Late Shows have been announced. Anyone familiar with mau5trap? Deadmau5 is doing this at Emo's on Saturday night during weekend 2.
A few I'm interested in are Billy Idol and Ryn Weaver at Stubbs, TV on the Radio at Emo's, Leon Bridges at Parish, A$AP Rocky/Danny Brown/Vince Staples at Austin Music Hall, Danzig/Superjoint/Veil of Maya/Prong/Witch Mountain at Stubb's, and Chance The Rapper.
Mau5trap is his record label so maybe it'll be him and some of their artists.

OK. Yeah, I had skimmed over it quickly and thought I had read deadmau5 presents mau5trap and he would be doing a trap set.

The late night shows are great, especially weekend one for me. It almost makes me want to go to Austin and not ACL, just for the late nights.

That asap DANNY brown show clears out a conflict for me and I didn't plan to watch much of the strokes or any of the weeknd. I'm more excited for DANNY brown then asap tbh.
the mau5 at EMOS EAST will be crazy. For anyone who's never been to that venue, it's kind of small for a dj of that level.
Dude, not sure what they we're thinking booking him there. It's decent small to mid-size venue but even Austin Music Hall would be slightly small for deadmau5.
I can see the line traveling all the way up Burton Street into the neighborhoods south of Emo's. With Cherub and Chance also booked to play, I'm really not sure which is show to be at that night.
So how quickly does Walk the Moon sellout? I'm opting for TVOTR instead.
So the mau5 after show will be borderline impossible then?
As long as you buy a ticket, youll be in. I just imagine it'll be a clusterfuck. It was when Mowglis and Grouplove played there and that was Mowglis and Grouplove.

TVOTR is the correct pick out of these two. I have seen both multiple times, and both on their current tours and that is the only way to go.

Gotcha. Thanks. It's going to be my entire group's first time in Austin so not sure what to expect.

Last year we had tickets for Skrillex after show and all the roads were closed down after the festival making it impossible to get there in time. We just said fuck it and went to sixth.

True that, it's close but i'm leaning towards Chance that night since i've never seen him but i feel like there's going to be a ton of kids there, whereas mau5 is 18+.. I guess it'll depend on the price. TVOTR will be a great show and will probably only be like $30.
Sunday: sylvan esso > the suffers > chance the rapper > alt-j > dwight yoakam > the strokes > griz LN!
Saturday #2: father john misty > misterwives > twenty one pilots > g-eazy > modest mouse > bassnectar > drake
the only time i'm not totally sure on is the 4:30-5:30 on sunday still kicking atround the idea of seeing Decemberists but will see how the crowds are.
