open during ACL) My Morning Jacket (No Texas dates)
Lolla/c3: Paul McCartney Metallica Florence & The Machine (also playing every other festival) The Weeknd Bassnectar
playing other US festivals: Drake Mumford & Sons The Black Keys Axwell ^ Ingrosso Kendrick Lamar The Strokes Deadmau5

This bummed me out because it makes a lot of sense. I can't see the 70 year old man doing consecutive weeks, let alone in one city.
Crazy thought - What if he was to only do one weekend? They sort of set a precedent last year with Lorde being exclusive to Weekend 2. What if the #1 headliners were different each weekend? I can see Metallica playing both, or just one if they were too costly.
