Or it creates a possibility of MMJ following Mumford and the superjam the other night.
Or the superjam is something completely different
I feel like Bassnectar and Deadmau5 are likely going to be on different nights. If Bassnectar is a Which Stage show, which I assume it is, and MMJ to be a late night show, which I assume it is, then MMJ will have to be on the same night as Deadmau5 (Friday night from what we know).
Couldn't they do Bassnectar and Deadmau5 on different nights but just have it be Bassnectar -> MMJ on Which late night? It may not be ending with EDM like the past couple of years but I feel like it's doable.

Call me old fashioned but I think Which Stage Late Night should not be shared. It should be a marathon for one artist or band.

No, you're old fashioned, haha. If the set starts late. I think it should be for one act, but if the first act starts by midnight, I think it's good to have two acts.

They never start on time and the change inbetween sets would add onto it. Which stage should be for a monster set. I want 3+ hours from whoever gets that stage.

When was the last year they had just one act play Which for late night?

I can get that. I guess it just depends on who is on the bill. MMJ and Bassnectar are the only acts that can play which LN and do that realistically (since Deadmau5 is on the What LN this year)
How important is Elvis Costello to the New Basement Tapes? He's booked for the Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday of Roo across the pond. I guess he could technically fly in for Friday night, but that doesn't really look likely. Not to mention, I would bet MMJ plays Friday late night Which Stage (if Kendrick -> Deadmau5 are the Friday What Stage headliners).
Not very important. He sings lead on 4 of the 20 songs on the album. And assuming they'd do some other Dylan/non-Dylan material, you wouldn't lose much. I just want to think that the other 4 wouldn't all be there without doing something together. My only worry would be Marcus having to do the M&S set and then NBT in one night.
I'd actually prefer t-bone burnett in a superjam over elvis anyway. Hell, let him coordinate the superjam. Everything he touches turns to gold, including this album. Plus, he was with Robert Plant at his first Bonnaroo, so ya never know. Fingers crossed
Gary Clark Jr. & John Mayer doing a blues SuperJam.
I know we just had a Derek Trucks one and John Mayer won't be there and Jim James would be better and this is a run on sentence, but I want Mayer on the farm goddamnit!

Add an appearance by Benjamin Booker and I'm there!
I think my excitement for an NBT SJ would depend on who all they announce for it ahead of time. I fully admit I haven't gotten the chance to listen to the album in full yet, but if they bill it specifically as an NBT set, I feel like it'd take away some of the surprise factor (though they'd undoubtedly have crazy guests). I should really just not even post this because I should know by now that the set is going to be full of surprises, but part of the allure of SJs is not knowing what they're gonna play.

Yes, IF they do a NBT SJ, I hope they bring in the cast from NBT but they open the range to play any of Bob Dylan's songs (including a couple off the NBT album.) And the guests will undoubtedly be awesome (Johnny Depp!!!)

I was thinking they might do a Dylan set as well. If they brought out Gary Clark Jr. to do "All Along the Watchtower", I might die of happiness.

I think this comment has been severely overlooked. ? x ! Question mark times exclamation mark. If you rearrange the letters in "question mark" you get "an toque smirk". Mac DeMarco is Canadian and Canadians wear TOQUEs often. Mac also has AN interesting SMIRK. You can rearrange "times" to get "emits". "Exclamation mark" can be rearranged to get "rocket man a la mix". I don't even have to speculate about what that means. So therefore: An toque smirk emits rocket man a la mix. Mac DeMarco remixing Elton John tunes. Superjam clue solved. Next!

With at least 3 stars from new basement tapes on the lineup, we are getting at least a little of NBT for superjam. The album is really good so I have no complaints on this front!

The only one missing is Elvis Costello. You have Jim James(MMJ), Marcus Mumford(Mumford and Sons), Taylor Goldsmith(Dawes) and Rhiannon Giddens(solo) all there. So they would need to find somebody to fill in for Costello and have prob a rotating group of artists to help out with whatever else they want to add into the show.
