I feel like I should post just because I felt like it was best to keep my mouth shut after Jim voted for potent, but I don't want people to think I've disappeared and have people jump on me for it. I'm here. I'm going to reread the thread and see what I can come up with in the context of Rummy's whack.
Initially, the Rummy whack makes me want to look at Jazmo closer, but that also seems like an easy assumption. No time to delve into the thread now if I have any hope of getting to sleep at a decent time, but I'll do so in the morning and see what pops out.
I've said the entire runoff that I actually am not convinced any of the four of us were mafia (if I had to pick one it would have been Krissy), but when deciding between me and Jaz, from my point of view Jaz has to be the most likely to be mafia, because I'm a townie.
Frankly, I think the mafia are happy either way here, as their disadvantage will go from 8-3 to 6-3 as soon as the whack is made.

Also, question: so you guys play where the whack occurs after the lynching of that day? Or have the Mafia already decided who dies for this round? I know the way that I've always played in person, but the OP is a little vague about the timing of it with this online version.
I believe this post, tied with all of Rummy's questions on the night time lead me to believe she was either inspector or at least the mafia thought so when they whacked her (I believe Rummy wasn't inspector but I could be wrong, just don't think she would go out without a mafia member definitely being outed)
Now more specifically in the quoted post, Rummy expresses her want for Krissy to have remained in the runoff (which makes me think that's part of the reason they whacked her). I have a couple theorys swirling, but at this point I wish I wouldn't have moved my vote off of Krissy in the 3 person runoff.
Now I'm not going to go in great detail about my theory's but I will give a list of people I would prefer in this next runoff.
Jimmyroo, Tainted, Jim(reason why Jim is so low is because he has proven to be incompetent as town ie. last game, but he still needs to be in the runoff), the 4th person is more of a toss up but I'll go with Bogart. Not that it matters but 5th place would be Surf.
The only reason I don't have Krissy on the list is because I want fresh blood this round, I'm still very suspicious of her and am interested to see where her voting will go.
Jimmyroos post when he said mafia 1000? didn't mind Krissy getting voted off seemed a tad leading to me. Considering he bumped her to 5 votes from a 4 vote tie when they still have the chance to save her if Krissy proceeded to the final runoff (plus I bet they liked their chances vs Potent) and then brought her back into a two person runoff saying how much mafia are fine with her getting voted off, I don't really buy that.

The only thing I can truly conclude after rereading this thread is that Day 1 was a total clusterfuck. But I think we know that.
When analyzing a whack, I generally start out with the assumption that the Mafia is trying to kill the inspector and is not giving us a red herring. That's what I've always done when I've been Mafia, at least. The latter is obviously a possibility that needs to be looked at, but I don't find that to be the most likely scenario most of the time.
The issue I'm having with Rummy's whack is that she didn't really gun too hard for anyone. She stated in multiple runoffs that she didn't really believe anyone in the runoff was Mafia, as well as a call for more quiet people to start talking (a sentiment echoed by others). Yes, she stacked on me initially and then voted for me in the final round, so it makes sense to look at me because of that. But in the Krissy/Potent/Jazmo runoff, she locked her vote on Krissy when the votes were Krissy - 4/Potent - 4/Jazmo - 3. Since we know she was town and wasn't colluding with anyone to move their vote to me after she locked on Krissy, I don't think it makes sense to look at this whack as pointing to me being Mafia and Rummy being inspector. If that were the case I'd like to think you'd agree that she would either have moved her vote to me or made a push for a Krissy/Jazmo runoff.
Krissy is the only one that I see this whack pointing towards right now, since I know Rummy and I are both town and Krissy is the only other person she voted for (I'm trying to pay more attention to votes than the discussion). Rummy posted a lot in the first round, but on further review, it doesn't seem like she actually said much - nothing too concrete, anyway. A couple of jokes ("I'm looking at you tainted" and "Rummy > jfg"), a lot of probing other players and asking for clarification on the rules, but not a lot of hard evidence. Even her suspicions of Krissy weren't very solid, in my opinion.
I question whether or not the Mafia thought Rummy was actually inspector - if she was, I think that she would have PMed the ref about clarification concerning the whack instead of openly asking about it in the thread - and I'd expect the Mafia to think so as well. Unless maybe that's why they thought she should be whacked - because she was asking about inspectory-type stuff? Because if the whack isn't about Krissy or setting Krissy up, then I'm not sure what it tells us.

To be fair, you would have had to provide even half the substance of your theory for it to be half baked. I'd give it more like quarter baked until you give a reason that doesn't support a runoff involving someone you didn't pick.
Farris completely disregards the part about 2 full days going by after Krissy was up to 5 votes. More than half the players made posts in that time span. Not a single one even broached the subject that the vote was stacked up to 5-3. It's like nobody cared that Krissy was up for a straight vote-off.
For some reason, Farris thinks it's appropriate to raise this issue like 5 days after the fact. Let me ask you this Farris, why didn't you say anything while the stack was up to 5-3?? Why were you so comfortable with Krissy being stacked up to 5-3?

Even though I know Rummy was voting for Jaz to end the last runoff, I don't think that necessarily points to him. I have two reasons for thinking this. (1) In one of the earlier runoffs, Rummy actually removed Jazmo from the runoff before another player voted Jaz back in. (2) Potent was actually pretty staunchly against Krissy, so Rummy may have just been picking the lesser of two evils from her perspective.

Did you miss that part? Anyways, you're going back to page 4 or so and asking why I held my vote on Krissy the entire time. I've explained already that already, page 7ish I assume, but I'll elaborate. To vote for someone by random chance is not the same thing as voting for someone by random chance, and then immediately explaining that the reasoning behind the vote doesn't exist and lol and silly and emoticons all day long. I found that suspicious, why is that so difficult to comprehend? Through the rest of the day, I found several of Krissys nuances questionable. I was not the only one. When Krissy explained herself, I explained my basis for voting for her and additional suspicions of Jazmo. Eventually Jim caught my suspicions, which were compounded in the last minute swing vote.
I don't get what it is that I'm doing that's so suspicious, I don't get at all how you come out swinging on day two describing concerns for this person and voting for that person. I get that we are all suspicious of each other, we didn't get much explanation or benefit out of 17 pages of dribble and a whack that doesn't necessarily leave any breadcrumbs. I may have not made much sense this game in your perspective, and the vote switch on the clock like that was completely a burn out foolish move on my behalf that left me very red in the face. I want to make sure you realize, your approach didn't make any sense to me either. You go off talking about several different people, and explain in very narrow terms that Jimmy is suspicious because he took his vote off of Krissy, whom I have been voting for the entire time. An easy assumption would be that you would have suspicions about Krissy (as I have and still do), not that you would make a b line and vote for the guy that took his vote off one of the most heavily targeted individuals in round 1 (which he did based on suspicions of a group stack that was occurring at the time).
None of that makes any sense to me. I also want it to be noted that when I went back to this post and quoted it, it showed that I had clicked like for it. I'm not sure what affect that will have on the game, but if I need to be penalized next game for it thats fine. It was an honest mistake which I assume happened while I was selecting posts to quote.

Look I will admit when I am incorrect, and I am incorrect. I work during the day and am on my phone when I posted this stuff, for some reason when I looked back at the convo after Tainted asks me what question he didn't answer, I took the second part of what you said as you still wanting a answer from Tainted.

Thanks for that half baked theory, Farris. You quote Rummy saying that she thinks Krissy is most likely as mafia. You don't list Jazmo as someone you're suspicious of (even though Krissy Rummy finished the round voting for him). Instead, you decide to vote for me.

^^ I accept the fact you changed what you meant and I fixed that for you in your quote above. But how fucking brilliant are you Jimmy, I STAYED ON JAZMO long before he was guaranteed to be safe in the final runoff. I wanted Jazmo lynched over Potent and I explained that multiple times. I will state this a million times, I want ALL NEW townfolk from who we had in day 1, although I am not discounting the possibility of there being a mafia member in the day 1 runoff but I feel it will be more beneficial to get all new participants.
Easy decision for now, especially given that he's trying to pick me off. But I also think Krissy needs to be explored as an option. Possibly a third for a runoff as well.

I want to make sure you realize, your approach didn't make any sense to me either. You go off talking about several different people, and explain in very narrow terms that Jimmy is suspicious because he took his vote off of Krissy, whom I have been voting for the entire time. An easy assumption would be that you would have suspicions about Krissy (as I have and still do), not that you would make a b line and vote for the guy that took his vote off one of the most heavily targeted individuals in round 1 (which he did based on suspicions of a group stack that was occurring at the time).
None of that makes any sense to me. I also want it to be noted that when I went back to this post and quoted it, it showed that I had clicked like for it. I'm not sure what affect that will have on the game, but if I need to be penalized next game for it thats fine. It was an honest mistake which I assume happened while I was selecting posts to quote.

I am going off the idea that Potent and Jaz are probably not mafia for the reasons I am voting and pressing the way I am, I believe if we place our sights on a whole new batch of players, that we will get to see more and be able to decide better on day 3 who was more suspicious on day 1. I am leaning towards the Rummy wack not telling us much, and if anything it was used to direct attention back onto the people that were already in the day 1 runoff. I dont mind that much if Krissy gets put in the runoff today. But would want all new participants other than her (and preferably not me, cause I am coming from the perspective I am town) But really I just want all new participants like I have been saying since my 4th or so post in this game... much like Krissy and Jazmo had stated throughout the day 1 runoffs. I can see how mafia would want to paint me as tied to one or both of them. But I will ask the town this.
Why would I talk as much as I have, especially earlyish in the game when there was no chance of me being voted off and I had already stated solid reasons for STAYING ON KRISSY. For me to continue to put pressure on Krissy once I switched off her at the end of day 1 and the second day started would have been suicide for a Krissy/Farris mafia combo.
Yep - I think if one of the four of us were the Mafia, Krissy is most likely. Wish she'd been in the final run off, but what can ya do!
Also, question: so you guys play where the whack occurs after the lynching of that day? Or have the Mafia already decided who dies for this round? I know the way that I've always played in person, but the OP is a little vague about the timing of it with this online version.
I believe this post, tied with all of Rummy's questions on the night time lead me to believe she was either inspector or at least the mafia thought so when they whacked her (I believe Rummy wasn't inspector but I could be wrong, just don't think she would go out without a mafia member definitely being outed)
Now more specifically in the quoted post, Rummy expresses her want for Krissy to have remained in the runoff (which makes me think that's part of the reason they whacked her). I have a couple theorys swirling, but at this point I wish I wouldn't have moved my vote off of Krissy in the 3 person runoff.
Now I'm not going to go in great detail about my theory's but I will give a list of people I would prefer in this next runoff.
Jimmyroo, Tainted, Jim(reason why Jim is so low is because he has proven to be incompetent as town ie. last game, but he still needs to be in the runoff), the 4th person is more of a toss up but I'll go with Bogart. Not that it matters but 5th place would be Surf.
The only reason I don't have Krissy on the list is because I want fresh blood this round, I'm still very suspicious of her and am interested to see where her voting will go.

I thought you said you were going to re-read and come back to me when you could make some sense of this. You see, I have read th entire thread over and over, and its fucking tedious. But I don't see you making strong connections. And I'm not saying I've made strong connections either but I also don't have enough info even with the wack to do anything more than pick a scenario and run with it, much like the rest of town.
If I took Krissy out to save her from the runoff than why am I putting so much indirect pressure on her on day 2? That makes no fucking sense.
Also, just because Jaz was not on my list doesn't mean he's not suspicious to me. There is actually a real possibility he is mafia, but as I previously stated, I want fresh blood in this runoff. Also, I haven't forgotten about Jfg either, him along with Surf and Bogart I don't have much to go off of, but there is a very real chance either of them are mafia.
To be fair, you would have had to provide even half the substance of your theory for it to be half baked. I'd give it more like quarter baked until you give a reason that doesn't support a runoff involving someone you didn't pick.
You haven't been clear or making sense all game, meanwhile avoiding Jaz's questions earlier in the game, instead adding more filler posts. You are suspicious in my eyes, I don't think I'm the only one that was saying that. You NEED to be in this runoff.
So, to summarize: the nine remaining players are yourself, Jimmyroo, Jim, Tainted, Krissy, me, Jfg, surf, and bogart. Of those, the top three you want to see in a runoff are Jimmyroo, Tainted, and Jim, though you're still suspicious of Krissy. But also there's "a very real chance" that myself, Bogart, and Surf are mafia. Good thing you "haven't forgotten about" JFG, because he's literally the only person in the game you haven't thrown in the shadows of your suspicion directly. I can't tell if you're Mafia trying to distance yourself from basically everyone, if you're a townie just trying to broadly apply pressure and see who bites, or if you're just innocently saying whatever and whoever comes to mind in the moment. All I ask is that you bear in mind that if you survive the lynch and then get whacked overnight, we're going to be looking at your posts and getting less from them because you're pointing fingers at everyone. By all means play in the style that suits you, but this popped out at me after reading your posts and I felt it was worth mentioning.
I'm with you Farris wanting to put new faces in the runoff, but I have no clue who I want to vote for. Even if I'm wrong, I like to at least feel like I'm making a semi-informed decision, but I feel like we've gotten very little from the whack. I'm not ready to vote yet, but when I do, consider my vote very mobile. I'm hesitant to pick a random player just for the sake of putting someone new in the runoff, because I know how those type of votes look at this point in the game. I'm quite clueless right now though, and I don't want to harp on the same Jim and Tainted things I pointed out last round because I want to keep my eyes fresh. I don't really feel like rereading this thread again, but it looks like I'm gonna have to. I'll see if I can see something that makes a little bit of sense to me and post my vote later.
