Hey all, I've basically been sitting here all day reading up on the festival and all of the adventures it has to offer.
What are some things that I absolutely can't miss at my first Bonnaoo?
Get as much rest as possible during the day so you can rage LN. People will also mention spicy pie, Amish donuts but having the energy for LN seems to be the big one

This. The first year I went I was so excited to get up and into the fest asap but would be so worn out come 1am it was hard to push through those late night sets which are always better then the day sets imo. Now when I go I mostly chill at camp til about 3 or 4 pm to rest unless there's a must see in the afternoon.

I learned the beauty of this last year. I stayed at camp til 6 or 7 one day and it was glorious. Didn't miss anything I was crazy about and then I had all the energy I needed for the night.
This will be my 3rd year and I still haven't had an Amish Donut.
Last year was my third, and also my first Amish Donut, so perhaps this should be your year too? It was delicious.
So are we saying this is a 3rd year thing then? I plan on getting one for sure. I'm pretty sure I smelled them my first year but I could never find where the smell was coming from.
As others have said, Late Night. Major Lazer and Skrillex both blew my mind in '12, and last year's Darkside set ended up being my favorite show of the year. Let it be said though, that I did ingest a Spicy Pie moments before that show.
Another thing that was a first for me last year was joining in on Thursday night's parade. That was pretty memorable and just an all around high energy fun time.
Don't miss the cinema tent if you are super tired and overheating. It feels great in there and they play awesome movies. Grab a red bull, sit down and enjoy the cool AC. Best part is the line. There usually isn't one unless there Is about to be a speaker.
Exactly this. I never understood the people who spend all day playing beer pong or corn hole or something at camp. There are things to do and people to see in centeroo! Go there! If you're tired, find a shady spot to nap. I totally napped in 2013 under one the mister tents. It's was fantastic.

When I first read you post I though "What the hell are you doing?!?!?" Then I realized my Bonnaroo 3 was the first time I had an Amish doughnut.
I'm already putting together my Bonnaroo bucket list in case this is the only time we get to go. Good info here! So, what kind of music is usually played at the late night sets? Is it more EDM? I'm not as into that genre so I'm wondering if late night is something we will check out once, and just head back to sleep after midnight. I'm old :/

They play a lot of genres late night. If you want specifics just look for previous years schedules.
So far I've gathered that the Amish Donuts (and possibly pretzels) are a must, can't miss My Morning Jacket or the late nights, show up to Brunch (already RSVP'd; get ready for delicious Ohio craft beer), and a general exploration of Centeroo.

Thanks! I was able to find previous years' schedules at the beginning of January on the Bonnaroo website, but I can't find them since they updated the theme. Is it only me, or are they gone now?
