So hyped for this. Love the XX, started getting into him after seeing @rorybbellows talk about the three singles he released in 2014. I didn't expect him after he popped up on the Big Ears Fest lineup.
If he does not get a late night spot, this will be a travesty.
Not really. He's never toured with any sort of stage set up, and he's pretty low key. I think he'd be perfect in the same slot James Blake played last year.

After seeing Clockwork play at noon 2 years ago (which was also a travesty), I sincerely hope he gets a late night nod.
Yeah, the two really aren't similar in any regard, at all.
I've seen Jamie xx a handful of times. While it'd be best that he wasn't in the blazing sun, he'd be fine in the early evening. I really think he closes a tent, pre-headliner. He's not some wild, peaks-and-eruptions EDM act, nor overly visual, so honestly a late night slot would be kind of wasted. Just because it's electronic music doesn't mean it needs to happen at midnight.

also, if every single good band plays late night, the conflicts will make this lineup worse than it already is. The james blake spot was awesome because it was dark out anyways.

One of my favorite shows last year was Tourist at like 1pm. Also, SBTRKT and Four Tet were during the day and good.
Jamie XX will similarly be good at any time.

Just started listening to the album preview...I'm really feeling this. I love The xx but never really got into his solo DJ stuff, I actually really like this. I'd love for him to get a tent closing set, but I know that'll cause a conflict with Florence more than likely. Fuck!

Jamie is playing on Saturday and Florence is playing Sunday so youre safe!
I'm dreading a Jamie xx and My Morning Jacket conflict
This is my most dreaded conflict and unfortunately it feels like its unavoidable.My big hope is that even though MMJ isn't headlining that maybe just maybe they'll get a set that's like 1 hour 45 minutes and they won't overlap that much, so I will be able to see most of both.

Whoa whoa whoa. Absolutely false. I said Chrome Sparks was BETTER, not that I hated the track. Infact, I love it. And after hearing the live disco edit of it twice now I think its better than Sparks. Though I still think it's weird he went after that sample when Spark's track was already so popular.
I am really digging his Coachella set. I know this might be blasphemy, but I hope he gets an early tent spot at 1pm like Classixx last year or Clockwork in '13. Otherwise I fear I will have miss his set for MMJ or The War on Drugs. Plus I can't think of a better dance party to start Saturday.
