Do people really think we are getting additions other than cafe acts and comedy? I will be very surprised if we do, that has not been the trend for quite awhile now, and we have enough bands to more or less fill all the slots at this point.
They added Solange and Empire of the Sun in 2013. Solange played Which Stage and EotS played LN tent.
I wouldn't expect Modest Mouse or anyone too big, but some medium sized additions are very possible.
Now I want Twin Peaks. In they Ty Segall spot, please.
I think King Gizzard is great for that slot
king Gizzard nor twin peaks have reached the popularity Ty had going into too last year, couldn't see either closing a tent on Thursday, but who knows.
That said, I'd prefer Iceage in that slot, but they're in the same boat as the other two

I mean judging by their social media blitz recently, that new Offspring album is coming really soon. They haven't said a word on tour dates but Roo would be awesome. I won't be overly mad if they aren't there because I feel like they will definitely have a lengthy US run in big cities anyways so I'll get my chance to see them but they should definitely fall in the category of artist addition that is certainly in the realm of possibility.

I still find it strange that Future Islands weren't on the lineup. They are playing Governor's Ball, are free the weekend of Roo, and then the week after Roo will be in Spain. I hope they add them!
Also, Sujan Stevens is not playing TN on his tour, his closest show is in NC around May, but would that rule him out? It would be amazing if he got added too.
Death Cab for Cutie is also free, and has barely any south dates planned.
Two out of these three would be awesome additions, all three would be perfect for me.

You are crazy! DCFC is in Norway for all four days of Bonnaroo.

I mean, I fucking love all three. But shhhhhh, put it back in the bag, because these hopes are too high. DCFC isn't available, Sufjan basically never does festivals (but I already scored presale tix for one of his shows, thank god), and while FI actually should be feasible, and I too expected them on there, I have this feeling that they would've been on the initial lineup drop if they're gonna be there.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
This years lineup needs more hip hop/rap. That genre is kind of week this year compared to the last couple years. Book logic and I will be satisfied
Aside from G-Eazy, I quite like the hip hop this year. After every other festival missed out on Shabazz Palaces and Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, I did not expect them to pop up on the Roo lineup. Roo is also the only fest to get Kendrick Lamar thus far.
Maybe someone who is more experienced in speculation could chime in here- do you think Walk the Moon would be a realistic late add?
They're playing in Memphis at the end of April, and their tour dates end in May, possibly leaving them available for Roo. They're not playing any other fests so far, plus they just released a new album. I'd live to have them added to the lineup.

Besides Freddie Gibbs & Madlib and Run The Jewels I'm not liking it. Kendrick was at bonnaroo the first year I attended, I didn't see him then and I will not see him this year

Atmosphere as well, but otherwise you're right. I feel at least 2 names will be added that will be good. I'm hoping for Jarren Benton of people that are possible, but I'd love some Aussie Hip Hop like Hilltop Hoods or Bliss N Eso. Hilltop Hoods has played Lollapalooza, so they occasionally do American fests I guess.

Yes jarren benton would be so sick to get added to the linup along with flatbush zombies

I thought there was a pretty good selection of hip hop this year. At first I wasn't thrilled but the more I think about it, the more I think they did an awesome job with their selections. Shabazz Palaces, Freddie Gibbs and MADLIB, Run The Jewels are all gonna be pretty crazy shows.
EDIT: Only thing that could make me happier about it is Flatbush Zombies or Clockwork Indigo as an addition.

I'm seeing Hail Mary Mallon in March. Aesops other group "The Uncluded" would be perfect for Roo

I think the hip-hop is better than what's popped up on most list. Not a lot of great hip-hop albums in 2014, and festivals like Hangout, Governor's Ball and even Coachella didn't have much good hip-hop.
