This is a solid lineup. Lots of stuff that's everywhere of course. I'll be interested in going to catch some acts not at this year's Roo like Disclosure, TV On The Radio, Father John, Tame Impala, Ben Howard, Chance the Rapper, and Waxahatchee
I don't think this is the actual final lineup. I mean, ACL pretty much told us that Mumford and Sons, Björk and Ryan Adams are coming this year, and they aren't in the 'leak'. Also I find impossible the lack of AC/DC or Metallica, without one of them it's a pretty weak lineup compared to past years. I think we're going to have a few surprises tomorrow. It's almost impossible that a festival as big as ACL has a 'leak' on their own web page...
If I was in the area I'd def go to this but coming from Chicago and already traveling to Life is Beautiful and Hangout, no way I could swing this. It would have had to be an insane lineup.
Honestly, just cause it came from the site, I didn't even question for a second the legitimacy. But now that I really think about the billing it just seems sorta off. I understand why Gary Clark is billed so high being a hometown hero, but Sturgill in the fourth line with that lineup is very out of place. Also lower acts like Jose Gonzalez and Brandon Flowers(mainly due to his billing at other fests) seem too low. And one of the biggest throwoffs for me is the fact that second line is a 1, 2, 3 punch of EDM headliners. Judging from past lineups, ACL has a pretty solid billing poster, but why would they put EDM x 3 together on the second line. I know ACL has become extremely mainstream but not spacing them out, where Deadmau5 should easily go ahead of The Weeknd, and maybe even put Alt J in between Disclosure and Bassnectar (I know Lolla has it the other way around), just makes this seem like a draft.
Expecting any major changes from what we've seen is pretty unreasonable. Some shifts in billing order might happen and I guess some additions are possible but that's definitely the lineup. ACL wouldn't let all of these outlets report that this is the lineup if it isn't.

It builds hype and gets people talking whether it's real or fake. It was on their site so it's probably real but then them confirming it's real takes the thunder from their announcement tomorrow AM. Tons of people haven't seen it yet who are waiting for tomorrow. My guess is they did this on purpose but left a couple big headliners out - Mumford or AC/DC so there is still a surprise tomorrow.
I'm thinking there's at least 1 more headliner. A throwback like ACDC or Metallica. Also don't think Disclosure will actually headline above Deadmau5 and Bassnectar. ACL always has weird billing like that. But it's basically just Coachella 2015/FFF 2014 combined with some extras like The Strokes, Billy Idol and Foo Fighters.
The lack of comment is basically a confirmation that it's real. Having a fake posted on popular music sites is detrimental to the fest and the site. It would be stopped.
There are other acts that I'm not so familiar with that I'm want to listen to and maybe check out too, Like Catfish & the Bottlemen, Griz and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors and a couple others. Overall I'm happy. Nothing mind blowing, but enough to make be buy a ticket no questions asked.
Just curious where are you seeing Catfish & The Bottlemen? Would be nice, but I can't seem to find mention of them anywhere other than your post.
I just went back and looked and I may have made that up. I was super tired when I was posting last night... I could've sworn they were on that typed out list tho. I just quoted that and took off the quote part and deleted names as I made my list... Oh well.

With the unofficial, official leak I totally forgot about it being released for realsies at 6.... Which I just realized is actually an hour and a half away not just 30mins. Stupid central time zone.

These headliners make it easy for me to get to the aftershows early. I'd stay for Florence. I hope she is Sunday. And I'd stay for Disclosure if they end up closing a stage.

Also I remember last year there was a link to the website after the lineup came out that had Julian Casablancas one weekend and Albert Hammond Jr the other weekend. I bet they were booked but cancelled last minute before the lineup was released and probably made a deal to play as The Strokes this year instead. I know AHJ is on the lineup this year too.
Weekend one for me! Shakes are killing it. the rain on weekend two is a real bummer.
Yea, rain is no fun. But Modest Mouse has been so elusive for me, same with Florenece (though I'll be seeing her at Roo too, but it looks like her show is amazing). So I'll be dealing with some rain. I'll see The Strokes this weekend at Shaky Knees & I can always get a day pass for the Shakes if I have to. Never seen them live and I'm not sure I will at Roo, so depending who is all playing that day I may do a day pass.
