bundle up in some layers and blankets. open your under sink cabinets and drip faucets if it gets too cold. fill containers with water just in case you need it. hope the power comes back soon, stay safe.
just came back on 🙃
Good. I’ve been worried about the frog.
And on that note, I sometimes share with Mr. Druid my concerns for some of my fellow inforoosters to which he replies, “Do you even know these people? Why do you care?” To which I reply “But they are my Inforoo family.”
For top fun and wind protection when walking into a blizzard simply put a large piece of cardboard in front of you for protection. Gets the same exercise as a football pushing sled and keeps your hands free.
Real feel in Pittsburgh is -17. Actual temp is -1. It's a good day to stay inside, watch Christmas movies, and wrap presents.
i've been up since around 4am when that absolutely insane wind woke me. went out and chased trash and recycling down the street, cleared the porch for the mailman and felt like i was going to freeze solid. my poor pup is just refusing to even go outside today. hope you haven't lost power in this mess.

Yeah, even with gloves my hands hurt so bad after just walking the pups. The wind also kept waking us up last night! We have power though and I'm grateful we didn't really have to go anywhere today. The wind's been wild!
I lost power yesterday afternoon as the front was passing through. Had some strong wind gusts knock out a transformer down the street.
At least we didn't have any snow or black ice issues here.
Power came back on around 130 am. It's 6 degrees this morning, wind chill subzero. Shoutout to the power line Crews, helping everyone out day and night.
It was 49 degrees when I woke up this morning, which isn't even comparable to what people elsewhere are going through, but riding a scooter in a wet, chilly wind sweeping in from over the ocean in Miami Beach is a different kind of cold. I can't explain it.
When I went to Florida for the holidays, you could tell who was local and who wasn't. The Floridians were all bundled up, the tourists were all in t-shirts.

It's not the temperature, it's the wind. That ocean air cuts through no matter what you're wearing to get to your core
