Exact same boat except I have to convince 5 others to do it with me..
Haha, I actually would have to talk 3 others into doing it with me but the thing is that I would rather pay for my own gas up there and drive alone and see the Rolling Stones than make the drive up there with friends. I love my friends, but I will be spending the entire weekend with them at Roo. I already posted in our Facebook group the situation and I told everybody I've got up to 3 spots in my car for the taking if people want to keep me company/see the Stones together before meeting the rest of our friends in Manchester before going into the roo grounds. I'm quite excited, just hoping at least one of my friends is down to do the stones with me because I'll be happy no matter what at that show but I'll be ecstatic if I can share the memory with a friend or two, especially with it segwaying into Bonnaroo. It's a shame there isn't Macca or Prince playing this year because seeing two of the biggest touring acts in the world would just be surreal, just the Stones/Billy Joel combo is hard to wrap my mind around (+ Robert plant, MMJ, Kendrick, Atomic Bomb)
We're in the samew mind-set man! Ii'm just nervous about the pricing of the tickets! I can't see my buddies being too excited about throwing down $250 on half decent seats. I on the other hand, don't give a shit.

I 2nd your thoughts about U2. I'm just not interested. However, I've been surprised by how much I enjoy some artists because of the show they put on. The outdoor festival environment also seems to add a lot to a show. I'd really like to see Coldplay on a Bonnaroo lineup.

Yep, it's all riding on the ticket price because my friends and I are just broke ass college kids, but I'm more than willing to follow the ramen noodle diet if it means I get to see the stones

I could get behind that if they pretended like the last two albums they've released didn't exist and played ZERO songs from anything beyond Viva La Vida (and even from that, only a few tracks are really noteworthy, so basically I would just want them to pretend anything past X&Y was all a bad dream). But that would never ever happen. They'd play all their shitzy hits from the past 5 years, ugh
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I feel this way about aerosmith.. I'm just not sure where I'd stop with them. Pump maybe?

Have they even had hits since Viva La Vida? I can't think of one.
Am I the only one who thought Viva La Vida was much stronger than X&Y? Though like pretty much everyone except Chris Martin himself, I have zero interest in hearing anything from Ghost Stories or My Little Xylophone. I couldn't even be arsed to take a half-hour bus trip last year to star in their music video last year.

Get a Grip was their last good album IMO. It's all down hill after that.
Holy fuck. Still no additions? Way to build the hype, Bonnaroo.
I thought the rumor was tomorrow. Or maybe I'm making that up. Let me go to Reddit and check.
The rumor IS tomorrow. But this is speculation that arose last week from somebody pointing out AC would be making an announcement for Sloss festival on Wednesday the 11th and then additions would be announced for the following Wednesday (Tomorrow the 18th). The dude was right about the sloss festival announcement. But it could have been common knowledge that it was going to be announced on that day, so I'm not sure. Looks like tomorrow is just your typical "logical" fare. We shall see. This week is as good as any other week this month to announce additions. After all, they did say additions would come in March and April (Hopefully art cars wasn't part of that). Keep your fingers crossed I guess.
Pixies have dates announced on Wed, 6/10 in Chicago, IL and Mon, 6/15 in Cary, NC, (with no dates listed in between) both with Robert Plant. This could make them a logical candidate as one of the additions.
