adam granduciel did play a couple songs with MMJ at OBH.
a New basement tapes SJ would be pretty unique, as I don't see (almost) all of them being in the same place too often, unless they opened up their repertoire it would be a pretty boring.

Thanks ITM, that lineup is underwhelming to me, especially if they only play NBT stuff. I'd be really bummed if roo made this the Superjam, whether or not I attended it, because it wouldn't even be the first time it has happened. The show they did in LA had EVERYONE from the project with a bunch of guests as well. Hoping they're off by a mile.

This would be a cool thing to happen at the What between MMJ and Mumford. They already have from 7pm to 11:30pm to pull something like this off, no need to take up an entire LN tent too.

I highly doubt it's New Basement Tapes. The NBT stuff on the farm will just be one or two songs during the Mumford show. I have a feeling that's all we will get.

Yea, that's just Jay and we already know that this "rumor" came from Reddit. Either way, it's the same rumor we've been saying since the lineup came out.

Last I heard back in Feb, they were trying to make New Basement Tapes happen. It wasn't a sure thing though; but it is what they were shooting for. We'll see.

The 2013 edition of Bonnaroo is just seven days away, but organizers still have a few tricks up their sleeve. The lineup already includes two superjams, one led by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James and another with Ed Helms’ Bluegrass Situation.
Now, the festival has announced plans for its first-ever hip-hop superjam (!), featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Earl Sweatshirt, Solange, ScHoolboy Q, Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, and other special guests. What’s more, they’ll be backed by a live band in the form of Lettuce.
The hip-hop superjam will take place Friday at Midnight in That Tent. Amend your schedules accordingly
In addition to those names Method Man and Redman showed up and did a medley of their songs. I want to say GZA too but I can't remember. Earl Sweatshirt had to cancel.

I think at this point I'm going to be disappointed with anything that's not a FlyLo and Thundercat Superjam. I guess it's time to start listening to Tycho.

He's got one source for Governors Ball. He's not insider or anything. He did have some solid info this year, though, for a few fests
But yea, they even said they want to get something with NBT in the Reddit AMA. I think it's possible that happens on the main stage if it's not set up as the Superjam. Jim and Rhiannon come out with Mumford or they have MMJ go long and the added time is a few songs / Mumford coming out. We'll see.
