For Rummy - a lot of it boils down to the "lack of substance" in her posts. I know I've been accused of doing this in previous games - and the most recently, I was mafia. Also, the sarcasm early on was a bit off-putting as it's really hard to read sarcasm. Could be using it as a shield along with the "I'm new to this game of mafia" thing.
This is my initial run-off vote, though, so it could likely change depending on the way the conversation goes. I'll go back through and look at the others in the runoff, too.

All totally fair. I recognize that I didn't enter the game's conversation with the best tone, in regards to strategy. It is 100% true that I'm feeling out the vibe among the group, and the format, but it makes a lot of sense for you to interpret that as me playing dumb. Maybe I just actually am dumb though haha

Does anyone else get the sense that the four of us in the runoff are not mafia and they are sitting back at ease right now?
Wouldn't surprise me. There's a reason only the four of us are talking. I'll be taking a stiff look at a bunch of the non-talkers after this runoff. I have my thoughts now but since they're not up for voting I feel like disclosing them would just be a distraction right now.

I don't have much to contribute at this point, though I feel I've provided a logical stance for why I am indeed townie. I do appreciate that the thought has been discussed ad nauseam, though it doesn't appear to be picking up as well as we would all hope.

First voting round has gotta be mostly a crap shoot, but especially when a cluster of people aren't talking at all.

So what's everyone's opinion on how to continue this day? A runoff between rummaging and Krissy seems like the direction we're taking at the moment. I think at this point it's pretty safe to clear Potent, and I think Jazmo should stay for now because he's been a solid facilitator of discussion thus far.
Of the four in the runoff my rankings from most to least suspicious would be 1. Krissy 2. Rummaging 3. Jazmo 4. Potent
At this point I'm more suspicious of the people who are electing to remain online but not contribute to the conversation. I don't have a who and why yet, but as soon as I do I will post it. It seems to me that the first round is not going in any sort of logical direction, leaving all of our asses exposed and more of an opportunity for Townies to go down in multitude.
Well, you know I've been part of the conversation. I have nothing to hide, as I'm a member of the town. But I realize that someone has to die on the first day and there's an 8 out of 11 chance it's a townie, so if I'm going down, I'm getting as much info out there as possible to help the town. With this reasoning, and to help Krissy get the number of people in the runoff that she wants, but not the exact people, I'm moving my vote.

He was the first to vote for me, so I will reciprocate here noting that it is based on nothing but reciprocation. I could have reciprocated to the other vote on me, but that would have put him in the runoff and would really have made little discernible difference to where we are. In other words, my vote is a throwaway to get to a 4 person runoff.
You voted for Tainted earlier because he was an early person to stack. What is your reasoning for now taking him out? Because that's what krissy wants? If you're suspicious of Tainted why not just let him proceed into the runoff?
Because I'm just as suspicious of everyone else. A 5 person runoff is not appealing to me - while I like to get info out there, I also don't like the game to go on forever, so an extra 36 hours for one undecided vote to move seems superfluous to me. 4 is a good number, I will agree with those who said it. Plus, I want to see what other dominoes fall and who pushes them.
*I especially don't like the game to go forever if I'm going to be lynched first.

My suspicions for you are based on your general demeanor, your excessive use of the smiley's at the end of what I perceived to attempted influential posts, and your approach to reminding people yesterday on a couple posts (as I recall) that 1) this is how many people are in the runoff and 2) this is who you believe should be in and 3) you don't want to be in a 4) what does anyone else think? all of those thoughts, when combined and repeated, set off an alarm. This is all brought together by the final reason, which is that I am indeed town and as a result am trying to think as objectively as possible so as to not witch hunt townies - Even when being objective, your approach has managed to be (to me) as if not more suspicious than the people who have stayed more or less silent.
Jim I'm also interested in your reasoning for clearing potent (you may have answered that by the time I finished typing this, but I wanted to express my desire in seeing your response as well).
I've been quieter this round because I've pretty much heard what I want to hear from Rummy, Krissy, and potent at this point - it's our quieter players I want to hear from, and their inactivity makes it difficult for me to engage with them. I'm also very interested in seeing where potent and bogart place their votes. I have the mild beginnings of a theory or two brewing, but I want to see where the votes go before I voice them. It's too easy for me to get wrapped up in my own theories and end up getting tunnelvision.

These are the moments/behaviors of Krissy that I have found to be suspect as well.
I'm also quite confused why jim has declared that Potent is "cleared?" Very strange to me. I wouldn't be surprised if Potent is in the mafia, but I am sticking to my vote for Krissy unless something unprecedented occurs in discussion/revelations tonight.

Random vote. No predetermined pattern or anything. Maybe I should start coming up with one like many others have. Let's say I'll initially vote for the last on the list in first rounds. Sounds good, yeah? lol
You consider this to be quiet? This seems pretty much par for the course for the first day. Would you prefer that people start throwing wild accusations unnecessarily? In two of the last three games this resulted in the inspector's hand being forced, and in both cases he was whacked during the first night. I'm all for talking and discussion, and I agree that quiet Mafia games are generally not good for the town, but we're barely halfway through the first day. I think feeling uneasy is premature.
I'm all for a 4-way though.
Maybe I'm just used to the last few games being insane during the first day, so I was expecting the same lol
My logic is simple, most players have a routine and while I don't find it strange when someone picks someone at random, I do find it strange when someone picks someone and then explains that they are voting for them based on nothing at all. As for stacking, the votes were cut five or six ways one way with a single individual having two votes. Between those flags, I had my first vote. I doubt I'll be changing it, barring a shift in what pans out.
As for taking your targets off jazmo so quickly after declaring your pattern, can you explain a little more why you don't want to be in a runoff with him?
So on Day 1 - someone saying they're voting based on nothing at all vs not giving a reason is cause for a flag? That's silly to me. And not just cause you voted for me lol
You're welcome to your opinion. I know from experience that hindsight is usually 20/20 when it comes to choosing a 3 or 4 person runoff in round 1. On one hand, a 4 person runoff can potentially coral a mafia (or second, or third mafia) into the runoff. On the other hand, it can be a tactic by mafia to dilute the runoff pool with a townie and offer better chance of survival.
I'm not going to pretend like I know which one is better at this point in the game.
Trust me, I don't know which one is better, either - which is why I bring it up in just about every game I play. I understand both of your points about a 4 person runoff, so I can go either way. I've honestly never thought of the flip side of the mafia diluting the runoff pool, so thanks for that.

Okay, so we're now at a 5 person run-off between Potentpotables, Tainted Opossum, Krissyjo, Jazmo, and Rummagingforanswers7
I think that's overkill, so would like to see it whittled down to 4 or 3. Due to the conversations, I'd like to see Jazmo, Potent, and Taint in it. The fourth could be a toss up between me or rummaging. Obviously, for self-preservation sake, I'd rather not be in it, but for the town's sake, it doesn't bother me to be there.

Of course. I can appreciate that this is your first game, and that its your first vote, but I don't buy the defense of a return vote - at least not to the extent that you should no longer be considered possible mafia. One of your posts on page 1 lead me to believe that you are more than likely town, however I don't really rest my head on "more than likely". Your initial vote is either concerning, or not concerning at all and complete proof that you are indeed fresh in this game and town. I haven't been able to clearly decide which yet, but time will tell.
Ummmmm I think you're confusing me with someone. Rummy maybe? Cause not my first game... and didn't do a return vote. I voted for jimmy and haven't moved.
Viking hasn't been in to give us a deadline, but since rounds are at least 36 hours, the deadline should be no earlier than 9am tomorrow CST.

Okay, so 8 Emoticons. That's what part of the suspicions are are based off of. Personally, I find it to be a pretty bullshit reason. But hey, grab at whatever straws you'd like. Since this was so long, I'll respond to the other suspicions in a separate post.
