All I know is that Purity Ring better get a night time slot. The thought of seeing them at Sloss Furnace at night just sounds like a perfectly haunting evening.
Tyler is a f'n chump. I enjoyed exiting his set last year at Buku with a middle finger raised. Of course that's what he was going for. Odd Future (minus Earl) was great at Voodoo 2012. But since, I thought Earl Sweatshirt sucked at Buku 2013, and Tyler was semi-lame at Buku 2014.

What did he do to cause you to exit the set while giving the finger?
Tyler sticking out like a sour thumb on that 'indie'/alt-saturated line-up. But then again, since alt-loving white folk adore him, I guess he fits right in.

Please, enlighten us as to what your problem is with Tyler.
He asked for it. He was cursing the crowd and heckling everyone and asking for it back. It was actually pretty amusing from that standpoint, but the show just wasn't that great. Having seen him with the full entourage of OFWGKTA at Voodoo a couple years prior (that's the show where he swung at someone from the press and forced their camera to hit them in the face and got sued) and having laughed and jammed all the way through that set, I had higher expectations. And I was splitting the set with Beats Antique anyway.
My thing with Tyler is that I always feel like he's in it for the money and doesn't appear to be serious about anything but the cash. I'm not saying there is anything particularly wrong with that in his case, but he can be pretty smug. I don't hate him, and I'd probably give him another chance (especially if Odd Future was on tour) but I do find him to be a chump.

I actually have zero problem with him - I've bought his album before. I just think it's really fascinating how they only have him as the only hip-hop act on that line-up. He's an outlier in his own genre, but he probably likes it that way - he's got that punk mentality. While ironically, punk fans would turn their nose up at the majority of that line-up.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that. I suppose I can't really comment on him being in it for the cash as I don't follow him that closely. I don't listen to him very often, but my SO is excited that he is on the lineup. I'm hoping she won't be disappointed but my expectations are pretty reserved for his set.

Yeah, I've heard that his shows are more similar to punk shows. I wouldn't say that completely. I'm a punk fan, and I'm looking forward to Modest Mouse, Purity Ring, Tyler, St. Paul, and most of all PRIMUS. I'm going to have to explore some of the other acts, though.

It should be pretty raucous. From the two times I've seen him, it seems as though he likes to play along with the crowd and challenge them. He's a pretty good rapper live, so it's most likely not going to be a suck show.
I went ahead and booked my hotel room in case I end up getting a ticket. I'm a little excited. Would love to mark modest mouse off my list to see live.
