I just hope you fine Clemson folk remember I had you in the playoffs at the start of the year.
Of course I also had Auburn. Yikes.
My other two picks (Michigan State & Oklahoma) could still get in.
Being the only Indiana football fan on Inforoo I am qualified to say that Michigan State has very little chance to make the playoff. They really struggled to beat IU until the late 4th qtr. Granted their O-line is banged up badly but they made IU's pathetic defense look great for three quarters. Same could be said for Ohio State. Are the Wolverines the real class of the bigten this year? That MSU loss is going to haunt them for a while.
It's not inconceivable that Michigan wins the division. MSU will likely lose OSU, and then could lose a second game to Nebraska or Penn State, making the UM OSU game a division title game in Ann Arbor. I would bet on OSU to win out, but there could still be a crazy finish.
What I really want to see is Iowa win the Big Ten. That'd be hilarious.
I can't let her answer this question because no Pitt fan should feel good enough. While we are sitting pretty, we still have our toughest two ACC games with UNC at home Thursday night and at Duke in three weeks. Plus Louisville and Miami at home before and after Thanksgiving. Those teams probably have as much talent as we do if not more. So no Pitt fans should be booking travel to Charlotte yet.
All of this is true. Ive been a Pitt fan for far too long to be booking a non refundable plane ticket to Charlotte this early. Got the email today from the season ticket office to put my request in for the Championship and Bowl game. Ill probably end up requesting tickets, but I wont be booking a hotel or airfare until I see how UNC goes Thurs and Duke goes on the 14th. Banking on the Miami game being meaningless by then. (Pitt, UNC, Duke and Miami all play each other the next 3 weekends its probable the Costal will be settled by Nov 14th) Pitt travels well. Its more of a "home" game for Clemson but expect Pitt to make a decent showing. Plus its like -40 here in December, Pittsburghers like any excuse to get south. Im in if we end up in Charlotte.
Yeah, I'm going to Charlotte if the good guys are there.
Why are they dragging out the Gameday announcement? Temple is the obvious choice even though that would mean no Pitt the following week
EDIT: NVM they just announced Temple and the Pitt/ND game is now a noon game. Im sure its to make room so OSU can play some high school at 8pm
DOUBLE EDIT: Its so OSU can play Minnesota primetime (same thing as a high school team)
That game never had much of a chance for gameday. Bama/LSU is that week. They may have went to Clemson/FSU if both was undefeated...but the choice is easy now.
Even though both TCU/OKST are likely to be undefeated, it seems unlikely for gameday.

Given their history, they stood a chance albeit a weak one. LSU/Bama wont be the game it looked like it was going to be at the beginning of the season. Good news is now I can do laundry and Destiny raids that Saturday night instead of watch football.

The real shame is that they chose to go to Temple instead of going to The Palouse for Stanford visiting a 5-2 Washington State team. It was a viable choice and I let Gameday know on Twitter how upset I was that they didn't go to Pullman, that'll show 'em!
In case you have never heard, Wazzou has an improbably long streak of having their flag fly on College Gameday. When Gameday was at Pitt for the Hokies game in 2003, my brother and I asked about the flag from the guy flying it. The Washington State University Alumni Association had started mailing flags to alumni every week since October 2003, and those alumni volunteered to fly the flag on the show. The goal was to get Gameday to Pullman. At the time of this USA Today article I'm linking, the flag had been flown 133 straight weeks on the show. With two more seasons and this year, that number is up around 170 straight shows.
It's a real shame they chose Temple instead of heading to Eastern Washington.

That's crazy. I've noticed a Clemson flag every time I've watched it this year. idk how long that's been going on. But Clemson doesn't need to do it in order to get Game Day to come here, so I guess they just want to keep it going for fun?

Theres alot of colleges that send alumni to College Gameday but not that extent. I work with a Lehigh alum that gets asked all the time to go fly their flag anywhere remotely close to the east coast.

I know they have been doing it since 2013, if not longer. There is a place on the alumni website where you can request to do it at a College Gameday.
Every time I start to be on board with Clemson's success, you arise to keep it in check. Thanks for being you.
You'll have to get on Steph about this too. We bought tickets on the Coastal side because there were none left on the Atlantic. She said it doesn't matter because the whole stadium will be orange. And it's true, it doesn't matter which team we're playing.
Hey you, are you trying to make people not like me too? It's true, this will basically be a home game (if we make it). Charlotte is only 2 hours away from Clemson. And Clemson travels well anyway. Last time we played in the ACC Championship, we bought this family four package, which was 4 tickets, 4 chickfila sandwiches, and four t-shirts for $100. Yes, it's the nosebleed sections, but they were not bad seats. I heard about the deal again over a month ago, and after the win Saturday, and the FSU loss, I figured I might as well go on & get them. Worse case, and I mean worse case, is I give them away to my friend who lives in Charlotte and runs a charity.

My worst case is I sell them to FSU fans if they beat us.

Get back to me, I know some friends who might like to buy those.

So my director told a joke today.
"I saw Butch Jones in Knoxville this past week. I told him how disappointed I had been in the season so far especially after all the money I spent on season tickets. Butch says, "I understand your frustration. I'm frustrated too. Tell you what. I'll give you all the money in my pocket right now." He reaches into his pockets and says, "Oh. I'm sorry. I only have three quarters."
