I enjoy the Shakes' Muscle Shoal sound and like the direction they took on the new album. I'll get my fix at Bonnaroo though. The first year ACL did two weekends, the second was only half full until pre-headliners came on. I think that's changed now and weekend 2 is more popular. At least it was last year, selling out sooner, but Lorde was a weekend two exclusive. So while I won't have the advantage of the smaller crowds, I'll see Flo for the first time this year and hopefully get some aftershows to get excited about. The Spoon weekend 2 late night would have busted my Spoon/Replacements conflict.

I went last year and recall weekend one selling out sooner then weekend two. But weekend two is over the OU VS UT game.
ah yeah didn't notice him before lol but still, G eazy i remember was on there because it was weird that he was billed above A$AP Rocky. There's no way he's bigger than Rocky. He's well known but not like Rocky is. People i know in fuggin Norway love A$AP.
So what are we betting on as headliner matchups at this point? I really have no idea, except I don't think Foos are closing the fest due to scheduling, so that's likely Drake's job.
Foos v. The Weeknd The Strokes/Flo v. Disclosure Drake v. Deadmau5
And who's leading into these closers? I'm incapable of even the most basic guessing, although the Foos' associations with Gary Clark, Jr. and Royal Blood make them naturals to play on their day/stage, I'd suppose... and RTJ before Drake would surprise me, since they'd knock the headliner off the stage.

The Weeknd Run the muthafuckin Jewels Modest Mouse Brand New Gary Clark Jr. Tame Impala Florence Father John Misty The Decemberists Drake, I guess- I would be more excited for this if his Coach set wasn't so terrible.
I'm sure I'll spot someone later I looked over. I started to put Kurt Vile on my list, but I can't really get excited about that. I've seen him a handful of times and always enjoy it. I'm just always super mellowed out. I hope this means some new material is on the way.
So all Yall are going weekend two I take it with all the modest mouses
no clue if im gonna actually go but if so i'd go weekend one for The Strokes. in fact they'd be pretty much my biggest draw, never seen them and always wanted to and it seems like they pretty much only do fests at this point
modest mouse wasn't really impressive at all from what i saw of them at FFF so i dont really care that much. they'd probably be better in a venue. i also like some of the smaller weekend 1 only names more. waxahatchee, in the valley below, ume, leopold and his fiction, the suffers, residual kid, and calliope musicals are all pretty cool and all weekend 1 only.
it'd be ideal if MM and Strokes were same weekend but definitely strokes>mm as far as who i want to see. Florence ill see at Roo so that doesn't matter to me much
Ume and Residual Kid rock. Saw them at Utopiafest in 2013. Utopiafest is a whole other story, another really cool festival, about 2 hours from austin.
im really considering this fest over ACL. in fact i had originally counted it out because i thought tickets were about to sell out and i cant buy a ticket just yet, but apparently it was just that pricing tier that sold out. so this is definitely still on the table. the small crowds, no music overlap, byob, camping, all that sound great.

IF I go, it will be weekend one. I have been told by work that weekend two interferes with the book closing and I am not allowed to take off during that time for a third year in a row. Plus, it seems that it always pours weekend 2. I do wish Modest Mouse was the first weekend, but whatcha gonna do about that?
So all Yall are going weekend two I take it with all the modest mouses
no clue yet either, hoping modest mouse will do an aftershow, may go 1 day each weekend
I plan on doing weekend 2, but i may get a day pass for whatever day alabama shakes play weekend 1 if i can find a cheap wristband.
Also, this Utopia Fest sounds cool. I'll have to look into it... if its after i move there and i have the money maybe i'll do it.. hmmmm. Me moving to Austin is like a crack head moving into a crack house.

i don't know if they still have it, but the year i went they had a disc golf course too. they probably do. it was sick. Galactic, !!!, and Brownout with Bernie Worrell headlined.
