Went out to happy hour with friends - wuuut has been going on?! Just saw lots of clusterfuck-ness as I scrolled through the last page and people asking for explanations, and thank god an extension was granted because now I don't know what to think. Gonna read through it more carefully in a moment.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I'm concerned with everyone jumping on potent. He hasn't actually done anything that would blatantly expose him as a mafia. Essentially he switched his votes a couple times and then Jim said that potent is "cleared" without (even now) having provided an explanation. But that's not enough for me to 100% think he's a mafia.
I'm more concerned right now with how strongly the majority of the town has come down on potent. I'm not convinced either way right now, but I'm hoping this move will create some more substantive actions from all players. Again, like most things in round 1, it's a guy feeling.
Everyone has been jumping down my throat for "clearing" potent. Even until now.
I know it was Passover on Friday and Saturday so y'all were probably super busy, but I can't help but notice how quiet the game got once I switched my vote to Krissy. Pretty much no one came at me about that vote switch - a pretty big move that would unilaterally decide for the town whether we have another runoff or not. I can't help but think that the Mafia are 10000% ok with Krissy being voted off so easily. Having said that, I'm switching back to Potent and I strongly encourage a Potent/Jazmo runoff.
Jimmy >> Potent
Then Ferris switches to Jaz after he says Krissy is the "least suspicious" with no explanation
I was prepared to move my vote off of Krissy at the beginning of the weekend. I had read through everything and was going to post but I wanted to see who would make a move. Krissy having all those votes on her didnt sit well with me either.
Krissy is least suspicious of the three in the runoff for me at this point. Plus, I just can't get over how Jaz took Rummy out of the runoff the way he did. This is based off of the feeling that Rummy didn't make me feel any better of her mafia status during those runoffs. So with that in mind, I want to see a Jaz and Potent runoff.
Farris > Krissy > Jaz
He takes Krissy out of the next runoff right before the round ends. After saying he was prepared to vote her off.
Just skimmed through the relevant conversations that have transpired and damn, I really feel pretty 50/50 on this. Don't feel compelled to vote either off as an accused Mafia member. But after review, I have slightly higher suspicious of Jaz, if I had to choose.
Rummaging > Jaz.
(Sorry beb)
She votes for him after voting for Potent and Krissy the entire game.
Everyone switched off Krissy so suddenly without offering much explanation. Does no one else find this weird?
Now I'm not accusing Ferris, Rummaging, and/or Jimmy of being mafia, but this really doesn't sit right with me.
So my reasoning for switching is that it seems like Jazmo is being set up. I think Potent is the safer bet here
I've been consistent in saying this, I believed Jaz was town, up until you switched your vote in the last hour. Now I don't know what to think of the two of you.
The weird thing is that people, especially Jaz, have been killing you for "clearing" me - you could have voted for me long ago and nobody would have blinked. This vote, at this moment in time, is suspicious as quack.

No one should take the time I switched my vote into consideration. There was obviously going to be an extension once I made the vote change

How obviously? You make sweeping statements with no back up, and I've seen you make long posts before.
My pre determined voting pattern. I hadn't even read through the thread when I voted other than to look to see who was after me in the initial lineup and weather or not it would have overstacked.
I'm so glad you decided to sign up for this game.
Look back on the last half dozen games I've played.
I personally think that any accusations or bullcrap, with exception of an inspector coming out, is pointless. I observe for the first round. It's how I play. I need to figure people out in each game, because people's play style changes sometimes, and it can lead to clues.
HOWEVER, until we have a whack, we have NOTHING CONCRETE.
That's my view. So getting involved in a shit show before we have a lynch and a whack to decipher, what's the point in trying to shake out anyone? It's luck to get a mafia in the first round. After that, it's following a trail of clues.
JFG you were mafia with Jim - any similarities between this and 76?
This is really suspicious Potent.
Yes, you've painted a really clear picture of it...
Let me spell it out for you. You made a suspicious as quack vote move in the last hour. JFG has taken an interest in it. You, and JFG, and krissyjo were mafia together previously. I simply asked if your style was similar to that game, from someone who would know. But keep deflecting...

JFG has no more insight than you do. You can go back to the thread yourself and see the same posts that JFG will see. You're the one that's deflecting by asking JFG or Krissy if I am acting similar to being mafia when YOU HAVE THE SAME INFORMATION.
Potent - you wanted to go earlier in this day for the good of the town. What changed? I'm starting rehearsal so won't be able to check in
The only thing that changed was some people, including you, thought it was better for the town to get more voting. I was afraid of two things, first that we didn't have any mafia in the runoff, and second that more talking would only serve to give mafia more cover. I took your point about more votes (and a vote split) seriously, plus there wasn't anything I could do, this town was not going to let me go out peacefully.
It hasn't changed that I'm willing to die for the town, I've said it repeatedly, someone has to die first, I've just asked true townies to view my death as a town death, not a mafia, because viewing me as a mafia member will not help the town win.
This last hour move by Jim also leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. No reasons even given. It looks a lot like when you were mafia with him in 76.
Son of a Beek I stated my opinion in this post. I'm asking for confirmation who shared mafia PMs with you. I already think it makes you look like mafia.
What the hell does that even mean? Do you want me to quote every time an extension has been granted with a late vote?
Sigh. Sweeping statements means you include vast areas of interpretation with little to no details and example to back them up.
#1 - Jim: "No one should take the time I voted into consideration."
#2 - Jim: "There was obviously going to be an extension once I made the vote change"
#1 Why should we discount the most important thing a player could do... vote?
#2 Why was it obvious? Is that why you waited?
No JFG. I said to discount the timeliness of the vote, not the vote itself. Every game of mafia I played when someone made a late vote an extension was granted. I was not comfortable with Jazmo being voted off and I wanted more discussion.

Asking for confirmation from people who shared mafia PMs with you. Sorry for the confusion.

What will the pms tell you that the thread itself can't dude. It makes no sense. You don't need the pms when you have the hindsight of me being mafia in that game. You're deflecting.

I don't need the PMs. I need a second opinion from someone who was mafia with you on whether you are playing similarly.
That last minute vote change was weird. There is no use in Jim trying to rationalize it because, no, we are all (except the Mafia, perhaps) gonna find it an odd move. I still haven't decided what it means in context with this Potent/Jaz situation at hand. Really glad we got the extension. Gonna mull over some things now.

If you were worried about jaz being 'voted straight off' (after multiple run offs) and wanted an extension on a tie rather than voting out potent at the last minute, a null vote would have worked, right?
It would have been a tie and guaranteed the extension you thought you achieved with your late vote.

Or I was going to end up voting for Potent anyway so I could've saved the hassle and did it the way I did it
