Out of the years I've been 2007 was definitely the worst. When at the campground, we would carry our chairs into a mist tent near our campground because sitting in the shade by our tent was pure hell. I think it reached the upper 90s that year and didn't rain once. I coughed up black stuff for a week after that. Good times!
Consider yourself lucky...I would love to have a job where I'd be wrong about 50% of the time and not get fired for it!
Thought about making a sexist joke here but held back. Had to at least let it be known that there's one floating around in my head right now. I don't want to be alone with it.

but for real, what is the call for weather right now? I am too lazy to check or go back and read (1) page of this thread. Can someone update me?
EDIT: 2 pages.
No point even looking at a forecast this far out, it's a guessing game at this point.
Don't even bother looking til we're a week out.
Shit, even then it can be tough. For Levitation, one day before, we were forecast 80-90% chance of rain the whole weekend. Friday was wet, Saturday had a quick passing shower in the morning, and then Sunday was dry. The rain didn't really hit til Monday morning.
Just know we're going to have a great time regardless of the weather!
last year, waking up to a slight drizzle wasn't too bad. the mud at kanye sucked but also made it fun. the guy i went with lost his flip flop in the mud. the only shitty thing about rain is that once the rain goes away and the sun comes out, it tends to get muggy.

The first time I'd ever heard about Bonnaroo was almost 5 years ago and the guy explained it to me "I survived Bonnaroo" -- I smiled and nodded like I knew what he was talking about and went home and googled Bonnaroo. While last year wasn't that bad, I do like the idea of being able to say you survived something. It makes you that much more of a hardcore fan. Whether it's a hardcore fan of the artist or the festival...... I like it.
I was there that year! In fact, my friends are in the left photo. It was a great time once you embraced the fact that everything you were wearing was going to be soaked through. The mud was at my knees (and I'm a pretty tall guy), so there were a lot of people dumping the water out of their boots on the ferry back to manhattan.
Overall, would probably not recommend unless you realllllly like mud.

I have been to a ton of fests that end up being mud pits. I am so glad that I have rain boots, it makes life so much better. I am not a fan of the mud pit scene at the festivals. The rain doesn't bother me, but not being able to sit down all day and walking in the mud, really drains you. I am hoping for hotter than hell, maybe a drizzle to cool it off and allow the humidity to kick in full force and then the nighttime cool down.
I see people (tourist) dressed like this in NOLA, in 90? weather with 80% humidity. I just don't get it.
I wore jeans to bonnaroo last year. People find that crazy lol
I bet they did. That wouldn't make me look twice. I see people in all black (including long sleeve shirts) at Jazzfest, that is weird. The tourist with those outfits just make me question what they were thinking. Idk...Personally, I am planning on packing clothes that I would wear to Jazzfest. It is about the same temperatures/weather even though its a bit earlier in the year than Roo. But I am doing shorts/dresses/tanks/leggings. I will bring jeans just in case, but I am pretty sure the leggings will be fine.

During the day, you will want to be naked almost. During the night, you'll be pretty chilly. Especially if you get sunburnt. Your attire seems pretty legit so you should be fine! The only thing at night I took was a hoodie. The guy I went with last year wore the same tank top every day and swim trunks. The night of Kanye, when his flip flops broke, he walked back to camp muddy, shoeless, freezing, in just a tank top and swim trunks and was miserable. I think his teeth were chattering at one point. I was super warm in my hoodie though.

Well being a natural redhead, sunscreen is my best friend. My friends make fun of how much I use and have often I reapply... but I rarely leave a fest burned so there is that. Yeah, Jazzfest is the same, as close to naked as possible. I have my hoodie on my packing list too. Being in VIP I figure that I can run back to camp and throw on leggings and grab my hoodie if I get cold. (if I have a busy night of shows, I'll probably pack it with me)

You're right. Last year on Friday night it got chilly. By the time we got back to camp the grass was wet with dew and it was glorious for curling up and sleeping. Well until 8am when the sun blazed and I was miserable. Problems of being a Doughy Boy

Part of it might be, some people DIDN'T survive the weekend in 2010 and 2011. CarpeDM died in 2010, and there were three more deaths in 2011. (Two of those in 2011 were also registered on Inforoo.)
I started going in 2010, which was hell. I'm guessing 2007 was the mud year, because I can't think of too many other ways it could possibly be worse than 2010.
2007 Without the mountains
I think 2011 had more humidity which can be brutal fer sure. But Druid's post of tumbleweeds still has too much green in it fer 2007. No rain. No clouds. And it was my first 'Roo and we were not prepared! We had all of two tarps to try and construct shade between our two cars of totally different size.
