Could be reading way too much into it, but Bonnaroo recently tweeted out a picture of soup that spelled out BONNAROO with the tweet text saying "All souped up for the coming week!". Possibly a hint of news this week.

Deadmau5 is at the peak of his 15 min of fame, in a 15 min of fame genre. Jack White is a modern day Neil Young. We'll see who's who in about 10 years, even though Jack White's about 15 years in already.
You're not correct.
Im not a fan of that rat....but to say that he's not a big deal in a genre that's been going strong for decades is just a false statement.
You should try harder.
Uh ya Karen, thanks for this input. I actually said he was the peak. If you think his genre has been around and going strong for decades, you're a mess. I don't have to try harder. Kids aren't going to be learning his licks on their laptops in 10 or 20 years, they won't be talking about his amazing performance at Bonnaroo. If anyone said 10 years ago that Jack would end the Stripes and come back 'solo' and play one of the best shows in Bonnaroo history, no one would have believed it. He did. Ultimately its all speculation and ones interpretation of another artist.

I'm 30....and house music is something that's been around for at least that long. Therefore...decades is a correct statement.
And somewhere around that 10-20 years ago Deadmau5 was a kid going to parties looking up to and studying the talent that he loved.
It's the same thing. Using a guitar as an instrument doesn't make you anymore important to music than someone who produces electronic music.
So yes...in another 10-20 years kids are going to be producing house music. Just the same as they're going to be sitting in their parents basement fingering a guitar for the first time.
If anyone said 10 years ago that Jack would end the Stripes and come back 'solo' and play one of the best shows in Bonnaroo history, no one would have believed it. He did.
Uhhh, really? I sure would have. From Day 1 it was pretty widely accepted that Jack was the real talent, and Meg just provided the oft-wobbly 4/4 backbone. Spin once said she played like an over-zealous 5th grader - harsh, but not entirely inaccurate. It worked because the Stripes were based around punk, folk and blues, none of which prioritise technical skill. 10 years ago, Get Behind Me Satan era, it was already apparent he was outgrowing what she could bring to the table; even 8 years ago, the Stripes were already the top-billed non-headliner.
Now, Jack & Meg had a great chemistry together, a chemistry that hasn't quite been duplicated with his other projects IMO - but that only goes so far.

I would have believed it. I had been waiting for years to get a Jack White solo album/tour. I'm upset about losing the White Stripes but happy to see where Jack goes in his solo career because I've loved his output so far.
I'll be honest, DM and Billy Joel are the ones I feel are strong enough to be there. I'm a huge fan of Mumford, but don't believe they should be a headliner. Kendrick??? I'm not really sure how this happened.
#4 from above has really got me thinking...
From the chat with the owners:
"We're done announcing headliners for 2015"
If this is taken literally, then it only states that those two are done announcing headliners. By the nature of the Hit and Run Tour, it could very well be Prince that announces a spot at Bonnaroo. This leaves the above statement still true. They wouldn't have been allowed to announce Prince if Bonnaroo was included in the tour.
"A: dude, I'm with you…he's one of my personal favorite artists of all time. All good things take time…"
Since I'm playing devil's advocate here. "All good things take time…" Loose unclosed statement that doesn't have to mean a long duration of time. I think the Bonnaroo folks would love to have something that is a complete surprise. Normally I would say that there is no way they would book someone this big, and keep it quiet, due to impact on ticket sales. However, this is the name of the game with Prince's tour.
It will be interesting to see the official lineup time schedule and if there is an absurdly long headliner set scheduled

This is such utter bullshit. His genre absolutely has been going strong for decades. Chic and other 70s disco icons inspired guys like Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder (a kid learning disco licks on his synthesizer), who then paved the way for 80s luminaries like Frankie Knuckles and Chicago House, New Order and the Madchester scene, all of which inspired big 90s acts like Chemical Brothers, Portishead, and Prodigy, or crossover stars like Bjork, Madonna, and Radiohead (who actually did perform one of the best sets in Bonnaroo history). If you turn on the radio today, when you're not just hearing pure EDM, you're hearing its very clear influence in pop music (Beyonce, Rihanna) and all the dance pop made by mainstream acts like Chromeo or Capital Cities or whatever.

Future Islands, Tame Impala, Tv on the Radio, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Todd Terje please. I'll take all of em! I want a MASSIVE artist addition announcement. None of that cafe bull.

I just saw St. Vincent, and TV on the Radio is one of my favorites and I was hoping that they would be playing. She would be cool, but not as much as TVotR...So take your face palm to somewhere else.
