I know it was Passover on Friday and Saturday so y'all were probably super busy, but I can't help but notice how quiet the game got once I switched my vote to Krissy. Pretty much no one came at me about that vote switch - a pretty big move that would unilaterally decide for the town whether we have another runoff or not. I can't help but think that the Mafia are 10000% ok with Krissy being voted off so easily. Having said that, I'm switching back to Potent and I strongly encourage a Potent/Jazmo runoff.

That sounds right to me. I think that - at least in part - it might be due to the general level of activity by some people vs. others. The most active people in this thread are krissy, potent, rummaging, myself, and Tainted. Four of those players have already locked their votes, and I imagine potent would be somewhat hesitant to switch his vote given that he already has heat on him this round, partially because of his vote switches. I can't speak for krissy or potent, obviously, but at this point in the round I think there's enough suspicion on each of us for us to not want to draw much more attention to ourselves. That's the reason for my quietude at least. And given that rummy and tainted have locked their votes as well (on the person who stands to be lynched), I don't see them making calls for people to move their votes away from the person they want to see voted off. So far in this game, those five most talkative people have made up 75% of the posts in this thread. When those five people all have a reason to be quiet, a considerable dropoff in activity is the result. Plus the whole Passover/Easter weekend thing.

Fair point, but I know that for myself I honestly just have been super busy all weekend and not at a computer. Anything I've posted since Friday afternoon has been via cell phone.

Yep, this ^^^
I was ready to move my vote off of Krissy if nobody else did, even though I know that would have caused a lot of heat. Especially because it would have pulled me out of the runoff altogether, and I'm sure that would have been seen as suspicious.

I was prepared to move my vote off of Krissy at the beginning of the weekend. I had read through everything and was going to post but I wanted to see who would make a move. Krissy having all those votes on her didnt sit well with me either.
Krissy is least suspicious of the three in the runoff for me at this point. Plus, I just can't get over how Jaz took Rummy out of the runoff the way he did. This is based off of the feeling that Rummy didn't make me feel any better of her mafia status during those runoffs. So with that in mind, I want to see a Jaz and Potent runoff.
Hmm. I'm undecided for this vote. Jaz and Potent, have anything more to say re: arguments of innocence? Or are you just gonna let peeps vote as they will?

If you have any questions I'm willing to answer them; other than that I don't think I have too much to say. I'm a townie, and I've laid out my thoughts for why I've thought potent is the best choice for who to be voted off. It seems like people's main suspicion of me is because of the posts I've made regarding him, even though half of them have been because I've been asked direct questions and I've stated throughout that I'm not convinced he's mafia. Maybe because I'm a loudmouth that gets seen as trying to sway the town, but I just offer what I see.
For now, I'm still good with my vote for potent. I'll go through later today and compare both Jaz and Potent to see if anything more jumps out at me that would cause me to move to Jaz.

I will say that what kinda sucks is that the four players who got put into run-offs and were the most scrutinized are precisely the four that participated the most in the thread so far and wanted to facilitate conversation. Of course I get why that happened - it is easy to generate theories and suspicions regarding those who are putting their thoughts out there, but as many people have said, I just really don't feel confident that any of those four are Mafia. And now one is about to be lynched. It is unfortunate. Next round, I will definitely be making an effort to focus on what might be going on with the quieter folks.

Read through - I don't see anything that bumps Jazmo ahead of Potent in my mind so my vote stays. Because the majority of the talk has been from those in the runoff, it makes me think the mafia are okay with how things have transpired. I'm glad we stair-stepped the runoffs so we can look for voting patterns as it feels like we may be lynching a townie this round.
If mafia are / were in the run off, would we expect them to talk more, or less?
I don't see how anyone could draw the conclusion that loud must equal town.
I do see people doing just that. Repeatedly.
For my part - If there were mafia in the runoff, I would expect to see fellow mafia trying to save them. You're right, though - it could be them just laying low hoping we'll come to that conclusion. That's one of the things with this game - it's so flippin easy to talk in circles regarding what the mafia would or wouldn't do.
I know that between Jazmo and Potent, I personally find Potent to be more suspicious with his actions and posts, so that's where my vote is staying (barring something big happening).
I meant that if mafia are / were in any of the run offs this round, I could see them being involved in order to deflect suspicions. The old "would mafia act this way?", but unspoken.
At that point, a good strategy would be to attempt to discredit those not as involved, using the comparison to further look less likely to be Mafia.
So I am not on board with your (& rummaging's) theory being as solid as you two think it is.
On another note krissyjo, you brought up looking for voting moves. I agree. I'm going to try and find time today to confirm what I remember.

I don't disagree with you, but don't you think that the same strategy would be attempted by a townie as well? After all, EVERYBODY in this game has a vested interest in deflecting suspicions and votes off of themselves. That's why you gotta take pretty much what anyone says with a grain of salt.

Exactly - someone's desire to deflect suspicions off of themselves is definitely not necessarily indicative of Mafia status. The town and investigator don't wanna die either!
