Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
It would be appreciated if any of the other nominees looked at past T.I.N. threads and got into the spirit of the thing. It doesn't mean anything but it means everything. Please increase the petty insults and arguments. Some of the people are here to see who wins, but most of them are here for the blood.
I feel increasingly justified in objecting and rejecting any nomination of myself when I was eligible, and quite happy I am no longer a candidate.
I know when I'm not qualified, and felt I've pooped enough to help make this place the warm, cloying place it is.
i mentioned the fact that we havnt had a T.I.N in about two years in a different thread, which sparked this thread. Let's just call it a lock out year, and we can blame it on Kanye, cool?
I'm trying to think of who could be the 2013 TIN, but all I can think of is Monie and her seemingly 10,000 posts. Who else was there?
It's not 10,000.... It's like 6,000 something....
And actually, there was a bit of discussion last year for who TIN was going to be. If you look at the last page or so of the 2013 thread it's in there.
I'll gladly accept though, despite being a year late. But as long as you all recognized my excellence eventually, I suppose I can forgive you. I am the Queen after all. What better person to give this prestigious award to. And I am the first female recipient. Just over here, making history.
sorry, I've been too busy ogling at my newly received most annoying poster award while trolling annoying people on tinder to pay proper attention to this.

I just noticed your status quote thing under your avatar... perfect.
Flanzo was the TIN for 2011, awarded in 2012 Tom was the TIN for 2012, awarded in 2013
Who would be the TIN for 2013?

If it is being called a lockout shouldn't Bettman get the blame?

Men and women (and kangaroos) of Inforoo, lend me your ears. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for being considered for this prestigious award. Special thanks to Dave Maynar for the nomination, nodepression for being the visionary architect behind this award, and last but not least, Boner for erecting this thread and ejaculating life into a wonderful tradition that had previously grown flaccid from months of neglect. As I reflect back upon this past year, it humbles me to think that my name could even be mentioned in the discussion of this award. Only a year ago, I was but a lowly lurker, too timid to join the ranks of the elite and world-renown Inforoo community. Since enlisting in October, I have ascended to my current position of Showerless Shakedown Vendor and become a shining example of the mediocrity, I mean excellence, that that plagues this community.
As the long list of nominees suggests, competition was fierce among the Class of 2014. From smellycat's ranting about first-world problems, to Vieux’s serial “liker” status, to ゴジラ's ridiculous Godzilla avatars, to Decaanter and Suriel’s suspiciously well-mannered disposition, to trantsgiving’s amusing immaturity, each candidate brings something unique to the table and has made a lasting impression on the Inforoo community. Unfortunately, only one individual can take home this coveted award each year. Ideally, the Inforoo Rookie of the Year should exhibit certain attributes that best embody the spirit of Inforoo. Specifically, these attributes include: 1) sound judgment, 2) willingness to chastise others for stupid or ignorant comments, 3) proper use of internet gifs/memes, 4) appreciation of sarcasm, 5) occasional contribution of useful information pertaining to Bonnaroo and the general music world, 6) willingness to expand one’s musical horizons, 7) sense of community, and most importantly, 8) occasional mocking of Phi’s penis size. Clearly, these are very high standards, and not everyone can live up to these lofty expectations. During my short tenure on Inforoo, I believe that I have exhibited these qualities better than any other nominee not named billybaroo.
With your support, I hope to be this year’s recipient of the 2015 Thomas Ian Nicholas Rookie of the Year Award. If honored with this award, I promise to use any power or influence I may gain solely for the benefit of the Inforoo community and not my own self-serving interests. Unlike billybaroo, I would not impose a tyrannical oppression of one’s preference for a particular breakfast food, even if I know said person’s beliefs are misguided. You can put your complete trust in me, as you know that meteorologists can always be trusted (just ask Lewis Black). Thank you, good night, and God bless!

As a member who just joined in January 2015, I don't know how much sway I'm allotted with this 2014 Supreme Board Member aka T.I.N. award, but this guy just won me over with his succinct yet convincing speech.billybaroo threw in a lot of humor and raised good points, but this one was brief and articulate and also specifically mentioned the importance of conversing about Phi's penis size on a regular basis. So, if I'm allowed a vote here, mine goes to Swedish Chef

that's all I give a shit about.
This is an impressive list of shows. I would probably be broke and homeless if I went to that many shows, so I admire the fervent dedication to music.
That being said, you know what's truly bullshit? Your stubborn refusal to capitalize proper nouns, as well as the first word in any sentence.

I have nothing against smellycat whattttsoever, but I do have everything against incessant improper use of grammar/capitalization/etc. (unless meant sarcastically, such as my "whattttsoever" or other similar moments of obviously intentional error/misuse), so this made me lol a lot.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
My concert spreadsheet has 97 acts listed for 2014. I could type them all out but I'd rather waste time discussing the Wire. Also, I told my mom to stop celebrating her birthday and get me some cute baby photos ASAP.

You have a fucking concert spreadsheet?
I went to 96 shows last year. I never really thought about keep track until 2013, then it was too late to remember everyone so I started for 2014. I think keeping a word doc or something with a list of everyone is actually a really good idea. I may start doing that.
I guess this is a +1 for billybaroo? And probably a +1 for smellycat too, because I just realized she has dates on hers. Which means she must keep an updated list somewhere too.
