Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
MM are playing a show in TN being put on by AC shortly before Roo. Not looking likely.
You're thinking about this backwards. Since AC is the one putting on the show, they're much more likely to book them for both (assuming the first one sells enough). If a third party was promoting a show close to Bonnaroo, that'd make it much more difficult.
Any solid info floating around about when we'll get additions? I know the AMA said March and April, but I feel like it's been foorrreevvver since we got the lineup.
I would almost agree, but that gap is kind of convincing, but yet long enough that it could just be a berak from touring. And now that I think about it, maybe the fact that a band is that close really doesn't matter. AC booked Odesza for a show in Knoxville before Roo and they are on the lineup.
Edit: Honestly, I don't think that rule matters at all for smaller acts. Just look at all the events AC has booked with artists before Roo in Tennesee: concertwire.com/events/
I'm just not sure if MM would count as a small enough act or not.
Good find.
Alabama Shakes & Hozier have multiple TN shows before Bonnaroo. I bet they both would be billed higher than Modest Mouse.
I'm confused - has Modest Mouse's following dropped off that much recently?
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub
4/22: The Mountain Goats
5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"
5/31: The Decemberists
6/11-6/14: BONNAROO 2015
6/28: Against Me!
6/30: Against Me!

I think March 18. because tomorrow i think AC is announcing that new fest they have in Alabama. that, or its gonna be comedians. which i dont watch at roo anyway lol
I was not part of that crowd. I was watching Holy Ghost getting front and center for Tame Impala who played next.. Everyone is wanting Tame Impala this year when they could have seen them put on one of the best Roo performances I have ever seen and I still get to see Kendrick now this year! Worked out for me!

If March 18th does indeed turn out to be a day that something is announced, it won't pertain to the Sloss Festival - they are doing a press conference about that tomorrow.

Here is a list I compiled of artists that AC Entertainment is booking the next couple of months that are NOT on the Bonnaroo lineup. I'll scratch bands off the list once I start cross referencing it with tour dates. I realize that some of these may have been ruled out already, but give me a break. I'm doing this while bored at work. Also, I'm gonna feel like a dumbass if someone has already done this.
Alt-J - They are in Italy on 6/14. Ani DiFranco - No tour dates between 5/18 and 6/17. Apache Relay- No tour dates after 5/09. Aretha Franklin - No tour dates between 5/17 and 7/11. Bad Suns - Tour ends 5/16 until the weekend of Firefly. Open for 'Roo. Bill Burr - No tour dates between 5/16 and 6/26. Blackberry Smoke - They are in the UK on 6/12. Built to Spill - Maybe? Only tour date in June is on 6/13 in Brooklyn, NY. California Honeydrops - Again, maybe? Only tour date in June is 6/14 in San Francisco, CA. Corey Smith - Couple of festival dates on 6/06 and 6/20 in the South. Dan Deacon - He will be in Europe. Datsik - Tour date in Murfreesboro on 4/11. Only June date is 6/26 at Electric Forest. Dibs on camp "Bonnarooster In My Rari" if this addition happens.
Jesus Christ, Bonnaroo. Give us something already. Shaky Knees has already done artist additions and late nights. The new fest is putting the old dogs to shame.

They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.

Shakey Knees is in May and Sweetwater 420 is in next month! Of course they are going to be ahead of Bonnaroo's scheduling and release information. If we get anything this month(which we will be) consider it extra! The final additions with comedy and cafe acts always comes in April. Always.

I didnt think about 2010 because I didnt go that year. But yea, every other year is basically April. Sorry if I was off by a day or 2 because I didnt spend 30 mins to research it. I was going off memory, and by my memory, I was pretty right. And by right, I mean there's no need to be telling Bonnaroo that they should alreayd have announced additions by March 10th.. Which would be even earlier then 2010.

For future reference, this thread is great if you need the dates things happen. Saves a bunch of time googling.

..and 2010 was only because Conan O brien was the comedy act and he announced his tour in early March, which was probably the only reason they released the comedy additions so early. Every other year was the last week of March or April. So yea, it's basically Always April.

I HAD nothing against the art cars UNTIL they just gave me reason to hate them, haha. (I honestly can't read my own post without smiling) Really though, there should be an announcement of some nature soon because it's not like someone looked at this year's lineup and went, "You know... It's pretty good but it just doesn't quite do it for me... BUT, if they bring back that huge Volkswagen bug on the big wheels and the chick on it yelling in the megaphone, I'll fucking buy my ticket right there, on the spot!"
