I've been very quiet this game, mostly because of being busy in life and no time to make a thorough read through of the thread. I feel very underqualified to make a decision at this point.
I'm being a shitty player this game, which is not like me.
I am trying to read through everything and make a decent choice. I'm a having to piece together everything and read a couple pages at a time, and it's not exactly helping.
At this point, Krissyjo, you and Jaz are on my radar but I feel more comfortable with you in the runoff if it's a choice. But I am withholding my vote until I read everything and try to make something of it.
Jim - you're probably going to be waiting a while, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say you're leaving us at the edge of our seat.
But Jaz had already posted a reply which prompted Taint to say he spoke too soon.
I feel this constant defending and deferring of pressure away from Jim is very suspicious and is part of what is leading me to put my vote on Jim, the other reasons are Jims actions. His lack of quality responses or quality accusations, he has flat out been much less of a help to the town than Krissy has. Makes me look harder at Surf because of the way I feel and how he voted but he could just not be following well like he has said (which is still bad and eyeraising), or he could be a deceiving mafia.
Overall, I feel much more comfortable placing my vote on Jim, and ask the town to give the way I have looked at things some merit. Also, Tainted putting his vote on Jim this round could easily be so that he could save Jim in a future runoff if that occurred. I am not saying anything definite one way or the other, but have found a strong connection that deserves to be brought to the forefront.
Farris > Jim
I wanted to look back in the thread to see Farris's suspicions of Tainted, but I don't really think they hold water. The above quote by Tainted doesn't really seem like a defense of Jim to me. I had stated that I wasn't going to be available for the night so it would make sense for Tainted to expect me to take a while. And Tainted had the opportunity to take Jim out of the runoff, or at least make a stink about him getting voted off. I feel like something would have been said, unless he was trying really hard not to draw attention to himself by making a move (or didn't check in between when I posted my vote and round end). Part of my reasoning for voting for Jim was to see what Tainted would do, or if someone else would step up to either move their vote from Jim to Farris to bring us back to a tie, or from Farris to Krissy to bring us to another runoff. Neither happened. One thing I did find interesting is Krissy making a more or less superfluous post after I voted for Jim:
I haven't thought about this game at all this weekend. I've had 10 kids at my house Saturday-Sunday and facilitated the twins birthday parties. Feel free to check my Facebook for the insane amount of pictures for proof.
I did a quick catch-up and the thing that popped out at me is Farris' Tainted/Jim theory. I kind of see it, but also don't understand why, if there is that connection, Tainted would be sitting on his vote for Jim. Doesn't strike me as something partners in crime would do. I'm still good with my vote on Farris.
Of course Krissy wasn't going to move her vote. She wasn't going to vote for herself, and she had no reason to push Jim up to five votes. I'm not sure why she felt the need to explain that here. Though I agree with her reasoning regarding Tainted/Jim, I think that her pointing it out before the round ended could have caused Tainted to stay put if he was considering moving his vote. I wish I could see if he would've moved had Krissy not said anything, but oh well - here we are.
I'm having a hard time of reading much from the whack. I understand jfg's desire to keep his cards close to his chest, but now that he's dead, that strategy has left the town with very little. How I read it depends on whether or not he was inspector. If he was, he seemed to have reason for voting for Jim over Krissy in the last round, but mentioned that he's still suspicious of her. In another post he makes mention of a Jaz/Krissy connection, and he voted for me earlier in the game as well. This makes me think there's a good possibility that the opposite Mafia tactic - the red herring - might be employed here. They could be using the whack to point at people who specifically aren't Mafia in order to keep themselves out of the spotlight. Farris I know me mentioning that earlier seemed sketchy to you, but I'm not sure why - we have to consider all possible scenarios in this game, and I consider it my job as town to help point them out. Red herrings are not uncommon in this game at all.
Regardless of the whack, I think that as a town we have to decide what to do with Krissy. She's been in the past two runoffs and there's suspicion enough on her to put her in a third. If she is a Mafia I don't want to keep putting her in the runoff and letting her slip through our fingers, because then she's just serving as a distraction - but my fear is that she's town and a distraction is exactly what the Mafia wants.

After seeing more people come forward with suspicions of Krissy, my concerns grew over her being a scapegoat as well. Its something that needs to be evaluated in its entirety, and part of what moves me to vote for her again is what I perceive to be a very selective approach to posts. This can be incidental, and I keep that in mind, but its still more suspicious than some of the other characters in this game.

Can you explain what you mean by that?
Absolutely, and if I need to be corrected I'll gladly appreciate the debate. I find that at the beginning of this entire thing, you and Krissy were both especially talkative. There has been what I perceive to be a steep decline in messaging from Krissy, there were days when life got in the way and she had a long weekend w the kids around and I can appreciate that but it does seem like even with those thoughts aside there has been a dropoff in the conversation. I see that as occurring for one of two reasons. 1) she is town and feels like if she drops off the radar she will stay safe for another round and be able to benefit the town in later rounds or 2) she is mafia and has toned down her approach in response to the growing number of grumbles by various participants of her possible connection to mafia. I stand behind my vote for Krissy one Day 1, and believe Potent should not have been voted off. When Jim went so easily in Day 2, I had serious questions about the people that voted for Jim and quite frankly more for the people that didn't vote for Jim. Even if Jim was town, he made a move that he must have consciously knew would put him directly in the spotlight for better or worse. Rummy and JFG both felt like either bait kills, or attempts at Inspectors that were either successful or failed attempts (dunno, I'm not inspector) but regardless I've done my best to watch how everyone else reacts just as everyone else has so closely inspected my actions. With all that in mind, I find Krissy's more recent responses to be very calculated, and tactful, which I didn't see early on. I could be in left field with this idea, but its what I have observed.
I’ve seen mention of my different approach to further rounds of the game and I figured I’d explain why. I’ve been going back and forth on when to say anything, but I have two things going on tonight, a busy work day tomorrow, then I’ll be out of town for my chorus competition Thursday-Sunday.
I was going to wait til later in the day to do this, but with so much happening in my personal life, I wanted to just get it out there so the town can stop chasing dead ends.
Truth is, I feel like this:
Cause I've never had this role before, so wasn't sure how I'd do. But here it is, Day 3, and I'm still alive.
STILL.
ALIVE.
So, from now on, you can call me Gadget. INSPECTORGadget.
I'm glad that my style of play made me just suspicious enough to allow the mafia to use me as a distraction, yet not so suspicious that the town lynched me. I was getting pretty nervous there for a while, though. Before I get close to the chopping block again and this post looks like a last ditch effort to save myself, I'm coming out.

Well now there is the issue of the third mafia. Given everything that's occurred so far, instinct tells me that Farris may be a good place to start but that's biased and a bias approach has failed me so far.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Well, you definitely just made the choice for my vote clear. I know sure as shit that I'm town, and there's no reason for a townie to pretend to be inspector. I'm gonna have to assume that there's two Mafia left and that you're trying to buy yourself another round of play since the whack's pointing to you yet again. It makes sense, you have a quiet player in Bogart and you saw that he moved off me when I was up against potent so it's easy to play up that you have "evidence". I really REALLY hope the rest of the town can see through you here.

1. The town can believe I am truly inspector (cause I am) and vote out Jazmo on this day, we go into the night, I get whacked, you all rejoice because it's confirmed that I'm inspector.
2. The town can believe Jazmo's claim that I'm faking inspector as a mafia member. In this case, you can choose to lynch me today, however, you'll not know til the end of the game if that was a smart move or a stupid one (spoilers: it's not smart).
3. The town isn't 100% on either my coming out, or Jazmo's claim, so want to test the theory. Vote someone else out (might I suggest bogart?), then everyone come to a consensus on who I should ask about on Night 3. If I'm still alive going into Day 4 (Don't think the mafia is that stupid though), lynch me.
I'm sure someone is going to say "Oh, maybe you're mafia and the mafia will just whack you to make it LOOK like you were the inspector" and yadda, yadda. If that was the case, then why the hell would I pull a fake inspector? That should only be used if the mafia is out of options, don't you think? Way too dangerous otherwise.

Hmmmm, if Krissy is being nefarious right now, that's pretty damn risky on her behalf. That being said, it's day three and there is a good chance the town will lose if we don't make the right choice today. I can't just jump on Jaz this early in the day since he is already stacked and I don't want it to be a landslide yet, although that doesn't mean I won't move my vote to him before the day is over. I feel my vote will be better served by someone whose been quiet and already accused. I want you to speak up today bogart.
Sorry ladies and gentlemen I just got home from work.
Ok I am going to start off by addressing the elephant in the room. I am not going to pretend that as of now things look good for me. I am going to provide some arguments, reasons, and quotes’ to try and prove why I know krissy is faking inspector., but in the end I know my chances are slim. I know she is faking inspector because I am a townie. That much I know 100%. So now we must question why she would do such a thing. Looking back in my mind I remember something similar in one of the last games I played (59-64?), the difference being the real inspector came out to call the fake one out. As of this post no one has come out to disprove krissy (and if they did who would believe them anyways?). So this can be one of three options:
1. Krissy is inspector, me and jaz are mafia, jim is a townie. This is the option most of you will end up believing no matter what I say. I understand that, I really do. 2. Krissy is faking inspector when she is actually mafia. This is what I believe is the case. Why would this happen you might ask? Simple, we are on a day were theoretically the mafia can win with a townie lynch. If potent, rummy, jim, and jfg were townies then the mafia just needs one more townie lynch to win the game. What is the easiest way to get a guaranteed townie death? Fake inspector. For this to work it helps that the real inspector is dead, which given rummy’s whack would make sense to believe. Since she voted for krissy in day one. 3. Krissy faking inspector when she is a townie. Granted this is the least likely to happen, as it would be entirely detrimental to the town, just wanted to cover all of the bases.
Now I am going to present the evidence for option 2:
When people say "the inspector surviving and coming out," you don't mean that s/he would actually come out and divulge their status, right? Because then wouldn't they be killed pretty quickly by the mafia?
And the night ends as soon as the Inspector has submitted his/her guess and the Mafia has made their kill?
Two quotes that might have also led the mafia to believe rummy was the inspector. This is rummy’s first game remember, I can see her posing these questions to us in order to know what to do being the inspector.
One last thing that I think should be noted is if me or jaz were mafia then why hasn’t one of us faked inspector? She would have us dead to rights at the moment., yet neither of us have done anything drastic. Not that I am claiming to know jaz is 100% a townie or not.
Believe me or not I worry this game is coming to an end. I should have spoken up more and I know that. Life has a way of getting in the way right at the worst time.
Krissy, now for some questions.
1. Why jim? 2. Why jaz? 3. Why didn’t you point any suspicion in my direction early to strengthen your claim? I know voting for me out of the gate would have been dumb if I were actually mafia, but you have played enough with me to know I usually don’t jump down peoples throats at the first sign of being accused. 4. Who would you “ask about” next?
Exciting time for ghosts! Interested to see what shall happen now.
(I'm allowed to post non-informational comments like that, yes?)
No. You may post about the weather, golf scores, favorite color of crayons, and your opinion regarding Mac and Cheese or Cheese and Mac. But nothing about the game.

Thank you for the response Bogart. You bring up good points. It's interesting how once Taint indicated he was not inspector today that Krissy then comes out as inspector in the very next post. Almost as if he was the last question mark.
If Krissy is mafia, that almost directly connects Jimmy to her. He was the one afterall, that pleaded to save her from the runoff on day 1 (which I stupidly obliged) and him voting for her was a big hoax like I called him out on at some point during this clusterfuck. Surf would be right behind him, he missed a vote that his only option would have been either a throwaway or Jimmy. I'm feeling Krissy is a fake at this point.

At the expense of sounding like I'm doubting you or that I'm supporting Bogart and Jazmo, can you please explain why you decided to guess for each Jim and Jazmo? I think that's a fair question to ask before I hop on board.
