Once again stupid work has made me miss out on shit happening. I am very happy the day by day dropped, really worried about conflicts and STOKED that Royal Blood is indeed on Friday like I was thinking/hoping. I can't fucking wait.

Wow, this is the first time I can say I could actually skip Sunday and be OK with it. Not saying I'm going to because I do want to see the artists in bold above but for me its definitely the weakest day. Really I just mostly want to see Caribou.
Do you know and dislike Florence and Spoon? Those two stick out to me for you not to bold - I get if that style of music just isn't your thing, though.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Gramatik is bigger and has a way larger catalog so im going with him playing the last Thursday set. At least on paper anyway. Dopapod would be my second choice and might just keep playing if they dont have anyone scheduled after them.
Already getting clausterphobic thinking about that Glass Animals Thursday set. Those brand new screens better be up and running by then!
Im still shocked at Gramatik getting Thursday. I predicted it this being his first Roo, but damn. Im guessing the most packed Thursday night set.
I figured he would. Break Science is more popular, kind of similar, and they got that Thursday slot too. Truthfully, I'm not all that excited to see Gramatik. If Roo had booked him two years ago I would've been so stoked. But his newer material is pretty boring and kind of generic. I'll most likely still attend barring any schedule conflicts. But Saturday with SBTRKT, Jamie XX, Tycho, and Flume is where I'll get down with the glowy shenanigans
I'm disappointed with Florence on Sunday. I assume she'll be pre-HL before Billy Joel given her placement on the lineup?
And Plant closing the Which. Which leaves seeing him wide open for conflicts.
I really cant figure this one out. Do you have a musical legend close the Which stage? Im gonna see Florence wherever she is but I just cant figure out if they move her to What and move Plant to Which. Its a clusterfuck

They usually have all stages playing on Sunday around 6-8. Its always a mess before the headliner.

I see it as Plant Pre-HLing and Florence closing the Which. The Sunday which closer has usually been a relatively young/new but really popular act. Ex. (The White Stripes, Band of Horses, Phoenix, The Strokes, The Shins, David Byrne and St. Vincent, Wiz Khalifa). Byrne is really the only aged rocker out of that group, but he was playing in a new group with St. Vincent. I think Florence fits in with that above group a whole lot more than Plant.
Actually if it was exactly like last year it'd go Florence - Plant - Billy Joel (5,6,1)
Last year was Arctic Monkeys - Avetts - Elton which was 9,6,1
I'm guessing it'll be Florence on Which and Plant on What or vice versa, either way that conflict is a bummer. They really quacked it all up by not giving MMJ the late night slot.

I know I'm about to catch a lot of shit over this but anyone see Twenty One Pilots fall to this slot? They are young and VERY VERY energetic

Don't see Roo putting them in that slot over any of Plant, Florence, and Spoon. Just don't see, although I'd probably love it because would most likely relieve some conflicts.

I was thinking it could go like this What: Plant>Florence>Joel Which: Spoon>TWP

I think that is just extremely unlikely. Switch 21 Pilots and Spoon, and you might be on to something.

Is this because you just predominantly don't know the artists, or genuinely don't like them? I feel like there are a few great artists there you're missing but that's probably just my personal taste.

Should have added the disclaimer "pending further research". I will definitely look into other artists playing Sunday I'm not familiar with.
I am familiar with Florence and have a great deal of respect for her. I've seen her live at a handful of festivals and its a fine show, just doesn't really do much for me.
Spoon is odd for me, I really really loved Spoon around when Gimme Fiction came out. Loved that record, loved Kill The Moonlight, Girls Can Tell, and a Series of Sneaks. But then I really didn't like Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and everyone else seemed to love it. Have not listened to any of their albums after that, and strangely got tired of the old songs I used to love. I don't really get tired of bands anymore, but I did get tired of Spoon. Again much respect, it just doesn't move me anymore. Maybe I should give the new stuff a listen, might change my mind.
I really don't see a scenario where I'll be able to watch Tears For Fears and it's killing me. Maybe if they play after/during Deadmau5?
Also, no way Florence plays the Which.
The White Stripes, The Strokes, Mumford, Phoenix, Wu-Tang Clan and Wiz Khalifa, among others, have all played the Which. Florence + the Machine could definitely be on the Which.
I'd honestly put it at about 60-40 chance of What Pre-HL or Which closer.

I'd highly recommend Shakey Graves also, if you haven't given him a shot. He's one of my new finds because of Roo and I'm hooked.
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub
4/22: The Mountain Goats
5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"
5/31: The Decemberists
6/11-6/14: BONNAROO 2015
6/28: Against Me!
6/30: Against Me!

Only one of those acts was billed 5th or higher when they played the Which. Either way, Florence on the Which would be a clusterfuck.

True. I'm just saying that it is kinda dumb to say that there is no way that Florence could close the Which.
And yeah I agree with you that Florence on the Which would be an epic clusterfuck, but that doesn't mean that Roo isn't capable of doing it.
