Oh yeah Bonnaroo? You're bringing back the art cars? Nobody gives a fuck!!! Give us the damn artist additions or at least the comedian and/or the café acts. They know everyone is sittin around waiting for the additions and they announce that the fucking art cars are coming back... Whoopty fucking doo
its cool enough. We didnt know we were getting Kalliope back. Now we get to see everyone stay up super late expecting Bassnectar and Deadmau5 to come out at 6am like Skrillex did.

Oh, ok that's helpful, I didn't read it all the way through, I just saw what it was announcing and got pissed, haha. It will be really funny because the chances for that happening are so slim, but so many people are gonna lose so much sleep to see if it happens. Besides, if it happens, it'll be Deadmau5, not nectar and I'm not a mau5 fan/house fan in general, so I wouldn't have to stress about missing it even if I knew for a fact that he was gonna play a show like that.
Here is a list I compiled of artists that AC Entertainment is booking the next couple of months that are NOT on the Bonnaroo lineup. I'll scratch bands off the list once I start cross referencing it with tour dates. I realize that some of these may have been ruled out already, but give me a break. I'm doing this while bored at work. Also, I'm gonna feel like a dumbass if someone has already done this.
Alt-J - They are in Italy on 6/14. Ani DiFranco - No tour dates between 5/18 and 6/17. Apache Relay - No tour dates after 5/09. Aretha Franklin - No tour dates between 5/17 and 7/11. Only tour date in June is on 6/13 in Brooklyn, NY. California Honeydrops - Again, maybe? Only tour date in June is 6/14 in San Francisco, CA. Delta Spirit - Last tour date listed is 4/12 at a fest in Knoxville. Nothing about summer festival plans. Die Antwoord - They are open before they go to Europe on 6/18, but highly unlikely since they were there last year. Dirty Heads - At a fest in Alaska the weekend of Roo. Dr. Dog - Last date is 5/10 for Shaky Knees. Highly unlikely since they were at Roo last year. Earl Sweatshirt - In Europe during June. Father John Misty - Has about a week open that includes Bonnaroo before departing for Europe. Future Islands Govt Mule GRiZ Hollywood Undead J. Roddy Walston and The Business Jason Isbell Jenny Lewis Keb Mo Lewis Black Lil Dicky Lucinda Williams Mandolin Orange Marilyn Manson Matt & Kim Melvins - Tour beginning on 6/16; however, have a date in Nashville on 7/5. I'm still working on going through these. I'm about to power through some before I head home.
I'm just wondering how yall are awake at 6 Am for these shows?
I've been awake at 6 a.m. sober and not sober.
So...stamina, hydration, not going too hard on Thursday night, not over drinking if you care about the super late/early stuff. Party favors also help if you're into that sort of thing. But I was up til 5 wandering between Darkside and Kaskade last year completely sober. Just gotta stay up. The musics happening whether you're there or not.
I'm just wondering how yall are awake at 6 Am for these shows?
Last trip I made I remember wandering around wondering why all the beer was floating in water instead of sitting in ice. Then wondering where the lights were coming from beyond the treeline. Turned out it was the sun. You'ed be surprised at how entertaining it is late night.
Peter Hook & the Light Modest Mouse Govt Mule Melvins
Im down for any of this.
I saw govt mule back in 2009 at roo. They had an awesome show. Saw Melvins the next year at roo? They deserve a bigger venue imo, maybe the which stage would be fitting. And I have yet to see Peter Hook and the Light.....only on Youtube....This would be an awesome show to see. I like Joy Division's sound. Very Influential.
I have an idea that would maybe help us out as far as predicting the lineup/artist additions. It'd be neat if we could come up with a script that would run through a database of concerts and specifically pick out artists that have open days during June 10-14. I'm not sure what database would be used, though. I just thought of this while poking around on Pollstar.

Was really hoping for a Dark Side of the Mule set...

im still holding out a bit of hope for refused. no clue where they'd fit on the line-up, but they are in Vegas in late May and then Canada late June. i assumed US tour in between but nothing announced. my over hopefulness says maybe they are waiting for them to be announced for this before announcing a tour

I just hope we get at least a few decent adds. If it ends up just being cafe acts, I'll do my best to live with it. Already anticipating horrendous conflicts with the current state of the lineup. Adding more will only make it worse lol.

no chance of only getting cafe acts. They even said in the reddit they will announce acts in March and April

Is Sufjan Stevens still pretty much not likely to happen? I thought I saw he was doing some festivals but I haven't seen his name thrown around on the thread much besides once or twice briefly. If he did show up on the lineup additions, that would be a shock!

I'm thinking Fences is looking like a good chance of an add...new album just released, it's great. Only date near Roo is Firefly. I think this would be a great set on the farm.

I think it would be very unlikely. His closest Southern dates are Richmond, Durham, and New Orleans. While I am surprised that he doesn't have a Nashville date, he has publicly stated that he doesn't like playing festivals, which I think makes him a pretty unlikely get.

Yeah, backing up this statement. He's gonna be at Eaux Claires but that's the only fest I know of that he's attending (in the US)...if he was going to do one in the Southeast area, my money would've been on Shaky Knees. As Jaz mentioned, he has said numerous times that he isn't really into playing festivals. You should catch one of his tour shows though! I may or may not be going to three in total...
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Can't wait to see Sufjan Stevens! I'm with you. Don't take any chances on the festival circuit and just buy a ticket to see him on tour. It's gonna be pretty damn magical.

DANG! Are you going to that first show in Philly? Gotta say I'm pretty jelly. I've got to wait till he gets around to Austin in May. Fortunately, that gives me ample to absorb the new album and perhaps avoid crying like a baby during the live show.
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.

A) Yessss, very first show of the tour. And I'm gonna rub it in Jaz 's face while I'm basking in the Sufjan splendor and he has to wait 24 more hours for it (jk, I'm actually a bit jealous he snagged Friday and I'm stuck with Thursday) B) I've already resigned myself to the fact that I will almost certainly cry. Multiple times. Luckily I'm pretty good at the ~silent cry~

I'd consider this unlikely. Mandolin Orange - Has 6/13-6/15 open; however the dates before and after that are on the West coast. Marilyn Manson - At Download Festival the weekend of Roo. Matt & Kim - No dates between 6/05 and 6/18, which are both festivals. Still a possibility. Melvins - Tour beginning on 6/16; however, have a date in Nashville on 7/5.
