I don't think I have ever seen a band so seriously and sincerly apologize for coming back.
I have a question. For those fortunate enough to go to the last MSG shows, do you feel cheated by their return? No judgement. Just curious.
I didn't go, but I feel like you have to know that a reunion would be probable at some point. Scalpers suck, but I think the band did what they could to make up for the scalpers.

Not even remotely. I think a part of me always suspected they would come back some day.
That the MSG show was such an amazing, unforgettable experience for me. Them coming back together 5 years later doesn't cheapen anything - if anything, it makes me look back on that day even fonder!

Nah, not at all. I know some people who are pissed about it, but I don't think the reunion takes away from how awesome that last show was. They're never gonna do another 25+ song set, do all of 45:33, bring out Arcade Fire, have Liquid Liquid open, etc. It was worth it just for such a banging Harry Nilsson cover. It was an incredible show, I'm really glad I went to it, and I'll hopefully see them at least once this year.
Friday 2ManyDJ's, Black Coffee, Bob Moses, Joe Badass, LCD, M83, Purity Ring, Sasha, Sufjan, Underworld, Christine & The Queens, Mavis Staples
Saturday Bat for Lashes, CHVRCHES, Courtney Barnett, Go Go Penguin, Grimes, GNR, Ice Cube, Lush, Mathew Dear, Rhye, RL Grime, RTJ, Shamir, Silversun Pickups
Sunday Adam Beyer, Cassy, Flume, John Digweed, Joywave, Kamasi Washington, Major Lazer, Matt & Kim, Mike Snow, Rancid, Sia.
The big questions will be conflicts, and how much of this happens in the post 2pm timeslots, 'cause I cant do all day anymore and I dont think I've ever gotten to the polo grounds before 2 any of the years we've gone.
OK maybe all three conflicting is a stretch. But I'm pretty sure you'll see Underworld closing the Mojave Friday night. There's no way they'll playing during the day. I do agree on Sujan being over at the Outdoor before LCD.
Honest question: when is the last time an act on the second line played the Mojave?

officially going to this with my dad. He got so excited when he saw LCD on the bill that he used almost all his SouthWest points so now air fare is $11.20 each. just purchased a weekend 2 hotel package. It was a good day.

I'm still working things out with my group, but if you guys need car camping passes for weekend 2 I'll likely have extras. Hit me up tomorrow if you strike out at the on sale.

In fact, I hold anticipation that maybe, in some way, they can be even better than they were that night.
I agree, but still don't think they'll ever top MSG. That show was the greatest night of my life.
So have like 6 devices trying for tickets right at 11? got it
If you really want to go, make sure you're trying for Weekend 2. They're not lying when they say there are barely any W1 tickets left.
That was my goal anyway, if I really were to strike out do you think it would be worth it to just buy a camping pass and then bank on craigslist helping me out as it gets closer for an actual pass?

You should be alright. Camping passes will sell out before tickets do anyway.

Interesting, thanks y'all for the advice! Keep me in your thoughts tomorrow
Sure. For next year. You're already fucked for this year.

Some [dumb] people seem unimpressed with the lineup this year and want to sell their tickets; you can always buy resale if you are unable to snag one tomorrow.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Don't listen to her, she's fucking with you.
Reaction is roughly the same as last year, and ticket prices stayed pretty strong in the secondary market. You can probably get lucky with an extra from a boardie though if you strike out. If you're doing weekend 2, it will only be kinda crazy, instead of insane.

In years past they wouldn't let you buy a camping pass without a wristband (unless you called customer service and already had an existing wristband order).
Also, whatever you do, don't bail out when you see it's "sold out" on other screens/websites/coachella's FB, we had many in our party get tickets after seeing that last year. I think it scares everyone off and they get out of line, or some carts time out. Just stick with it, it could literally take you hours to complete your purchase. Go by whatever it says on your waiting room/ticket buying screen, just wait it out.
Okay one more question since I've always wondered about this buying concert tickets in general and it seems like it'll actually matter tomorrow... When you're in the "waiting room" or whatever waiting to get through, should I be refreshing or just wait for it to let me through?
