It’s 60 and misty and foggy and drizzly. But I’m not bitching. Looks like the Gulf Coast will be spared super cold again which is good. Not a bad winter so far even with that 26 night.
Its been cold af here. So cal cold is a diff type. Frost and freeze warnings were in effect last night too.
We have freeze warnings here, too, but we normally just call them October-May. The single-digit temps we had the last couple days aren't that unusual but the wind chill that comes with them when it starts blowing is something you can never really get used to. Yesterday was the first day this winter I've really hated being outside. It was no bueno.
Some of the towns nearby weren't nearly as awful. -20 temps instead of -40, wind chills closer to -50 than -100
Oh, yeah, I know it isn't usually as crazy in the rest of the state. I haven't spent a lot of time there but news and headlines that mention NH always catch my eye because my sister lives in Nashua. It's lovely there and my visits have been fun but they get some nasty winter storms. I think we usually get more snow here in NE Ohio because of the lake effect bullshit though.
Los Angeles has gotten more snow this winter than most of New England
I'm not sure exactly which town you're in these days and every mile matters around here, but I think I have had like... 4-5 total? One time of 3-4 and then dustings.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

We might get something next week
However, I'll believe it's going to rain until I see otherwise.

Haha. Y’all be safe driving if shit does get flooded or icy over in the Southland. I was there in 1987 when it snowed which was pretty incredible. You could see across the Valley and watch the snow clouds in the San Gabriel Mountains. There was no smog for like two days as well. That was as clear as I ever saw across San Fernando Valley. It’s 70 here and hopefully at least 80 the next few days. Should be foggy most of the morning because of the warmer land temps. I thought about going back home to Florida but I’m mad at Florida, so I’m going to blow it off for a couple weeks. It would have been nice to catch a couple warm days over there.
Floods? Well yeah. Chains required in the mountains and the grapevine closed once but re opened and might not be the only time. And some areas lost power last night.
