Haven't been able to read through the entire thread (read through most though).
What do we think of the chances of Tame Impala and/or Future Islands being added? I'm a first time roo'er (always wanted to come) and these two would just totally make it for me! What do you guys think?

You are actually the first person to mention those two artists

It's funny that you two are both characters from mockumentary NBC sitcoms
I mean, obviously I'm not. But I was more asking what the consensus might think the realistic chance of them getting added is.
I think that because they don't have conflicting dates, the likelihood is just about as good as any other non-headlining acts. We have no idea if there will be artist additions, when they will happen, and what type of artist they will consist of so everything is just speculation
I'm pretty positive that Your Old Droog would be really well-received at 'Roo. He's gotta sweet flow that folks would really dig getting down with and is a totally different vibe than most of the rap we have so far.
Hey guys, quick question. Does the Roo Radio only play bands from the lineup or include other artists?
The reason I ask is because looking at the programming for February I see the following artists (not in lineup): Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Sleater Kinney. All of them are on the Sunday Funday program.
So do you think these might be additions? or because it's Sunday Funday they'll play anything.
not sure this means much for us. figured i'd throw it here, quite the addition list at Buku
Lil B would make up for this lineup. Now my hope is up
giving me some more hope for rl grime since he's playing as clockwork there now too. not sure if that's a real solid assumption at all, but i'll take it

I kind of had the same question. I saw Bonnaroo tweeted out something about checking out recent release by Modest Mouse and I asked if that was an addition hint, but not surprisingly did not get a response.

Historically, there isn't much rhyme or reason to Roo Radio. You'll hear current lineup artists, past lineup artists, artists sort of kind of related to Roo artists, artists that your average Roo attendee will likely enjoy, and so on. Like I said, hard to draw direct lines, but nobody's out there saying there AREN'T hints being dropped...

You realize this is last years lineup/additions. RL Grimes is playing this year too, but that article is old.

Not sure if it's been brought up already (if so I apologize), but the Decemberists have a big gap in their schedule: 6/6 at Gov Ball and then nothing until 7/10 in Oregon. They also are touring with 3 other bands on the Roo lineup - Spoon, Courtney Barnett, and The Districts.

They're playing one-off shows with them, not really touring but I understand your point. And I agree. I'd put them in the category of "most likely bigger additions"
this was posted in a diff thread to somewhere. got me to go there. and one of the comments was along the lines of "did anybody check inforoo?" i responded and told em to keep away from our scoops
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I'm inclined to believe ticket sales are down. Not because of the reddit post, but due to the fact that even Bonnaroo seemed to playing damage control before the lineup ever came out by allowing presale tickets to be purchased for a month. That, coupled with overall negativity in regards to the lineup on here and around Nashville.
The anonymous reddit post doesn't do anything to dissuade me though.
Merchandise (woo Tampa!) and Ex Hex at Sasquatch, both would be perfect Thursday bands.
I've been holding out hope that roo will bring Merchandise this year. Have you/are you going to see them with Parquet Courts? I just saw them this past weekend in Tampa and it was great
