Yea, that looks pretty good IMO. It could be cooler, but it could also be a LOT warmer. It looks to be the right amount of precipitation to keep the dust down without making things muddy. No major storm systems (unlike central illinois which is currently being hammered).
THURSDAY`S WEATHER MAP WILL FEATURE HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OFF THE EAST COAST OF FL. RIDGING WILL BE ORIENTED TOWARD THE NORTHWEST WITH THE AXIS ALIGNED ACROSS THE CAROLINAS AND EASTERN TN. AT THE SFC...A SOUTHERLY FLOW WILL PREVAIL WITH A REASONABLE MOISTURE TAP OFF OF THE GULF. NO APPRECIABLE DYNAMICS TO WORK WITH BUT WITH CAP DETERIORATION EACH DAY...LOW CONVECTION CHANCES WILL STILL BE IN THE FORECAST.
ON FRI AND SAT...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL ELONGATE W-E BUT WILL REMAIN NORTH OF TN. THIS WILL HOWEVER...ENHANCE OUR MOISTURE RETURN DESPITE THE GENERAL SUMMERTIME UPPER RIDGING FRONTAL BLOCKADE REGIME. CONVECTIVE PARAMETERS BECOME MORE FAVORABLE FRI AND SAT SO POPS WILL INCREASE SOME. I DONT REALLY SEE MUCH IN THE WAY OF OVERNIGHT NOCTURNAL ACTIVITY...MOISTURE AMOUNTS ARE TOO LOW AND UPPER LEVEL ENERGY/DIVERGENCE IS ABSENT.
FOR SUNDAY...UPPER LEVEL HIGH AND ASSOCIATED RIDGING WILL BEGIN TO ASSERT ITSELF ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S.. HIGH PRESSURE AT THE SFC WILL ATTEMPT TO STACK BENEATH THE RIDGE AS WELL...THEREBY DECREASING THE CONVECTIVE COVERAGE SOME. LOW POPS TO CONTINUE AS THE AFT CAPE TO CAP RATIO STILL LEANS TOWARD SOME ACTIVITY.
FOR THE EXT TEMPS...850 MB TEMPS AROUND THE 18C LEVEL WILL PERSIST INITIALLY. WE WILL HOWEVER SEE VALUES INCREASE TOWARD 20C AS THE UPPER HIGH ATTEMPTS TO TAKE OVER BY SUNDAY AND MONDAY. MEX NUMBERS LOOK A BIT TOO HIGH WHILE SUPER BLEND LOOKS A TOUCH TOO LOW. WILL GO AHEAD AND LEAN TOWARD A BLEND OF THE TWO. SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH OVERALL MOISTURE TO GO WITH THE COOLER SB AND IGNORE THOSE AFOREMENTIONED HIGHER 850 MB TEMPS.
The rain we are expecting here today should be perfect to knock the dust down and bring the grass up for us this week. Should get about an inch at Bonnaroo

from what I can see the severe thunderstorm watch is until tonight at 7pm. i think we are ok everyone. basically a 50% chance of rain during roo which you could say pretty much every year.
It was Gatlinburg, Thursday last week. I found the post, but yeah. Fucking crazy.
That's not crazy. I guess we've just been lucky that there hasn't been a hail storm at roo.
You are right, because during roo a few years ago, my ex was there doing hail damage repair (PDR) on cars because there was a hail storm a few days before the festival. So no, not crazy...just not something I don't want to experience first hand at a festival. I would also be worried about my car, since I now longer have a reliable dent guy on call.
The hail is because of a front TONIGHT. it is not expected to do this during roo. Pop up showers only and sporadic at that. Yall can un-wad your panties now.
no idea, but from my friend who works security and is currently at the farm, it's hailing there.

Hail is actually pretty common tennessee, especially as you move east from from the central pleateàu toward the Appalachians. It's not Texas or anything, but summer hailstorms do happen.

It hailed here last week. It has to be some serious hail to damage a car. But it would probably do damage to some tents (it put holes in my grill cover) and it wouldn't feel good to be hit by it.
