not sure if they'd extend set times to fill the voids. another possibility
That would make sense. Trying to make a mock of even the Friday schedule is pretty rough with things the way they are. Has there been a year where there are only four acts in some of the tents during the day? I'm wondering if Deadmau5's set is gonna knock out some of the usual LN sets.

I would say that's doubtful....I feel like they HAVE to give people a decent amount of LN options other than just Deadmau5....plus LN at Roo is what people look forward to most!
Am i the only one that feels the by day schedule release is a diversion to distract away from the fact that we still have NO additions. Or maybe my frustration level is just growing and this weed is making me paranoid.
Do you have a ticket already? Because I want additions too, but honestly what does it matter if additions come now or in a month?
As long as they show before the festival takes place, nothing really changes.

Has anyone here mentioned Pixies are opening for Robert Plant after Bonnaroo? I wasn't exactly thrilled with their Deal-less Coachella set, but they would make a solid addition for those of you who haven't seen them.

I just don't get the hype about seeing them anymore. The new album sucked, and Kim is gone. She probably left because she knew the magic was gone. Sometimes it's best to just let things go.
I don't think we're getting additions today. Would make no sense to do this after the day-to-day schedule is just released. It would seemingly make more sense to have all the lineup information out there before releasing any schedule information, though I guess they want to get a jump start on single day ticket sales.
Have they done single days in the past? I can't say I ever remember that being an option, but it's never been something I would have considered anyway.
Not really sure how long ago but they've been doing the single day ticket plus a bus shuttle from Nashville for a couple of years now. It's pretty expensive for 1 day, but I'm assuming a lot of ppl do it since they keep bringing it back.

Ticket bought. But that doesnt change the fact that I am impatient and want what i want.

Yeah, I figured so. Couldn't find the evidence and didn't care to try. Real C- effort.

I'm growing impatient too. Maybe even a little more skeptical despite the numbers being pointed out that we're in for a larger amount of mid-tier additions than previous years. In the end though, I'll be satisfied. The addition of screens to the tents makes everything better for me.

They are the Pixies(!), some of us actually grew up listening to their music, hence the hype about seeing them. If they were added I would totally plan to see them, but I will not pay the $90 before fees ticket prices they are selling for here in NOLA. Especially without Kim.

Let's be honest, the best addition Bonnaroo could have ever made was screens at This, That, and the Other. I'm happy with the lineup, so if they just announce the cafes I'll be content.

I saw them last year, and I thought they rocked even without Kim. Yeah, they aren't as good as they were in 1989, but they're still better than most of the shit out there. Also, the setlist is still like 90-95% old stuff.
It would make zero sense to not add a good 10-20 artists, which would leave giant gaps in the schedule compared to years past. I'm not expecting big names and I'm glad; most of the bands I listen to are "mid-level" adds. I'd be fine with the way things are but I'm pretty sure it's already been confirmed that there will be at least a decent amount of non-cafe adds.
Of Monsters and Men are releasing a new album. I loved them in 2013 (even though the sound quality was not great - not exactly their fault). Is it possible that they would be an addition? Or are they too big to be an addition at this point? They have room on their tour (first overseas gig is 6/16).

I don't think they are to big for an add. And Saturday has enough room for them. I was really let down by the sound last time. Couldn't hear it at all past the tree line. Really wish they would figure out something for the sound on which. It obviously can be louder since Skrillex was able to fill the whole centeroo with sound.

I think the thing with Skrillex though is that - and this isn't a slight against him - his music relies less on having a crisp sound. It's intentionally abrasive and noisy, so clipping at high volumes or a little bit of crackle doesn't affect the experience as much. But when your music is contingent on harmonies and nuance, having a crisper sound becomes much more important.

so I wouldn't expect additions for a while... I can't see the point in releasing a day by day breakdown if they had a solid hold on the additions, as it would make sense to do that afterwards. This to me just seems like a buy some time move, keep people talking...

Do people think that Bonnaroo is just sitting there with the full lineup not releasing it? They probably want to announce all the artist additions at once and they'll almost certainly put it out as soon as it's finalized. Still 3 months until the festival.

I'd bet they have the full lineup done at this point. They are rolling things out slowly, which has always been their thing. Who knows what might sell a person a ticket. The thing with single day passes going on sale soon makes a lot of sense on why they'd want to get that out there.

I'm happy with everything so far, but this day by day drop they did today is definitely to get single day passes on sale. Have they ever started single day passes this early? This could be a sign of bad ticket sales like we are hearing.

I'm thinking this has to do with poor ticket sales as well. This is the first year out of the 5 that I have been where I've had trouble recruiting people to go. Also, combine this with the fact that FireFly announced today that they wouldn't be doing single-day tickets and that they're closing to selling out at 90k per day makes this even more concerning.
I know we're all hyped on the lineup and the fest but a lot of first timers aren't familiar with the benefits of Roo and will just go without whatever lineup they recognize the most names on. For a typical 20-something radio listener (not a die-hard music fan) there isn't a lot on this lineup that you might recognize outside of the top few lines. Even bands like MMJ, The War on Drugs and Atomic Bomb, who we all agree are great "gets", haven't truly had a crossover on radio.
Truly I hope the farm will be a little less packed this year and will allow easier access to the tent shows, and with the looks of things it may become a reality.
Now, adding Pixies will make even more sense because they'll close the Which with Spoon on the Which before them. I hope Pixies ends up being an addition.
Also, even some friends of kind that have attended year after year, decided to do other things this summer because the lineup just doesn't get em excited, which is a huge bummer because roo is the only time I get to see a lot of my favorite people and now some of them won't come BUT I've arranged to see them elsewhere this summer AND it means the farm could be less packed this year, as gearbm95 just point out. A smaller crowd + Tent screens = easy access to see shows no matter how late you show up, so I'm excited for that so in case I get a bit out of my mind and end up wandering around during late nights! I'll be able to see what's going down while I dance in the back! it's like heaven.
