Last year, Friday evening was the absolute worst for me. Head and the Heart/Chvrches/Vampire Weekend/Neutral Milk/Phoenix, blehh. Top 10 matched against each other on Sunday would make that stretch of last year's Friday look like a walk in the park, though.
Don't forget A Tribe Called Red in there.
Ugh, yep, I would've loved to see ATCR, too, but I decided early on that that would be one I'd definitely have to miss out on during that mess of 3/4 hours. I ended up doing half of tH&tH, rushed over to VW (but totally regretted going there instead of Chvrches or first part of NMH, such such regret) and left early to catch all of Phoenix (which luckily wasn't a regret at all - one of my favorite shows of the weekend).

I had luckily seen VW and Jeff Mangum solo already and not seen Phoenix, so it made the conflict easier for me. We went to 20 minutes of ATCR, half of The Head and The Heart, and ended up on the rail of the back of the VIP pit for Phoenix. Wow. What a show.

What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Man that RTJ vs MMJ is looking likely now. No way Bassnectar plays Friday, when Deadmau5 is the number one EDM act that night. Unless RTJ gets a mid day like Danny Brown. Based on how stacked Friday is looking so far, I would be fine with a mid day set.

If we can just confirm MMJ for Friday for sure so I know they don't conflict with slayer, I'll be pretty happy.
I've already accepted I won't be able to make RTJ if they play a LN tent. Too crowded, and assuming conflicts.

Yeah I saw that and thought it might be a placeholder, but they do make sense to play on Thursday so I will go ahead and add them. I will keep an eye on their dates to see if anything changes.

I know... band's sites, blah, blah, blah, placeholder date, blah, blah, blah. Given she is 2nd to last on the lineup all signs point to legit, imo. Detroit band, saw them open up for St Paul & the Broken Bones in Oct. They are playing with J Roddy Walston & the Business and Moon Taxi in the Carolinas in March (for $13-$15 -- holy shitballs!). Check them out if you haven't heard them. You can stream the full debut album from them on the YouTubery.

Yeah, King Gizzard and Jungle are the 2 groups so far I have been introduced too since lineup drop. on the Growlers note, I figured they would be Thursday. They are basically alittle more well known Allah Las of last year. Allah Las played real early on Thursday(first group I saw), I expect The Growlers to go a bit later but not LN. Jungle could be a great Thursday act.

Also noticed Billy Joel has Saturday listed on Bandsintown. It doesn't look like his website or facebook uses the Bandsintown app to link his dates like a lot of the other bands do so I'm gonna hold off on changing anything.
I checked Mumford and they have Thursday and Saturday listed on Bandsintown. But again it doesn't look like they use that app to link their dates.

Yeah I don't think that is happening, I still think it is going to be Mumford on Saturday and Joel on Sunday and those dates are just incorrect/placeholders. If the Joel date on Saturday is correct, it just means that Mumford would be on Sunday, not both of them playing on Saturday.

Haha yeah, I'm all for holding out hope that we'll get an add along the lines of Future Islands - very popular and on the rise, but still not ultra famous - but we AREN'T getting another headliner. Let's be reasonable here.

I appreciate the share. Watched it this weekend and can't say I love it.
But I also didn't love Ty Segal when I first heard him, and in fact skipped his Thursday set last year at Bonnaroo. Didn't get into him until I heard his WTF episode.
Haha yeah, I'm all for holding out hope that we'll get an add along the lines of Future Islands - very popular and on the rise, but still not ultra famous - but we AREN'T getting another headliner. Let's be reasonable here.
