We want it to rain. All weekend if possible. It helps dissipate the chemtrails and mind control drugs they use, and makes it difficult for the spy drones to fly around and get accurate images. Plus if everyone is in rain coats they can't tell us apart as easily. Be vigilant, comrade.
You joke but i had a long talk with an Inforooer a couple of years back who was certain that it was raining because of chemtrails.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

If it rains hopefully it will be a light rain durin' the peak hours of daylight to cool everythin' off.
Or a few solid downpours before the fest to cut down on dust.
I don't ever wanna repeat the weather of my first year in 2007 either!
This thread is the worst! Y'all are cursing/uncursing Bonnaroo, showing pictures of SERIOUSLY scary, flooded out festivals (I image that is what ACL would have looked like on Sunday 2013 if there was camping, for real!), and talking about the bonnadust 2007. This is my first Bonnaroo, there should only be talks of rainbows, unicorns and awesomeness like that.
Alright, so I know I'm late, but you know how you'll see people crowd surfing at some shows in the little, inflatable rafts? How perfect would it be if you were one of those people and you came back from a show to everything like this?! You could row out to your tent/others and help people out! Plus it'd be fun just to row around the aisles a bit (obviously not worth it though.) Seriously though, this is quite possibly the worst scenario you could ever face while camping at a fest. (Aside from death)
so we're cursing bonnaroo this year by making a thread about the rain? wtf guys, just wtf
1. Pack mud boots. 2. Pack ponchos, rain jackets, rain pants, extra hat. 3. Pack extra towel. 4. ??? 5. Enjoy sunny weather./Profit!!!
I hope we all prepare accordingly, and all of our preparations go for naught when it drizzles just enough to keep the dust down. Isn't there a 60-day weather forecast yet from one of the major news outlets? I thought that was what the Uber-MegaDoppler 5000XL II system was for.

It's like a tent city version of post Katrina NOLA, it's quite possibly the worst scenario you could ever face while camping at a fest. (Aside from death)
Do not speak of things you do not know about. This is NOTHING compared to what happened after Katrina.

I just messaged her directly once I saw it and I read it and saw how poor my wording was. When I compared the two, I meant to simply compare the picture of the tents to the pictures of the houses (the tops of the tents reminded me of the rooftops in the flood.) But the way I wrote it originally made it sound like I was comparing the devastation caused by the two events, which is obviously not even remotely comparable.

Who was at the Hudson project last year when it turned into the Mudson project? More rain and mud than I've ever seen at a fest. Also the first time I had been to a fest that was shut down due to the weather

The threat of the rain and mud is actually the reason I decided to not go to the Hudson Project this year. Every time I think of those grounds for festivals, I just think of Woodstock '94 when Primus started the bass line for My Name is Mud and the crowd started throwing mud at the stage and they stopped and Les was like, "very funny, I get it, don't fucking throw mud at us" hahahaha. It cracks me up every time I think of it (I was not there but I've seen a video of it)
BTW, to whoever mentioned the original Woodstock earlier, that is EASILY the worst a festival has ever been managed (the vendors ran out of food before the music even started, multiple people died, etc.)

Youtube has the entire Primus set from that.... experience. Les is hilarious, "Well I guess I should have seen that coming"

They are having it again this year?!?!?! I know bisco was denied the permits but if Hudson comes back and the lineup is halfway decent I'll probably go again. its not that far for me and although it rained and it was wicked muddy id go back. Our neighbors were the shit and it was a pretty good time for a first year fest.

It was, and for that I thank you the flavorus folks did tell me they think its coming back just haven't gotten any info on dates tickets or anything. They said "they were not contacted to sell the tickets for this years event" now if that's because its just not happening at all I'll be bummed until I find that out there's still hope!
