Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I just want to take a moment to thank Bonnaroo. Despite the top 15 having several questionable names, Sam Smith is nowhere to be seen. Thanks Bonnaroo!
Or it could be because we had him last year.
Just shows at how good AC is at picking up and coming bands. I wonder who they picked this year for the lineup that will win a bunch of grammy's next year.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
After seeing the Way Home lineup, i hope we get Kaytranada.
This would be a massive addition to the electronic part of the lineup. I was surprised to see him billed so high, but I guess he's got home-field advantage in Canada.

I'd say Kendrick is probably a shoe in after he won with "i". The Grammy's still feel stupid for giving the award to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
Flume, Sylvan Esso, Glass Animals, SZA, Courtney Barnett and Sturgill Simpson (just barely missed it on an album that took him like 10 days and $4,500) all have potential for possible award winning breakout years.

Amnesia Rock Fest acts I'd love to see added -System of a Down(too big to be added, but I'd still want it) -Deftones performing around the fur -Rancid performing and out come the wolves -Offspring performing Americana -Goldfinger

I love Sam Smith, missed him last year because I didn't know who he was yet. Don't get the hate for him on here. Sometimes it seems like anything popular is hated on by the Infooroosters. To each their own.
Didn't Adele also play in like a cafe stage before she got big? Bonnaroo is def awesome at booking up and coming acts.

In other news, System of a Down late night would be the shit, and I don't even think they're too big of an add at all. Chance of it happening are close to 0% though.
I don't understand how anyone can hate Sam Smith that passionately.
I don't think many of us hate him or his music that much. But the fact that he is snagging HL-ing spots at festivals where he is being billed over artists who have worked on churning quality material out for a decade or more (e.g. Beck being pushed down the Hangout lineup for him)? Ridiculous. Also, how are his sets possibly going to run longer than whatever the length of his ONE album is? Lots of covers, maybe some jokes sprinkled throughout to waste the minutes away?

Or just a monologue with his tween sounding british accent that the girls seem to soak their pants over.
Full Disclosure: I think he's amazing, but I don't understand how you watch his performance/listen to him in general and not want to fall asleep/cry/cry yourself to sleep.
ITT: People claim Bonnaroo is great at booking up and coming acts.
Does Adele count like that one person said? I don't know if that is considered booking her before she blew up because I don't know much about her.
Roo, isn't widely known for that but they do have some acts they've promoted a bunch before blowing up. Kings of Leon, Avett Brothers, and Zac Brown Band are the standouts. I guess you could count My Morning Jacket, too, but they're not nearly as big as the others.
I do always feel like the Bonnaroo Thursday acts are littered with bands on the verge of blowing up but that's kind of the point. I'm sure some of these artists played Coachella or some other festival prior to Roo but just in 2008 and 2009 I discovered: MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Felice Brothers, Portugal. The Man, Passion Pit, Delta Spirit.

Well, that's not very relevant considering the fact that he is openly gay.... In fact he thanked the last guy he dated that dumped him for the awards because the he wrote the album that won all the awards because of that guy breaking his heart

Alt-J Thursday 2013 is another one that sticks out. I don't know if they have necessarily "blown up" but they have gotten pretty damn popular.
