I could get behind that if they pretended like the last two albums they've released didn't exist and played ZERO songs from anything beyond Viva La Vida (and even from that, only a few tracks are really noteworthy, so basically I would just want them to pretend anything past X&Y was all a bad dream). But that would never ever happen. They'd play all their shitzy hits from the past 5 years, ugh
Have they even had hits since Viva La Vida? I can't think of one.
I think A Sky Full of Stars would be considered ~a hit~. Oh and definitely Paradise. Both pretty worthless songs.
I know lots of people here probably never liked Coldplay even from their very first album, but I went through high school making a lot of great memories alongside the likes of Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head. Lots of beautiful sing-alongs to the Scientist with my fellow music lover frands.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

The people announcing our downtown after 5 lineup last night said they were playing Hangout and Bonnaroo. They are the last band on the lineup at Hangout so probably a café act.
I thought the rumor was tomorrow. Or maybe I'm making that up. Let me go to Reddit and check.
The rumor IS tomorrow. But this is speculation that arose last week from somebody pointing out AC would be making an announcement for Sloss festival on Wednesday the 11th and then additions would be announced for the following Wednesday (Tomorrow the 18th). The dude was right about the sloss festival announcement. But it could have been common knowledge that it was going to be announced on that day, so I'm not sure. Looks like tomorrow is just your typical "logical" fare. We shall see. This week is as good as any other week this month to announce additions. After all, they did say additions would come in March and April (Hopefully art cars wasn't part of that). Keep your fingers crossed I guess.
it is just a guess. these last few announcements have all been on wednesdays. since last wednesday was taken by sloss (i saw someone say they were having a press conference about it), and AC is running out of wednesdays in this month (they also have the 25th), i guessed today. and they also have april (they mentioned additions throughout march and april). today could be artist additions, it could be comedy lineup, it could be absolutely nothing. i don't know, i'm just as clueless as you are
thursday looks pretty empty, which means we might not be getting too many friday and saturday artists.
Based off of a quick count compared to last year's number of sets per day it looks like they would need to add 4 or 5 acts to fill out Thursday, 6-8 act to both Friday and Saturday, and Sunday looks pretty well full.
9-4 to 9-6 SummerDance Festival 9-20- St Paul and the Broken Bones 9-30 Ott 10-21 Emancipator Ensemble 10-22 ATB 10-23 W&W 10-28 STS9 11-18 Dan Deacon 11-21 The Werks/ Twiddle 12-4 Darude 12-8 The Revivalist 12-30 & 12-31 Decadence NYE (Denver) 1-17 Mr. Carmack 1-28 Yo La Tengo 2-9 TAUK 2-27 Lotus and Michal Menert 2-29 Beach House 3-3 to 3-6 Okeechobee Festival 5-9 King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 5-23 DIIV
I would rather them give us artist additions than day-by-day schedule. Counterpoint did this too without the full lineup. Doesn't really make sense...
Edit: just realized single day tix+shuttle from Nashville go on sale Friday, 3/20 - hence the day-by-day schedule. Still though...we don't have a full lineup!

I don't think we're getting additions today. Would make no sense to do this after the day-to-day schedule is just released. It would seemingly make more sense to have all the lineup information out there before releasing any schedule information, though I guess they want to get a jump start on single day ticket sales.
Have they done single days in the past? I can't say I ever remember that being an option, but it's never been something I would have considered anyway.
Who makes guacamole happen!?!? Does a tabloid like the University of Oklahoma student paper make guacamole happen or do ME AND YOU make it exist? Just cause they write about it doesn't make guacamole exist - ME AND YOU MAKE IT EXIST!
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Tent/Stage Acts for 2014 vs. announced names for 2015 per day:
Thursday: 22 vs. 17 Friday: 35 vs. 28 Saturday: 33 vs. 27 Sunday: 25 vs. 26.
Assuming an equal number of acts for 2014 vs. 2015, we're in for 17 more names, mostly on the 3 first three days. Sunday looks to be set.
What is the math like if you subtract the cafe acts?
That's not including cafe acts for either year.
Weirdest thing to me is that Friday and Saturday don't really have a noticeably larger amount of acts scheduled than Sunday, even though they have late night slots to fill.
Either there are going to be a decent amount of additions, or Bonnaroo really slacked off on booking this year.

Am i the only one that feels the by day schedule release is a diversion to distract away from the fact that we still have NO additions. Or maybe my frustration level is just growing and this weed is making me paranoid.
