I just saw St. Vincent, and TV on the Radio is one of my favorites and I was hoping that they would be playing. She would be cool, but not as much as TVotR...So take your face palm to somewhere else.
With Shaky Knees's promoting having Tame Impala's only southeast festival date, I doubt it, which really sucks and I'm quite surprised it ended up that way because I thought they were a lock for Roo, I could see Modest Mouse maybe being an addition, the whole Prince thing is kickass and would be amazing and it actually has a bit of a chance but the fact that it is Prince makes me say no way in hell, because we all know how he is. Honestly though, the only thing that would be cooler than Prince headlining Bonnaroo would be Prince announcing a surprise tour date to headline Bonnaroo. (It also would prevent anything from happening like what went down with him and glastonbury)

I am working on this stupid new system, I can't take NO jokes right now... well maybe some jokes or maybe not. Idk, I am so heads and tails right now.
This is such utter bullshit. His genre absolutely has been going strong for decades. Chic and other 70s disco icons inspired guys like Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder (a kid learning disco licks on his synthesizer), who then paved the way for 80s luminaries like Frankie Knuckles and Chicago House, New Order and the Madchester scene, all of which inspired big 90s acts like Chemical Brothers, Portishead, and Prodigy, or crossover stars like Bjork, Madonna, and Radiohead (who actually did perform one of the best sets in Bonnaroo history). If you turn on the radio today, when you're not just hearing pure EDM, you're hearing its very clear influence in pop music (Beyonce, Rihanna) and all the dance pop made by mainstream acts like Chromeo or Capital Cities or whatever.
Get it together, Nuggydust.
influences and genres aren't the same thing. If that was the case, there would be one genre and it would be called music. But I get you're point, edm has been around for a long time. Long live The Horn.
Can someone please make up a rumor and include links to vague statements for proof. I'm getting pretty bored and need something to get me through the rest of the day.
Love that there is actually a conversation about Prince secretly headlining. The dumpster fire will never die.
I don't believe it's outside the realm of possible, but I do believe it is unlikely. I'd like to see more beef up top in the lineup, but I'm quite pleased with the undercard. I haven't been since 2011, and I like the direction the festival is going with the "overall experience". I think this is going to be a good year.

It's completely outside the realm of possible.
Seriously... First of all, you going to bump a headliner for prince? Its not going to be Mumford since this is a makeup show for them, and its not going to be billy Joel. So Kendrick opening for him on Friday? Plus the guy gets over 2mill an appearance. Ticket prices weren't raised by THAT much

I'm a huge mumford fan. I watched them play at Bonnaroo. I still don't think they should have received a default headlining spot. It will be a great show, and am looking forward to it. There's a big difference between impossible and improbable. I agree with you that it is unlikely.

Thoughts on their new track?
Not a fan, I'm gonna listen to it a few more times today probably and let it marinate a day or two and then give it another shot before I make my final verdict though

That was gonna be my plan, wanted to give it a fair shot. But after two listens, I just really really wanted to turn it off and preferably not ever hear it again...

I said before in 2012 they added 6 pretty decent sized names in March and then in April some more acts with the comedy and cafe acts. So, if this stays the same I'd think we get some decent names. I feel Lana Del Ray will be added. I also still feel Tame Impala will be added. The Shakey Knees Fest saying their the only southeast fest to have Tame Impala is true, as of now. Just like when Bonnaroo got Mumford, everyone was saying this will be their first show in 3 years. Well now they are playing a fest the weekend before Bonnaroo, so I'm not too worried about Shakey Knees. Still crossing my fingers for some Australian hip hop but it'll never happen.
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"
This is dumb. They both play a mix of arenas, theatres and fests. The big difference is he's Jack White, he was in the White Stripes. Deadmau5 is not on that level. If they were on the same lineup Jack would be listed ahead of Deadmau5.
Its dumb to say if an artist could sell 20,000 tickets or 5,000 tickets he would choose to sell 20,000 tickets? Jack white played two arenas on his last tour, one in his hometown and one in NYC, the rest were 5,000 capacity theaters. Jack White isn't arena status yet, while Deadmau5's last tour was an arena tour and the next one is too
I haven't caught up yet, but I had to pause to point out that I saw Jack play the Schottenstien ARENA in January..In Columbus...Ohio, not New York or Detroit. and it was fantastic.
