Just popped in heavily influenced by that sauce to opine that I am happy that I don't see a slimy mega-corp gloss on Bonnaroo notwithstanding the Live Nation deal. This is especially true given the diverse and impressive musicians tapped for the Superjam. Oteil? Trujillo (chops already legitimized supra)? Karl Denson? Chance the Rapper?...ok whoops. It'll be a great Superjam.

The point is, they are friends, and very easily could play together sometime in the night now. It's personally not a big deal either way, but I feel it's most likely happening.
when you all want to start listening to me and stop thinking i dont k ow what im talking about, you'll win at life more. Basslights is happening just like i said and i also said the main stage will start later.... So.. prince still may show up. HA
I can assure you with confirmed information that Bassnectar and Pretty Lights are NOT playing the Kalliope together. Also, I can assure you with common sense that Prince will NOT be at Bonnaroo. 1 out of 3 is failing...but you forgot to add in all the other batshit crazy things you've said that had no chance of happening. Bye bye.
So, pretty sure chance the rapper and the social experiment won't be playing any kind of secret show. Talked to a friend that playes guitar for him and is on a lot of the songs on surf isn't going to be at the farm this year...

Where should we post when we find out about secret sets?

Chance the Rapper just said in his snap story that he is curating the Superjam! Look for some collaborators from the record and friends to join him and him and his band to feature heavily. He is also camping with the Social Experiment in the Campgrounds!! Follow him on snapchat: mynamechance

A mod can feel free to let me know if this needs to go in spoilers. At the sound check today at the hotel I heard Psycho Killer, an Eye of the Tiger/Need You Tonight mashup, and Man in the Mirror. Should be a good show.
Wow tonight's Superjam was fucking incredible. Chali2na was a pleasant surprise and was the perfect MC. The multiple Radiohead covers Pretty Lights did between songs gave me chills. Zach Galifinakis (sp?) and John Ham (sp?) was pretty shocking. Jamie Lidell, DMC, Chance The Rapper, and Jason from Cherub were clear highlights. Enter Sandman and Walk This Way was epic.

I saw where holls posted that Jon Hamm was throwing gummy bears at Belle & Sebastian. He just became my new hero.

This was my favorite set of the weekend. Bonnaroo superjams are so great.
We need a full list of who played in this and the songs they did. Here is who I can remember that was a part of it right now: Zach Galifianakis , Jon Hamm, Chali2na , Pretty Lights, Jamie Lidell, DMC, Chance the Rapper, Cherub, SZA, Karl Denson, Brownout, Rob Trujillo, Jack Antonoff, Reggie Watts, Eric Krasno, Oteil Burbridge, John Medeski, Robert ‘Sput’ Searight, and Rhiannon Giddens.
Did anyone else think the Superjam was, dare I say, not so super? Horrible jobs by some of the guest vocalists. Bleachers dude gave a poor attempt at dancing in the dark while the fella from cherub struggled with crazy train and practically murdered enter sandman. Pretty Lights served little purpose as the curator and I felt he was extremely expendable. Some cool guests and nice moments but just a lackluster show. You had one of the best drummers on the planet on stage and he was so under utilized.

Such an unbelievable set. Me and the two in my group ending up getting rail right in front of the fucking drums. Favorite set and night for sure but just another amazing weekend.

I enjoyed the Superjam. My only complaint was they didn't turn on the screens outside. Since they were primarily using graphics from the onstage screen to introduce performers and were cutting in cheesy 80s vidoes throughout, people outside the tent (the ones who could hear over Bassnectar sound bleed) missed on a really fun part of the show. I started outside and worked my way in and it was a completely different Superjam depending where you were.
And between the popularity of it at Superjam and people singing it on Sunday, can Roo just go ahead and book Biz Markie already?

Yeah I thought it was only okay. Rhiannon Giddens in particular flubbed some parts of her songs. But I guess I understand with the limited time they all have to rehearse. It seemed like Pretty Lights didn't do much at all to be honest.
Superjams are hit & miss with me. There are definitely brilliant moments, but you have to get through some rougher patches.
